Christmas 2008

Before I tell you all about Christmas I should let you all know we made our decision and are moving to Oregon the beginning of next week. We are both very excited.

This year for Christmas we were at David’s parent’s house. David and his brother Darren were in charge of putting up the Christmas lights. I told them I couldn’t help, I’m pregnant (hahaha) I didn’t want to get on the ladder or roof and fall off. Instead I stayed on the ground and David’s mom and I told the boys when the icicles were tangled and needed to be fixed, they didn’t like us too much. But here are some pictures of them putting up the lights.

All of us had to make cookies for Christmas. I decided to make sugar cookies. David’s little sister Kaylin helped me decorate them. It was a lot of work, we made a lot of cookies. Sugar cookies

On Christmas Eve, David’s sister and her family came over. Her daughter wanted to play hide a go seek. She hid in a bag; I thought it was so cute I had to take a picture. Ashlee

Now on to Christmas day. David’s family got a Wii (and apparently mine did too). We played it for a long time, until one in the morning. Let’s just say my arms are tired. It was a lot of fun!!!

Here are some pictures of the tree and stockings. In David’s stocking he had a Barbie. He was not very excited. When he was younger he would play with Janelle’s Ken doll. And then a couple weeks ago David and I were shopping and we went down the Barbie isle and David picked up a Ken doll and said he wanted it (he was joking of course). I told his mom that and she had to get it for him. He complained about it the rest of the day. Christmas Tree

David got me dress shoes. There is a funny story that goes with them though. Ever since David and I got married I have been able to guess what he the gifts are that he is giving me, one time I didn’t know until I saw the shape of the gift. This includes anniversary, Christmas, and Birthday. This year I guessed he was getting me shoes. I wasn’t too sure it was just the only thing I could think of. Then one Sunday his mom and I were wearing the same shoes so David asked if we wore they were also the same size. He told his mom what size shoe I wear and that they are wide. That confirmed it for me, I knew he got me shoes. How else would he know what size shoe I wore and that they were wide, unless he had been looking? So then when he rapped the present he put it in a big reindeer box with 2 pillows and a 25lb bag of sugar. When I saw it rapped he asked if I still thought it was shoes. I told him that I did, he just rapped it is a big box and put food storage in it. When I opened it It saw that I was right about everything including the food storage. I even guessed the website he got the shoes from. I can never guess the other gifts, only the ones from David.Reindeer Box

The rest of the pictures are gifts we received. I gave David the statue and some clothes. David’s parents gave us the wheat grinder. And I got the baby things. New Dad

What to do?

David and I have loved our stay here in Arizona, but now comes the hard part. We have to decide if we want to stay here or move to Oregon. It is a very hard decision and we have no idea what to do.

On the positive side, everything is going well with the pregnancy. I am getting much bigger. I am now in my third trimester. The baby is moving all the time. David has felt him kick. David laid on my belly and the baby kicked his head. He is playing with his daddy already. We are very excited and a little nervous for our baby to be here in 3 months. 26.5 weeks

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. We were here in Arizona with David’s family. All of his siblings and even his Grandparents were here. The siblings haven’t been together for a holiday in several years.

I love this time of year. Even though the weather is in the 70’s it still feels like Christmas. I don’t miss the snow. We aren’t sure where we will be for the Holiday this year, it depends on were we move to. I hope we can figure it out soon.
