Inspiration

Bobalicious was inspired by the love for bubble tea and the joy of exploration. The idea of collecting boba pearls in a vivid, dreamlike world felt like the perfect mix of fun, creativity, and challenge. I wanted to design a game that captures the essence of bubble tea culture while offering players a visually stunning experience. I also wanted to push the limits of what can be done with the Meta Ai tools.

What It Does

Bobalicious is a mobile focused game within Horizon Worlds where players navigate a mesmerizing, colorful environment to collect boba pearls and unlock special rewards. The game features dynamic movement, interactive obstacles, and a satisfying gameplay loop that keeps players engaged.

How I Built It

Using Horizon Worlds AI tools, I designed vibrant environments and scripted intuitive pearl-collecting mechanics. Key development elements included:

🎨 World-building – Designing a visually immersive space. Most of the environment was build using Meta AI tools, with some finishing touches done in Maya
🏆 Game Mechanics – Implementing an interactive system for boba pearl collection and progression tracking.
🎶 Audio & Effects – Adding soundscapes and visual effects to enhance the experience.

Challenges I Ran Into

The journey wasn’t without obstacles! Some challenges included:
