It has been a nightmare -these past two days. Mumbai, our financial capital, the city of dreams was burning. I dont want to elucidate on the details as its too painful and bad to even think about leave aside writing it out. Terrorists slammed Mumbai with coordinated attacks at various posh locations of the Metropolis. The Taj Mahal Hotel that stands tall near the Gateway of India is burning with the grenades that these terrorists blasted in its premises. The heritage site is now teeming with NSG commandos and god knows how many dead bodies of the guests and the hotel staff. Nariman house, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and so many other areas are now reeking with the stench of blood. The scene at the CST looked like that of a slaughterhouse.
This has been one of the most apalling failures of the Intelligence agencies of India. I mean the terrorists were here through the Sea more than a week ago, and carried with them all their supplies of guns and ammunition and not a single intel-person knew. This intellingence lapse has been one of the most punishing of the several that have occured.
Top professionals, businessmen, Top police officers and god knows how many common man died in this cyclone of this blood-lust. Chief of the ATS, Mr. Hemant Karkare died during the Operation Cyclone as it has been termed .Death, i guess simply has now lost its meaning. All the politicians , the so called future-makers of our country who always are demeaning each other in some way or the other, where the hel are they in this moment of crisis? I guess they are holed up in their huge mansions afraid to go out. Afraid that they might be killed and then their family would be given the compensation that these people go on freely announcing for the victims’ families, without even a touch of sympathy at all.
The son of the best friend of my uncle died in this carnage. Will the compensation that his family receives fill up the gap that has been created in their lives? He was going to be married on the 6th of December. Will the compensation that these politicians give take up the place of the groom? No na, then just stop all your charades ministers and show some genuine respect.
All this apart, what the hell is the government doing? The government may have been found wanting in discharging its duty to protect our citizens, but it has got hot under the collar about a TV channel broadcasting an interview with a terrorist something that many would regard as its legitimate reporting duty. I mean, what the hell! They should concentrate on the events and their possible origins. The puppet of a PM that we have announces that “Stern action will be taken…” Ha. I have been listening to this crap from the day he became the Premier. Its time to do something Mr. Singh.
Its time for whole of the country to be together and pray for all those lives that were lost to this madness. But more importantly its the time to retaliate. How long can we sit quietly, how long can we stand and stare while those bastards tear our nation apart right in front of our eyes? How long? Times already up. But then government wont budge, Why?
I am really confused.What’s happening?
