Problem Overview

Over the past few decades, various tradecraft and skills have been steadily declining due to various factors: (i) emergence of new technology; (ii) rising costs; and more. Many of which hold deep cultural significance in our nation’s history. These expertise are primarily held by the older generations, and without channels for sharing, they risk disappearing entirely. At the same time, seniors often struggle to keep pace with rapidly evolving technologies, despite many being willing to learn. Without an accessible way for these skills to be shared and exchanged, both parties stand to lose out. Seniors may face growing digital walls while youths stand to become more disconnected from our nation’s roots.

Our Solution

GenBridgeSG bridges this gap by providing a platform that facilitates intergenerational skill sharing. Users list what they can teach and what they want to learn. They would then be able to swipe through complementary individuals that've been curated by our matching algorithm. With AI, GenBridgeSG has the ability to simplify user instructions and provide translations, providing a more streamlined user experience by providing an easy way for different generations to pass on their knowledge, we are able to not only empower both generations but also preserve our cultural identity.
