If you are reading this it is due to one of three reasons:
1.) You are a loyal follower and knew I would one day update.
2.) You are using the "I need to catch up on blogs" procrastination ploy.
3.) You just stumbled upon this blog.
I know. It has been a long time. Lets see.... I'll try to catch you up, where was I? Oh yes, was back in December posting about changes. Ha! Lets see, We sold our house in an amazing three months.
We had a grand time celebrating. Becky and Chuck were at our house... It was Chuck that mentioned our home was for sale when he was calling South Bend for tuna. Call for Tuna, sell a house, thanks Chuck!
We packed all our things up, stuffed it in a 30 foot truck (thanks to all the help loading and cleaning.) Right as we went down the driveway the buyers truck was coming in! Bev, Chuck and Bec helped us unload on the other end in our lovely rental. What an adventure. The oil burning heat decided to die (brrrrrr), so we spent the next few days in a hotel. The kids got settled into school here, and all did well! This house has been interesting. It was cold all winter and we kept bundled in the house and huddled around heaters. The kids know how to stop a toilet from running and fix the breakers. There are three floors, the creepy basement for laundry and storage, the main floor with its tiny kitchen, large family room, bathroom and 2 bedrooms, and upstairs with another bathroom and two more rooms. There are lots of door and hidden "rooms" in which the kids have found all sorts of interesting things. You can use the microwave (providing the bathroom light is off) for 30 sec. the first time, and 20 thereafter. Vacuum, but only after making sure certain lights are turned off....
Which leads us to our house hunt.... Here is how it went:
Ry: "Oooooh, lets get the house with the pool room and pool table."
Rheanna: "Oh, no! the one with the princess room!"
Cade: "The house with the pool outside is perfect."
Brian: "That 2 room shack with the 40'x60' shop." (eyes glazed over)
Ei: sigh "There isn't a single one with a bigger than closet sized kitchen."
We finally decided building again was our best bet.... here is the house so far:
As for the summer! We are having fun... We went Shad fishing on the columbia, we go swimming in the the river and bike lots. We are planning a trip to Whites Pass end of this week, and the kids will volunteer at the humane society. Caden is signed up for soccer, and Rhea wanted to take a Spanish class...
Until next post,
Soon we'll have internet and i'll be back to posting all our exciting adventures!
