Inspiration
We were inspired by the daily struggle of decision fatigue — that mental exhaustion after countless choices. From picking clothes to dinner options, we wanted to make life simpler and smarter.
What it does
Decisionator is an AR lens that helps users make effortless choices. It learns your preferences and suggests options instantly, reducing mental load and saving energy for what truly matters.
How we built it
At its core is image analysis: the AI detects two user-pointed objects and confidently selects one, with no uncertainty. Gemini processes each frame for object detection, returning bounding boxes, labels, and the selected object. A depth cache positions everything in 3D for spatial consistency.
Decision-making runs through a layered reasoning pipeline which automatically improves itself, evaluates gesture intent, context, and object relationships — understanding not just what’s visible, but what the user means. We achieved it by feeding AI with all available data: Personal (name, location, zodiac sign...) Contextual (time of the day, weather, temperature...) And historical (continuously improving reasoning based on the previous searches...)
And SupaCloud was the perfect tool for us to manage and organize all of this data in a scalable way between sessions.
Challenges we ran into -Yes
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully created an interactive AR tool that genuinely eases decision fatigue. Our prototype helps users make faster, more satisfying choices with minimal effort.
What we learned
We discovered how deeply decision fatigue impacts daily life and productivity. Building Decisionator taught us the importance of cognitive design — technology that complements, not overwhelms, the mind.
What's next for Decisionator
-Live assistant/companion widget. -Mark multiple objects for comparison -Allow users to adjust their profile and define goals. -Shared profile for group decisions.
