Alright, time for an update!!

Image

Sorry it's been forever since I've written. A lot has been going on and life has been just slightly crazy!!
So, back on March 23rd Rylan Todd DeWitt was welcomed into the world! He's such a wonderful baby and Russ is beside himself having a boy! Ansley adores her baby brother and wants to include him in everything she does, she also loves to shower him with hugs and kisses which of course is adorable!
Russ was home for 2 weeks in March and we were both so happy he was able to be there to watch his son being born. Now we are on the countdown to him being home for good (however long "good" is in the army...) He should be home in roughly 2 months which is fantastic!! This deployment has gone quickly and I'm overjoyed that it's almost over!
No other big news in our lives. Just living day to day and waiting for the family to be complete.
Here are some pictures of our lives the last couple months..

Once again Russ has yelled at me to update :)

So, Russ told me it was time to update so here I am. :) I am tired, lazy and 9 months pregnant so I'm making it quick! Ansley turned 3 on February 18th. We had a great time together spending the day going to Chuck E Cheese and then the Pet store to pick out a fish. Ansley is now the proud Mommy of Fred, a magenta colored Betta that she just loves and talks to all the time. :)
In other news I am 38 weeks pregnant as of today (that's 38 out of 40 for those that don't know, meaning I'm EXTREMELY pregnant...hahaha) Only 9 days and Rylan will come into the world and I can't wait!!
Russ should be on his way home anytime now. I'm just waiting patiently for him to call and let me know where he is and when he'll be home! I can't wait to put my arms around him and for Ansley to see him, she is absolutely going to flip when she sees him!! Unfortunately he'll only be here for 2 weeks but we're so excited that he'll get to see his son born!
I promise I will write a longer update with more pictures later, probably after Ry is born. For now I think I'll go lay down and try to sleep. :)
Love you all!!

Finally! Pictures from Alaska!!

Well, here they are at last!! Some random pics of Ansley from Alaska. :) I'm too tired to write a caption to each one but I think they are pretty self explanatory. I will post more pictures later but I thought I'd get these up for now. :)

Ride 'em cowgirl!! (Alaska style...lol!)

While at the PX yesterday we saw a photographer taking pictures with a HUGE stuffed moose. I mean, this thing was over 6 feet tall just to his back! Ansley had to climb a ladder to get on him and she was not afraid at all!! I think this picture is hilarious!! She is SO afraid of Santa but give her a dead, stuffed moose and she's as happy as a clam...hahahahahahaahaha! Image

puzzle girl!

I forgot to add in the last blog that Ansley is a total wiz at puzzles!!! Here is a pic of her doing a 70 piece back home. Last night she amazed her Aunt Lori by putting together another 70 piece puzzle all by herself and without looking at the box!! She is a smart cookie!! :) We are working on 100 piece ones now but they are a little tougher, she still gets parts of it though!! Image

Update from Alaska!!!

Hey everyone, just a quick update from Alaska! We are having a blast and have been super busy seeing family and getting ready for Christmas. Ansley just adores the snow and has been dragging my Dad out every chance she gets! Here are a few pictures of the snow princess...

And of course I had to throw in a gorgeous sunset! This was taken from my Moms kitchen window! Image
Other than that everything is well. Baby boy is growing and moving like crazy. Ansley is really starting to grasp that her little brother is in Mommy's tummy. :) Russ has been moved to a base with hardly any basic needs. (no PX, no dining hall meaning nothing to eat but MRE's and not being able to buy even the most basic of toiletries. So, if anyone feels like helping my Soldier I know we would all appreciate it. I'd be happy to give his address, just let me know.

I hope everyone is having a good December! I'll will update again later.
Love you all!

Our new son has a name!

After a lot of talks and a lot of names being thrown around we are about 98% sure we have named our son! :) drum roll please.......................................
Rylan Todd!
We both like names that are a little different and non traditional. Todd is Russ' middle name and so Rylan will have his Daddy's initials. :) We hope everyone likes it!
