Woodlands Soccer Tournament

Russ and Jon’s family came with us for Drew’s soccer game. They played an amazing team who took state last year and lost 5-0. It was a beautiful sunny day and we enjoyed being together and supporting Drew. We ate at a pizza buffet for lunch. We went to Jon’s new home for dinner and let the kids play. They played a game where they closed their eyes and made a chain by holding onto each other’s shoulders while they walk through the house. If you let go you’re out.

Drew’s soccer team won its game today. Jon came with us and it was fun to visit with him. I ran five miles with Russ and Lauren to train for he half marathon we are running in March. We traveled the 2.5 hours home. We took Devin shopping for new Sunday clothes. He got a new black suit and looks so handsome. We played a new game in the evening, Forbidden Island, while I made Oven Pasta for fast Sunday dinner tomorrow evening.
Alma 48 Moroni is so faithful that Satan has no power over him. As we follow Christ, Satan doesn’t have power over us, only that which we give him through our choices.

Dallin Dating Juliana

Relaxing day with the kids still out of school, although David started back to work. It was a cold, rainy day so we stayed inside and had a fire. I read and baked muffins with Danica out of her new Harry Potter cookbook. I was supposed to sprinkle with sugar before baking, but I accidentally sprinkled with salt! I caught my mistake and scraped it off before I put them in the oven. Made a yummy dinner of fish, rolls, mashed potatoes and broccoli. Danica and I went to lunch at Panda Express to celebrate finishing the Book of Mormon by the end of the year. Colored my hair. Tried to exercise at the clubhouse in the morning but Drew couldn’t find our key to the amenity center. Talked with Dallin for a while about dating and marriage. He’s dating a girl named Juliana who lives in Oregon.

Drew has a three day varsity soccer tournament in The Woodlands. We drove to Katy to stay with Russ and watch the games. Devin, Matthew and Will played and played with the new laser tag guns that we brought.

That's a BUNCH of Eggs...Nathan Visits

Dave and I worked on the bed that we’re building for our room. We got the posts attached to the headboard and footboard. We slept in this morning and went to the Brunner’s waffle party for breakfast. We have Nathan here from Fort Worth. He rode the bus down yesterday to spend time with Drew. Those boys have had a good time together. I made tasty burritos for dinner. For breakfast I made 25 eggs and 7 slices of bacon just for them. Impressively, they were able to eat most of it. They worked out and played soccer with friends. We’ve watched football today and played Cover Your Assets this evening with Devin. Dallin worked at Arby’s this evening. Danica read books most of the day.
