45. Hung out with my friends and my daddy, gor (brother) and sis-in-law in Singapore for a week~ Special thanks to YY and family and catties for four days over her house and Yan Han for one good chat despite on weekdays where she needs to work.
46. Universal Studios Singapore (USS) for one whole day with YY~ Had tremendous fun, swung high to drench wet!
47. Enjoyed her day by shopping in Kinokuniya @ Liang Court, ate famous Black Pig Shabu Shabu Ramen @ Tampopo (thanks to recommendation by Yan Han half a year ago), found her way to Gor’s office after taking a detour.
48. Spent a good evening with sis-in-law and gor @ the daily scoop with durian flavoured ice-cream, and a nice cooked maggi mee (Cintan mee) by gor, and good night sleep.
Best week spent ever!
P/S: To promote Singapore Tourism, I shall post a new blog about my week in Singapore soon.
Hello my friends, the reason for my MIA (mentioned in previous post) is that I attended my brother’s wedding few days ago. Now it’s the sharing time.
First of all, I was one of my brother’s bestmen, woke up at 2.45am to prepare.
New ME~
And~..TADA! New ME~ Without braces, woohoo!! ^^
Coming back to the wedding day, so we drove from Masai, Johor to Yishun, Singapore at 4am to pick up my future sister-in-law back for wedding ceremony.
At around 7am, we made it back to brother’s house, tea is served to the elders. Before my parents’ turn, the elders had decided to postpone till night’s dinner. And so, together with the professional photographer, I followed brother and sister-in-law to take some shooting with some nice scenic background before returning the wedding attire. Thus, from bestman, I evolved into a maid (as called by my brother, lols) On the way to find the best place, I felt anxious about my brother as he was having headache that time, and my sis-in-law definitely looked like as if there’s battery indication, it would be beeping in red. However, after a packet of kopi-o (coffee without cream) and some icing effect, he felt better. Thank goodness for that. Besides that, I helped to carry the flower bouquet and the wedding gown. Best experience ever!! (Because I don’t have a sister so won’t have the chance to experience to be a bridesmaid.)
Also, I had an AWESOME day with my brother, hanging out with him like this is my first time (well, perhaps second time..) ever, telling jokes, going to a salon. Best day of my life! Back hotel at around 1pm, and I collapsed into a deep sleep till 4pm. Woke up but hang out at sister-in-law’s room to chat while she was doing her makeup. When it is about time, I went back to my room and started to prepare for the night’s wedding. Set my own hair, did my own makeup and feel quite proud of myself. BIG credits to bubzbeauty as I learnt the hairstyle from her. I even make a video for her to comment on my hair. I shall upload it soon.
The dinner ended up well, and I shall let the pictures do the talking.
Well, I just found out that during my MIA (online) days, it’s KevJumba’s BIG (turn 21 years old) day! (Though to me 22nd is BIGGER, nothing in particular, just that it’s not in my culture where 21st birthday is significant, freedom and stuffs and all. So, I might as well set it for my 22nd and my favourite number) I felt bad I didn’t know that!! (Well, it’s not fair if I wished Ryan Higa but not wishing Kevin, so…)
KevJumba!! Happy belated 21st birthday to YOU~ (and yeah, you no longer have to fake ID anymore, you could use your own face)
And it shocked me that when I tried to search for “bday kevjumba”, there are a lot of related videos came out. But I mean that’s a good thing of course! Just..surprised, that’s all. Anyway, Kevin, you are…
As shown for the title you guys made, NICE GUY! (ignoring the S, it turned out to be a repetune as my niece kept playing this song over and over again right after you guys released it. Until I could hum the tune without realizing it.)
Keep it up! Will always support you guys. And do come to Malaysia soon~ ISA Concert for instance. *smile encouragingly*
I actually told my friends that, “Hey, we should start a fan base in Malaysia”, so that KevJumba, Ryan Higa, Poreotics and other cool Asian American regardless of dance crews or youtubers or singers could notice our existence. Poreotics went to Philippines, Ryan and Kev went to Australia. But ALL these places are sooo near to MALAYSIA. So near..yet so far..Anyway, my point is, I’m planning to start a fan base here, my blog, cause lots of my friends are their fans. So, please subscribe or suggest how should I do this to make it a success.
Well then, back to dance crew, they have been famous for quite some time, they are Asian Americans like KevJumba and Ryan Higa too~ In fact, I got to know their existence through Ryan Higa and KevJumba’s video.
And..tada~ love them! coolest dance crew ever, Poreotics is actually combination (or compound) of popping, choreographing and robotics. They are the ABDC (America’s Best Dance Crew) season 5’s winner! Just check out this video and you’ll know that they deserve it BEST!
Charles line in one of their dances was said by judge JC Chase too. That’s just cool!
Also, if you’re familiar with or love Bruno Mars’ songs, The Lazy Song’s music video was actually performed by them! Though I’m still guessing which one is Dumbo (playful and some shyness sometimes), he didn’t reply me on twitter =(
MORE! They performed in Justin Bieber’s tour concert as well!
Coming up is their latest performance in ABDC Season 6 using Rebecca Black’s Friday (song that I hate but for the sake of Poreotix), I could compliment as awesome (mind you, just for the dance choreo).
End of the story, I do wish they (Ryan Higa, KevJumba, Poreotics, D-trix, etc) notice us Malaysian fans (likers to be precise) for the first step before they come to Malaysia to perform. I represent most of your likers to hope that ISA concert will be held in Malaysia. Malaysia is a multiracial country and we have loads of food varieties here too.
Oh, and today is Ryan Higa’s 21st birthday! Though it’s only an hour left (Malaysian time) but HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN HIGA~ hope you’ll continue to excel in your video production. Support you always! =)
Hi everyone~ It’s been a while since I posted anything under this category. But here it is~ I’m sure that some of you might have noticed that in my first post regarding this topic, I did a countdown for my debond (aka removal of braces). Well, it’s inaccurate cause I’ve mistaken the appointment time and actually late for half an hour. Thus, missed the BIG chance! Not that I felt disappointment at that time because I wasn’t prepared. Talking of unprepared, today…TODAY
I FINALLY DID THE DEBOND~ *sing**dance*
And..it was totally done when I wasn’t even planning to, I was just asking my dentist’s opinion on whether I should still wear my braces until I’ve removed my wisdom teeth, the moment I finished saying “don’t take off”…
“tak tak” was the sound I heard, Doc started to cut my brackets (power chains which keep my teeth intact during the movement of my teeth). I was like, “What?! What just happened?” to myself, then asked Doc, “I don’t want to remove my braces?” Doc said, “I thought you came to debond? You came last time what..” I said, “but..but..I have to attend my brother’s wedding?! Sue~~ (Doc’s assistant whom became a friend of mine)” And…that’s it!! Done, with twice of purple-coloured-ice-cream-like-but-looks-more-like-those-playdough that we played in our childhood with mint flavour (called something sound like Arjunic) pasted on each my upper and bottom row of my teeth to make retainer. Will post the pic of it as soon as possible (but given that I’d stated before that I’m not a picture sharing person, perhaps it might be a bit slow)
39. Sang for 3 hours in Neway Karaoke a.l.o.n.e. and it wasn’t enough time still. The plain joy of having to sing a.l.l. my favourite songs~
40. Worked out a bit with determination wearing the retainer for the first time~ Wierd, but acceptable~
Woohoo~ Dream High is confirmed to have a sequel!!! Well hopefully the main casts of the drama still remains. But definitely confident in multi-talented JYP director, Mr. Park Jin Young and Bae Young Joon. ^^V
Though this was quite some time ago but yes, after finished my study (which I have been constantly reminding myself not to watch Korean dramas, and succeeded *clap for myself**smile*), yesterday, I officially finished Dream High including its Special Concert as well. I wanted to share once I finished, but too bad I didn’t feel well, even I forced myself to share, but I just can’t!! But anyway, here it is!
For those of you who may not know what is this, this is a Korean drama which features dreams of six young teenagers in becoming star in a fantasy world. The main leads are Miss A’s Suzy as Go Hye Mi, 2PM TaeCyeon as Jin Guk/ Hyun Shi Hyuk, T-ara Eun Jung as Yoon Baek Hee, Kim So Hyun as Song Sam Dong, IU as Kim Pil Suk and 2PM Woo Young as Jason.
Dream High cast
Miss A's Suzy as Go Hye Mi
2PM Tae Cyeon as Jin Guk/ Hyun Shi Hyuk
T-ara's Han Eun Jung as Yoon Baek Hee
Kim So Hyun as Song Sam Dong
IU as Kim Pil Suk (before)
IU as Kim Pil Suk (after)
2PM Woo Young as Jason
They are all from different backgrounds, all have different strengths. I know, I know, dramas, especially Korean ones, are really time consuming, each episode has like an hour plus, on average 16 episodes. Wow, right? BUT! I guarantee you, this is seriously a drama worth the time.
As you see from the title, you know it’s about dream right? Well, for those who don’t get it, tada! Yeah, it’s about DREAM. Friendship, love, success, failure, pain, devastation, determination, courage, fun, music, dance, comedy, you name it, and it’s ALL-in-ONE drama. Also, for those of you who are fans of Bae Young Jun, JYP, Kim Hyun Joon, 2PM’s Nick Hyun and Chan Seong. They all appear in this drama too, though some of them only has one scene.
For those of you who are still finding your dreams, contemplating about your dreams, afraid of fulfilling your dreams, I strongly recommend you to watch this drama. Not to ask you to follow blindly, but to watch, learn, and reflect on your own. After I watched this drama, it suddenly stands in my all time favourite drama ranking. It has been Sassy Girl Chun Hyang for all this while. Well, congrats to you Dream High. I wish I could say more but there’s all for me to say, the rest, you have got to watch it yourself, experience it yourself to be in their shoes. I almost forgot to talk about one of the important character who plays the role of a teacher for the kids, Kang seon saeng nim (Teacher Kang), he didn’t realize that his own ability at the very beginning, like the kids, he learns as he moves along with the teenagers. Below are some sneak peeks:
Watch and share with me your thoughts! I welcome any discussions~
