It may not have been in another Galaxy “Far Far Away and Long Long Ago” but it was long ago on this planet when I became a Physician or a Doctor of Medicine.

Yes, there are lots of “Doctors” but only those of Medicine are Physicians, listeners and healers.

At that time Dermatology which included venereal diseases because Syphilis in its secondary stage when it became diagnostic presented with a skin rash, was considered the best specialty since there were no emergencies thus no night calls and only one known fatal disease, Lupus Erythematosus.

We have since learned that it is an “Auto Immune disorder in which the body’s immune system becomes over reactive and attacks the body itself. There are other Auto immune disorders such as Acute Thyroiditis but they can be treated with specific medication.

I believe that the Kawasaki Syndrome which is attacking young children weeks after recovering from Covid-19 is not part of the virus attack but an auto immune reaction from an excessive response to the virus and should be treated as s,

On another topic; isn’t ironic that Cuomo after blasting Trump for not responding as a nation to this contagion is doing that by opening up several regions of the state while maintaining lockdowns elsewhere.  Nor did he respond to the first cases that appeared in Westchester,

How about the Mayor of New York City’s complete 180 degree on school closures and not advocating other preventive measures?

Once again politics has overridden common scenes the contagion will not be under control until at least 80% of the population is tested and all positives isolated for a quarantine period. Public Health is more important than allowing Civil Rights that endanger everyone.

 A Plainfield born and raised and now retired living where he had years ago settled in NJ, Michael Rosin who is an authority on the Constitution regarding the Electors was also an Amicus to a brief presented to SCOTUS on Wednesday hearing of cases involving the Electors right to vote as they wish, only bound by their  own State laws. He has commented:

"We all agree that the Constitution grants states the power to determine how electors are appointed. The issue presented today is whether the Constitution allows the states to bind an elector with legal consequences for voting contrary to a required, well stated expectation.

"The Constitution grants Congress the power to determine the time for elector appointment and the day on which the give their votes. This year those dates are Nov. 3 and Dec. 14. Congress also has incidental powers to specify how electors transmit their votes to the President of the Senate. Beyond that there is very little Congress can do. (There was not much discussion of any of this today.)"

It has been a while since I I have blogged . That of course is resulting from the Covid-19 rampant virus and the  Lockdown.

We have been in a precautionary status since the first case was reported in New York and now in accordance with the recommended but not mandated home lockdown.

It will take testing of more then 80% of the population Including rapid follow up of contacts as well as strict adherence to protective measures such as social distancing and wearing masks to know that we have this epidemic under control.

Not only has Germany has been able to keep its factories and business open but South Korea has kept its economy stable as well as controlling the perceptual number of cases.

Trump’s and Pence’s openly disregarding such precautions has set a poor example for all. Now that Two close staff members have become infected the three medical related members of his staff have gone into voluntary quarantine  

The only change in White House procedures has been to up testing staff from weekly to daily! But according to the Times Trump has been “growing irrational with people close to him”

Much of our data has been distorted since only known positives have been reported, many deaths at home  went undiagnosed or reported as "Covid probable" thus not included. Nor where many of the private nursing homes deaths or those of the VA. The latter would look bad and our government can't stand that.
