So I decided these pictures deserved their own post because I actually got out my camera for them instead of using my phone. I took them on our way out the door for a Halloween party at Lilly's school, and they sort of make me want to start using my real camera more often. Also, they are the only pictures I got of Henry being an amazing little Mario. :)

SOLD
A couple weeks ago we put our house up for sale. One day later we were under contract. A month from now we'll be moving out.
This home has served us well for the past 5 years, and it feels bittersweet to be moving on and saying goodbye.

October: The one with Oma and Opa
Another month gone and another month closer to leaving Austin behind. Our house is sold, so I guess we're comitted now. We are really sad to go, but even more excited for our new adventures in D.C.!
Drew is busy busy finishing up his dissertation, and I've been working 3 shifts a week. Lilly continues to love Kindergarten and thinks soccer is the best thing ever. Henry is, well, Henry. He's all about poop & fart jokes right now, has the best dance moves and keeps us all laughing and smiling with his lovable antics.
Lilly's drawing/art skills have grown tremendously in Kindergarten!
The weather has finally cooled down in Austin, and we spent a perfect Sunday morning at the zoo a couple weeks ago.
We saw a lot of cute and interesting animals, but this Lion was definitely the silliest.
The kids LOVED feeding the animals. Even Lilly who used to be too afraid!
We stopped by Juice Land on the way home, just to make sure we'd really done ALL the Austin things.
Have I mentioned these two have nightly sleepovers in Lilly's room? I love them.
Henry and I had a Mommy/Son day at the children's museum and it was fantastic.
Before we knew it, Halloween was upon us, so we got the festivities started with some pumpkin painting.
And some other random fun. . .
We finished off the month with double excitement:
a visit from Oma and Opa (+Terry&cousins) and Halloween!

Lilly dressed up as Little Red Riding Hood for her school storybook parade.
Henry and I went to Fall Fest in Round Rock as a pirate and cat. :)
Then we did ALL the pumpkin things.
The kids each designed a pumpkin face for Drew and I to carve.
We baked pumpkin cookies.
We burned pumpkin candles.
We made pumpkin dinner.
And then we got our plastic pumpkin buckets out and went candy hunting!
They had planned to be Mario and a Princess, but they both made other plans at the last minute . . .
Henry insisted on his fish costume from last year, and Lilly made up a magician costume.
They were both adorable trick or treaters.
Drew had a lot of fun making his garbage can monster.
On to November!
