Inspiration

What inspired me was the experience of being a real estate agent because it allowed me to connect with different owners and tenants to help them find the place they were looking for. It's really exciting to see people's happiness when they rent an apartment or house, but there are also drawbacks such as delays, location, and the fact that landlords and tenants don't meet the necessary requirements to be the target audience. So, I thought about creating a web platform with advanced search and filter options so that landlords and tenants can match and connect according to their requirements.

What it does

RentAsap is a web platform that streamlines the rental process through smart ratings, advanced filters, and tailored matching. It helps landlords reach their ideal audience while enabling tenants to quickly find a property that truly fits their needs.

How we built it

We designed a system centered around user experience, integrating verification features, intelligent filters, and a matching algorithm. The goal was to simplify the rental process and eliminate common frustrations for both owners and tenants. Potential tenants will have access to personalized search options or the match feature to find their apartment, with both options allowing them to easily filter, discard, and choose with comfort. Tenants will also be able to increase their level of reliability by participating in the ‘Proof of Wealthy’. Proof of Wealthy is a verification process based on government-issued documents that demonstrate a person’s good civil behavior and commitment to paying their debts. With the Proof of Wealthy, property owners will be able to select their future tenants according to the level of reliability they present.

Challenges we ran into

We encountered challenges such as ensuring accurate matches, building trust through transparent information, and designing a smooth experience for users with very different needs and expectations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We entered Peru’s fast-growing digital real estate market—valued at over $1.1 billion—and built a platform capable of delivering fast, transparent, and efficient rental connections.

What we learned

We learned the importance of trust, the need for clear communication between users, and the technical complexity behind creating a reliable search and filtering system that feels intuitive.

What's next for RentAsap

We plan to expand our revenue streams through premium memberships with enhanced visibility, corporate plans for construction companies and real estate firms, and partnerships for advertising external services such as moving, cleaning, and maintenance. At RentAsap, we are building a new way to connect.
