Inspiration

We were inspired by the rewards program for different apps, and by Uber's own CO2 estimate display, to create the Impact Dashboard. Additionally, we are inspired to solve the problem of the gap of users not being able to find Uber's more eco-friendly options.

What it does

Our idea was to create a dashboard where users could clearly see their ride summaries, their carbon emissions, and their rewards/badges for saving CO2.

How we built it

We built our prototype using Figma and assets from the Uber app itself.

Challenges we ran into

Some of the challenges we ran into were time constraints and workload. We overcame these challenges through splitting the work up and dividing tasks into more manageable sections. We also learned how to use Figma for the first time, and learning the ropes took practice.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud of our Figma prototype and how it can be used to show multiple different functionalities. We also take pride in our design and layout, which we made to match Uber's UI as closely as possible.

What we learned

We learned about how to limit projects' scopes and also how to manage heavier workloads with complex tasks. We will use what we learned for our next projects, and we will spend more time at the start outlining the project's process/timeline.

What's next for Uber Impact Dashboard

Our ideas were a bit restricted due to time, but if we were to expand on our prototype, we would love to add more detailed monetary incentives and would look into more creative ways to do that.
