Inspiration
Having sat through many lectures and late nights of homework, many of us know the difficulty of staying awake in lectures. As such, we were inspired to make a game of our experience, albeit with some hyperbole. This game was created to highlight the lack of sleep in Singapore and allow people of all ages to bond over shared experiences of sleeping in class.
What it does
Interrupted-Rest is a 2D windows local cooperative game where players revitalize students and impart the spirit of lifelong learning through staying awake in lectures.
You and your friend will play as teachers whose students are falling asleep in a lecture theatre and you must help wake up your students to ensure they are able to absorb the lecture content.
How we built it
We used Unity as our game engine, C# for scripts, and constructed our own sprites and animations.
Challenges we ran into
Most of us had no experience using Unity and C#, so it was a good learning experience learning the docs.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Making our own sprites, getting familiar with the unity interface, and producing a game which we can run.
