Cooper 10 months

As always...we are late posting this. C turned 10 months at the end of March and if you ask me (and you did, right?) 10 months is waaaaay tooooo close to 1 year!! I mean, what the freak?!! 1 year!! Where on earth has time gone? 10 months means that I have to start planning his 1st bday party. Invites have to go out in a month (because all nice Southern girls know that invites need to go out 1 month prior to your event), and then the party will be here before we know it! Ahhhh...

ok, now that I am done freaking out...

Cooper, at 10 months, is still the most edible baby ever. I will litterally be devestated when the day comes where he will not let me constantly gnaw and nibble on his cheeks. And those lips...oh, those lips! Ladies, these are lips that will get this child in trouble one day, mark my word! He is crawling and the booger is fast. Pulling up on everything and even transfering from one stationary object to another. He puts everything in his mouth. Coooper adores Parker and, while P still inflicts hourly pain and suffering on the little guy, it is all forgotten when they start to laugh with each other. We are still doing 2 naps a day, but the 1st nap can sometimes be skipped if we need to G-O. We still just have 2 teeth, but I see the whites of the top 2 about to make their introduction. And...the best news of it all...at 10 months I gave up the dream feed and Cooper did great. He now sleeps from 6:30 to 5:30 or 6 a.m. I have to admit, since I do not have to stay up for the 10:00 feeding anymore, I have been turning into a pumkin around 9:30...heaven! :)

It's becomming more and more difficult to take this little guys pictures or maybe he just does not like a large sticker stuck to his chest :)

A boy and his boots

Parker is very into his boots these days. For that matter, he is really into clothes. However, not like mommy would hope. He is very opinionated on what he will and will not wear. His #1 choice of clothing is his Indian shirt. The first one we had was beginning to get a tad too small, but by the grace of the clothing gods, I found another one (different color) at another store. We now have 2 indian shirts that we wear at least once a week, if not more. His 2nd choice of clothing options would be his PJ's. His last option would be actual clothes, but that has to be his choice. I try to bribe him to put on all the cute "outfits" (that's for you Mel), but every day it is the same...we end up going back to his room so he can pick out his clothes. Thank goodness he has some sort of fashion sense. Shoes are a whole 'nother story. There are these boots...not cowboy boots, but his HUnter rain boots, that he LOVES! He has figured out how to put them on by himself so these are the shoes he wears every day...with whatever (see below)

Now, this last picture needs an explanation. Last week, Parker decided that he wanted to start using the big potty. So I guess we are beginning to potty train, but we are not there yet. He still refuses to us the big potty, he will only use his little potty. He won't wear big boy undies...he prefers camando. And he still pees all over my floor and me when he "forgets" to go. So we are doing it slowly, but I will not force the issue. Every day I see more and more progress and he is even waking up dry in the morning. But this picture cracks me up. We spend most of our time outdoors with no clothes on these days, but the boots are a must!
