  A less innovative graphic-less graphical representation of my first idea which shows an inclusion of a mini calendar in Devpost

Inspiration

The thing that motivated me at first was getting a shot at meeting the Devpost CEO and team and probably brainstorming my questions onto them about this magnificent platform helping millions of people like me(P.S:I'd probably be too introverted to talk when and if I meet them though), but it really felt like an amazing opportunity to meet the team running this organisation and hear some of their thoughts.

Inspiration for Calendar

The main inspiration for the calendar to be included is that my friend who introduced me to Devpost and hackathons was once doing multiple hackathons and he was too immersed in one of them that he almost didn’t workout on the other submitting a low quality project due to less time, that made me think that Devpost should obviously have a calendar to make people know the upcoming hackathons in every page so that people working on a project can quickly check their schedule without closing project and going to other projects to check time left which can sometimes lead to distractions and straying from the main goal.

Inspiration for Tag

The inspiration for the idea of requesting a Ideathon tag came from my own requirement and some of the people I met as most of them were unable to find proper idea pitch hackathons as low/no code hackathons also mean hardware design competitions etc.

Inspiration for Feature

The third idea inspiration was also born from a self requirement as if I assume a hypothetical condition of winning a low/no code competition for example in the area of textile sustainability, instead of only suggesting low/no code hackathons, the algorithm can even suggest beginner friendly textile sustainability based app design competitions which can help an individual(or me in the example) to develop their skills for that hackathon if they have a passion regarding that idea or topic on which the hackathon is being conducted.

What it does/Ideas submitted

So I have three ideas for Devpost to be included here:

Idea one:The Calendar

First is a Devpost hackathon calendar which adds all the hackathon deadlines to the calendar on Devpost website such that when the curser is browsed on that, it can show how many days to deadline and basic hackathon info below that like a dropbox and goes into hackathon page when clicked on the hackathon in calender, this is very useful for people participating in multiple hackathons as it reduces time of going into each and every hackathon page to see deadline days remaining.

Idea two:The Tag

To include an ideathon checkbox for easy navigation of ideathons that emphasis on zero code projects, as more and more ideathons are being introduced to Devpost everyday this feels like a must have option.

Idea three:The feature

A win probable algorithm(Didn't know how to name it other than that) that can take key words from a participant winning projects and show them hackathons which are emphasising on that keyword like "Block chain" for example which can make a candidate opt for their strong point hackathons more easily.So, incase a person participated in low/no code competition and won by submitting a block chain idea, instead of showing more low/no code hackathons it would recommend the user hackathons which emphasis on block chain development.

How we built it

I didn’t build anything to be honest, I just gave the ideas which can be developed if the Devpost team finds them to be useful.

Coming up with three ideas when I thought even having one would be difficult at one point of time and using Davinci resolve for the first time

What we learned

Giving feedback and ideas!!!! also apart from that I learned to use Figma in a basic manner and also how to do video editing in Davinci resolve.

What's next for The perception

"The perception" entire future will be depending on the amazing team of Devpost!!!
