Inspiration
Drawing from Indiana Jones "Temple of Doom" and "Raiders of The Lost Ark", this ancient treasury turned Templar tomb is the perfect setting to host our Goblin's greed.
What it does
It's an obstacle course. Many of the obstacles are animated and require good timing and dexterity. Players attempt to post the fastest time and can trade their coins for a speed bonus.
How I built it
I used Blender to create assets and the trimsheets used for the materials. Constant testing and trial/error.
Challenges I ran into
As a beginner to Typescript I found it challenging to use some of the examples provided by Meta. I test frequently and so not being able to test simply on mobile and having to rely on the desktop emulator was cumbersome.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Creating my assets and staying reasonably organized throughout the process. Not being afraid to revise and improvise.
What I learned
I learned how to integrate TS with my existing knowledge of Codeblocks and began an understanding of how TS is used with the NavAgents.
What's next for Goblin's Run
Introduce a shop with some consumables and cosmetics and refine some of the TS/Player UI
