Legacy Connect

Inspiration

Singapore is ageing rapidly, and by 2030, 1 in 4 Singaporeans will be seniors. Many retirees lose their sense of identity after leaving the workforce, even though they still hold decades of wisdom. At the same time, youths struggle to find trustworthy mentors who can guide them in career and life decisions. Legacy Connect was inspired by one idea: What if AI could restore purpose to seniors while giving younger generations access to real-world wisdom?

What it does

Converts a senior’s life experience into a polished professional mentor profile Extracts skills, strengths, and soft traits using semantic AI embeddings Matches mentees and mentors using a UCB1 bandit algorithm for fair, adaptive recommendations Operates on a multi-agent system: 1 Orchestrator + 20 Specialist Agents Ensures safe interactions through scam, harassment, and identity-risk detection Generates session summaries, legacy timelines, and progress insights It helps seniors feel valued again, and helps mentees make better decisions guided by real-life experience.

How we built it

Frontend with Next.js + TailwindCSS Backend with Supabase + PostgreSQL AI pipeline powered by OpenAI Agentic Framework 20 specialised agents handling profile building, matching, filtering, summarisation, risk detection, and more 1 Orchestrator Agent manages context flow and delegates tasks Semantic embeddings to compute meaning-based similarity UCB1 ranking algorithm to balance exploration vs. exploitation
