6 months stats

We went to the doctor last week for Cooper's 6 month check up. This is the low down:

Height: 28 1/2" (97%)
Weight: 18 lbs 10 1/2 oz. (75%)
Head: 44" (53%)

Cooper is sick...AGAIN! Seriously, this kid has been sick since day 10 of his life. I pulled him out of MDO and have hired a nanny to watch him on the days I work, so maybe this will help. Bless his heart. I just hate it for him and wish I was the sick one and not him. But he is a trooper and never fusses really about being sick so much.

and to continue the tradition...

Polar Express

Hi...It's Parker...I just had to tell everyone about our FUN trip we just took. Last weekend the whole family packed up and headed to Palestine to hop on the Polar Express and take a ride to the North Pole to see Santa. Nonni and Hampaw decided that since we had such a large group, that we needed to have our very own car to ride in. It was soooo cool! Not only did we have our very own private chef that made us hot chocolate and all sorts of sweets, but we also got to run around, dance and sing to Christmas music, and read the story about the Polar Express. Oh, and we saw deer in the fields as we made our way to the North Pole...I am really into deer right now...AND on top of that Santa himself came into our car and gave us all bells (which I used as a weapon later that night to hit Abbie and Cooper with). It was a GREAT night! I loved it!!

All Aboard!! (daddy's face is funny) This is me...with all the big kids...Abbie, Anna Claire and Brianna (mommy's cousin's little girl)

Cooper and Mommy were really sick, but they were troopers (something about not wanting me to miss this) so they stuck it out. But Cooper (since he is so little) fell asleep at the end of the train ride.

Turkeys

We spent Thanksgiving at my moms house with a whole mess of people. One of the highlights from this year is we started a new tradition...A Talent Show. All the kids (and Aunt Erin, Me) did a talent...Well, Cooper and Samantha didn't do anything this year, but next year maybe. Abbie was a hula hooper. Anna Claire sang a few songs, Parker did a flip, and I hula hooped with my neck (don't be jealous).

Cooper...5 and 6 months

Halloween post below this...

Cooper turned 5 months...and then I blinked and he turned 6 months over Thanksgiving...funny how that works?

It's all a blur to me. We have been sick 7 out of the last 8 weeks at the White House, with Cooper and mommy bearing the brunt of the attack.

Cooper started real food around 5 1/2 months. He loves it. His favs are sweet potatoes, carrots, and pears. He will eat peas, but who likes peas? I tend to not give my children anything I wont eat myself :)

As of last night, we are still not sleeping through the night. He goes down around 7 and will wake up around 3:30 or 4. I even decided to do a "phantom feed" last night at 10 to see if that might help, but nada. Sooo, any suggestions out there? and yes, I have tried to let him cry it out...but the little guy is hungry. When I do go get him he chows down for a good 20 minutes and then is fast asleep until 6:30 or 7 (except this morning when he was bright eyed at 4 a.m., but we will not talk about that).

@ 6 months C is sitting up by himself, putting everything in his mouth, babbling up a storm, laughing at anything Parker does, riding in a shopping cart, and is still the sweetest little snuggle bear ever. Have I mentioned that I could eat him like every day?

We go to the doctor tomorrow for our 6 month check up...yea :(

food!!!

see...I bet you want to eat him right about now too...told you...hehehehe
Image

Is it really that bad??
Image

really??
Image

and yes...This picture just sort of sums it all up...CHAOS!
Do I feel bad that I did not take the 5 minutes it would have taken to put on the white onesie and then slap the sticker on it INSTEAD of my childs bare stomach? Nope...cause in that 5 minutes I saved by slapping it on his bare chest I got to go pee by myself, make dinner, give both kids baths, and do a load of laundry :)

Halloween 2010

yes, I know I am drastically behind...so here it is in a nut shell...

Halloween...Parker was Woody...Cooper a monkey. We went to a few houses...Cooper could care less...Parker got the hang of it after house #1 and was hooked from there...he likes candy.

Fresh Air

We are finally, after 3 weeks, feeling better at the White House. Cooper has started sweet potatoes and has also decided he wants to sleep through the night again. Parker is in the thick of his terrible 2's but he is so much fun and full of energy. Andy and I laugh 1,000 times a day at his shenanigans. Cooper has discovered Bella and thinks she is a funny puppy and every now and then you can catch of glimpse of him looking at Parker with complete adoration. All is well with the White Family...

The boys and I headed to the cabin for a few days. Parker LOVED it. He got to ride around in the golf cart, play on the play ground, and even go out with Hampaw for a little deer and coyote spotting.

Parker Andrew

Parker turned 2 this past week. Where does time go? I can still remember like yesterday holding him for the first time, his first tooth, his first time to crawl, his first birthday...man, where the heck does time go? At 2, Parker is FULL of life. He can throw a fit like none other, but he also can give a hug and a mouth kiss that will melt your heart. He loves Bella...loves chasing her, telling her "no", petting her, and exploring with her in the back yard. He is still a picky eater, so pretty much anything I can get him to eat is good. Some days, if it is a few M&M's, then so be it. Better than nothin'. We are hit or miss on naps, but I refuse to give up just yet. He loves to make us laugh, he loves to watch movies (favorites are: UP, Wall*E, Stoy Tory (toy story)), he loves to "water plants", and he loves out side. He has just begun to notice Cooper and sort of interact with him and he thinks it is hilarious when Cooper "talks" to us in the car. Parker likes to pretend get hurt and then I ask, "are you ok", he replies "I fine mom". He can repeat any word we tell him and he is speaking in complete sentences a lot of the time. I told him a month ago that Jack moved to Austin and today he said, "mom, Jack...in Austin?". Amazing!! someone call MENSA please ;)

stats: 31 lbs (80%) 36" (90%)

Parker, you are my big brave boy. I love your BIG personality and your spunk. You are full of life and energy. You NEVER stop going!! I am so proud of you and what you accomplish and learn every single day. You are so special to our family. Happy 2nd Birthday Bug!!

before the nastiest stomach bug struck the White House.

and this would be the aftermath of the stomach bug that struck in the middle of the night for sweet Parker.

I knew the day would come where we experienced our first stomach bug, and man oh man, we will never forget this bug. Parker got it overnight on Wednesday. Poor baby threw up in his bed and did not even call out for me. He just laid in it all night. (break my heart). He felt a lot better on Thursday, but then had a slight relaps on Friday and Saturday. On Friday afternoon, Andy got it. On Friday night, I got it. And on Saturday, Cooper got it. It was misery at its best. We had to cancel P's birthday party on Saturday :(. We had so many family members in town for the bday party and for C's baptism on Sunday. Luckily, we were all feeling much better (and much lighter...I lost 8 lbs) on Sunday so we went ahead with the baby dunking. It was perfect and Cooper slept through the whole thing. My little angel.
