I could put myself into one of those boxes. Or many others besides. But I choose not to. That's because I have many and varied interests and like doing different things.
I'm more interested in verbs than nouns. That is to say I think that what we're actually doing at any given time is more important than the box we choose to draw around it.I also believe that the values that drive our actions are fundamentally important, which is why I'm fond of this saying:
"Don't explain your philosophy. Embody it." (Epictetus)
Anyway, if you're visiting this page, it's presumably because you want to know more about me. Thanks for showing an interest!
You may be interested in the the website of my co-op, or perhaps my doctoral thesis on digital literacies. You can see recent work I've done around here, but I've done so much prior work on Open Badges that you're just going to have to Google for that.
I have, however, curated a list of presentations and podcasts, a collection of side projects I've got on the go, and (just for good measure) here's a link to my occasional blog about different types of ambiguity.
All this may make you wonder how to work with me. In that case you might be interested in my squiggly career in CV format.
In general, I'm trying to make the world a better place than I found it. If you're doing something similar get in touch!
