Kingsley's 3rd birthday

Image
For Kingsley's 3rd birthday I didn't want to do a huge party every year so we decided to keep it low key. He loves to go to boondocks, so we invited the cousins & went Friday night. He got to go on the race car with Jeremy & play all the games. The mini bowling was their favorite.

The next day we had a little get together at my moms house. The kids all played on the bounce house and we had a little BBQ.
Kingsley loved all of his presents!

Kingsley was very excited for this play dough my mom made for him! (All the boys had fun playing with it!)

Kingsley really wanted some cake pops for his birthday from a book we had. Unfortunately Prezley & I attempted but failed to make them look decent! ha King still enjoyed it.

Love this picture of Jeremy & my sweet boy!

Kingsley just adores his cousins. It's so fun to have all these boys so close in age!

Kingsley at 3 is such a happy kid. He gets excited about every new thing, and is so easy going & sweet. He loves to snuggle and we just adore having him in our family!

Kingsley turns 3!

I was bored one day and figured I better get some pictures of Kingsley before his 3rd birthday. So I grabbed Prezley and we went to an open field nearby. The boys were excited to run around and the pictures turned out pretty cute. Love these boys of mine!

I

Puerto Rico

Jeremy & I decided to go on a babymoon to Puerto Rico before Monroe was born. My parents were nice enough to watch my boys. This was the view from our hotel.

Such a pretty place, a mix of Mexico and Hawaii if I were to describe it.ImageImage

One of the first days we went to the Camuy Caves about two hours from our hotel. They were really pretty, but I don't know that we thought it was worth the whole day.

It was cool to see all the plant life that had grown on the inside of the cave

That night we ate dinner in the town old Old San Juan. I can't remember the name of the restaurant, but it was the original creator of the Pina Colada which is one of my favorite drinks! We pretty much got one wherever we went. The food in Puerto Rico is very bland, a lot of banana rice. It's very expensive but not very tasty. The best meal we had actually ended up being from the italian restaurant at our hotel.

I was a little nervous to go hiking at the El Yunque National Rainforest because I am not a really good hiker. I get clumsy and can trip a lot. Add being pregnant & it could have been a disaster. Luckily it ended up being easier than I expected, and was such an entertaining day.

It was a gorgeous hike that reminded Jeremy & I of the movie Jurassic park.

It was about a 20 minute hike down along the water to a 20 foot waterfall.
At the bottom there was a ton of tourists and the people watching was our favorite part!

Lots of local kids swimming and jumping off the rocks.

The town of Old San Juan is so cute & charming. I loved all the tiny streets & colorful buildings. It was so fun to walk thru all the cobblestone streets.

Such a cool spot for these houses by the ocean.

One of our favorite parts of Old San Juan was El Morro Fort. The Fort and its surroundings had such a cool ambiance about it.

Just a little church in town.

We really wanted to go across to the other side of the island to one of the best beaches. Unfortunately the Ferry took two hours and the small boats wouldn't take me due to my "condition" of being pregnant.. ha  So we ended up going on a snorkel catamaran to another island, and it didn't disappoint.
Image
It had beautiful white sand and aqua water.

First we just layed out on this pretty beach.

Then we went to another location to snorkel. Jeremy lasted a lot longer than I did. Once I have seen the same couple of fish I get bored. We ate lunch and I drank lots of yummy pineapple juice. Most everyone else got very drunk, and it got entertaining listening to the ridiculous things they would say!

Our favorite activity of the trip was seeing the bioluminescent bay. It really is amazing. Late at night we kayaked thru a tunnel of mangrove trees which was so fun & cool. You could hardly see anything but the kayak in front to you and the glittering water. It was really cool to paddle around the bay and swish the water to see the algae light up and glow.

It was so fun to have a nice break from the boys and explore a new place.
