Everest Forms now integrates with CleanTalk, a powerful anti-spam solution that helps protect your WordPress forms from spam submissions, bot attacks, and other threats.

Prerequisite:
- Active installation of the Everest Forms plugin.
- Access Key from the CleanTalk (free registration available).

Setting Up CleanTalk Integration Using Everest Forms #

Follow these simple steps to use CleanTalk’s anti-spam services directly within Everest Forms:

Step 1: Access CleanTalk Settings #

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard, navigate to Everest Forms > Settings, and click on the Integrations tab.
  2. Locate and click the CleanTalk setting.

3. The CleanTalk configuration panel will appear, where you need to enter the Access Key for CleanTalk.

Step 2: Add Your Access Key for CleanTalk #

If you don’t have a CleanTalk access key yet:

  1. Click the “account dashboard link”
  2. Register to create a free CleanTalk account.

3. Once registered, your dashboard will display your access key.
4. Copy the access key.

If you already have an account:

  1. Log in to your CleanTalk dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the “Access keys” section.
  3. Copy your existing access key.

4. Return to your Everest Forms settings.
5. Paste the access key in the “Access Key” field.
6. Click “Save Settings” to store your configuration.

The integration is now active on your website.

Step 2: Enable Cleantalk for Individual Form

Now, open the desired form to add CleanTalk protection.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Anti-Spam and Security. You’ll see the CleanTalk tab, which you can toggle to enable.

2. Now, choose the Protection type for the form:

  • Mark as Spam: This option accepts the submission but flags it as spam in your entries, allowing you to review it later.
  • Reject Submission: This option will completely reject spam submissions, showing an error message to the user.

After configuring your desired anti-spam settings, be sure to click the SAVE button in the top-right corner to apply your changes.

If the spammers try to submit the form on your website, they’ll get a similar error as shown in the image below:

If you encounter errors in your form settings, as shown in the image below:

Click on Add Key to verify the access key.
