Inspiration
the inspiration was really me as my mom and dad keep complaining that i leave the light and fan on so i thought as an engineer their must be an overly complicated way to reduce their electricity bill rather than me fixing my own issue
What it does
It connects to the breaker board of the house there by connecting to all the components and then reading data like temp power voltage current and others to then use our inhouse built ML model to predict ho efficient the component is working & how much it will cost you in the Longterm
How we built it
we use an esp32 microcontroller to control the triacs to get data from the loads to the sensor and send it parallelly to the app then which our AI model will access the components and decide
Challenges we ran into
pcb design
Accomplishments that we're proud of
our model has a very low loss of 0.006 which is impressive for a model of 10,000 samples
What we learned
pcb design
What's next for Power Smart
building the app and furnishing it
