Inspiration
1.3 billion people, or 16% of the world's population, experience some form of disability, whether it be vision, mobility, auditory. We wanted to help individuals with disabilities or those who are colorblind to choose the most appropriate foundation shade for their skin tone. 📈Improved accesibility by help make the makeup selection process more accessible to individuals with disabilities who may face physical or cognitive challenges in navigating traditional makeup counters or online stores. Its funny there is often frustration of trying different makeup products before finding the right one. of spending a small fortune on half-empty bottles.
What it does
Users upload a photo of themself with makeup applied, and then using machine learning to detect the users skin tone on their face and match it to the closest shade in the dataset. This could help individuals with disabilities or those who are colorblind to choose the most appropriate foundation shade for their skin .This ✏️ aid could be especially helpful to individuals with disabilities who may have unique skincare need or challenges.
How we built it
I built the solution using the Color Dataset 📓 , shades of foundation by beauty brands around the world. Then i used tensor flow to train the model build an AI model . from the data, I trained the model with tensor flow targeted ’shade’ at Peltarion . featured the React frontend to display upload. the dependent / target variable is the shade of foundation and we needed to develop a model using the rest of the dataset features to predict the target. Develop an interface for the app: 📈 design a user-friendly interface for the app that allows users to easily upload a photo of a makeup look and receive recommendations. This involve creating screen for the makeup look upload process, the foundation recommendations, and any additional information about the recommended foundation.

Finding a dataset of makeup shades.Training a machine learning model: to train a model that can predict the color and shade of a foundation given an input. extract features from the images that capture the color and texture of the skin.

What's next for ChromaMatch
Intermittent voice commands Users could select products or shades using voice commands. For example, they could say "Select this shade" or "Add to cart."
