Inspiration
I’ve always wanted to build a realistic, skill-based shooter game where every match feels intense and free-for-all battles put players reflexes and strategy to the test.
What it does
The Grit puts players into fast, skill-based free-for-all battles where you fight, earn kills, upgrade your weapons, and compete to be the best.
How we built it
I started small, testing movement, weapon feel, and map flow until it felt right. From there, I focused on tuning fights, weapon upgrades, and balance through trial and error, tweaking details until the gameplay felt intense but fair.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenges were balancing weapon feel, map flow, and keeping free-for-all fights fair but intense. It took many hours of testing and tweaking to get everything feeling right.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I’m proud of how The Grit turned out. The gameplay feels intense, every fight is exciting, and players can see their skill grow as they play.
What we learned
I learned a lot about balancing gameplay, fine-tuning weapons, and creating maps that feel engaging. I also learned how small changes can completely change the player experience.
What's next for The Grit
I plan to add more maps, weapon upgrades, and a map voting system and lots more. I also want to host tournaments so players can test their skill and build a community around the game.
