October 30th Birthdays

On October 30th, Ashley and Mark celebrated their birthdays.  We all went to Downtown Fullerton and wanted to go do some karaoke, but unfortunately, that didn't work out when we realized they were closed.  Instead we went to a restaurant.  Here are some pix from the night.

Bradley's blessing

On Halloween morning, David's best friend and his wife blessed their baby, Bradley.  It went really well.  He is such a good baby and didn't cry almost the whole time.  In fact, the only time he did cry was when they were changing him (but ya can't blame him for that).  David and I were so honored to be invited to such a special event.  We can't wait to see Bradley grow up.  He is a VERY loved little boy!

The Apple Orchards :)

David and I went to the apple orchards in late October to get into the "fall" feeling. It was a lot of fun. We drove up and went and checked out all of the little shops. While we were there we went to one shop that had caramel apples. Of course, we HAD to get one. It was AWESOME! We also bought come kennel corn, some chocolate, and a few other things. After we went to all of the shops, we headed over to see all of the apple trees. They had a place where you could pick apples, so we did. It was fun.

Halloween :)

David has an annual Halloween costume contest at work.  He has won the last 2 years in a row (2008 and 2009), so he really wanted to find another great costume, but he also wanted to be comfy.  Here is what we came up with...

On Halloween night, David and I stayed home and passed out candy to all the little kiddos.  It was a lot of fun, and we had a TON of trick-or-treaters.

We were crazy and got full-sized candy bars to pass out.  We were trying to lure in lots of kids.  :)

At work, we were able to dress up as "storybook characters" for Halloween.  I think this is an attempt to keep Halloween PG at school.  It works decently.  Linda Vista is my ABSOLUTE favorite school, and it is because of the staff.  They are so great.  It's like they're one big family, which makes things like this WAY fun.  Here are some pics of the day. :)

Best Friend Camping Weekend!!!

The besties, David, and I went camping at the San Mateo campground, in San Onofre. At first I was a little worried because when I got the reservations, I kinda thought it was gonna be a "hole in the wall" kinda place. I had heard from a bunch of people that it was not that great, but we decided to try it anyway since San Clemente was full. I was plesantly surprised. It was VERY nice. We originally went to another one in San Onofre (I think that's the one everyone was saying was bad), and they told us we were at the wrong site, so we had to drive about a mile the other way, and finally made it. It was so fun!!!! We all pitched our tents (each set of couples) and "roughed it!" It was so much fun to just hang out by the campfire, and chat about everything. We made breakfast and dinner, had lots of snacks, went on a hike, and just really enjoyed eachother's company and the fresh air. We are already thinking of what we can do next :)
