How is it possible???

Does it even seem possible that a whole year has gone by and I haven't posted here? It's not for lack of want to, but time is such a precious commodity these days and blogging about how busy and crazy we are seems a little bit nuts in and of itself. I won't post long today, but I will say that I have a little catching up to do tomorrow (hopefully??). I have a baby boy today and tomorrow he will be a toddler. Brings tears to my eyes that my baby boy is growing up so fast and that we will never have a baby in the house again and that the next year will be so full of changes for him that I will barely remember what he was like when he turned two. I am trying to cherish every tiny morsel of this amazing boy, but with two bigger ones to keep up with it is no small task! He is precious, thoughtful, sensitive, LOUD, and FULL of LIFE. I thank God every minute for blessing us with such a "joy baby"!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Since we didn't get to wear our Easter clothes on Easter Sunday, we saved them for Mother's Day. It was a fantastic day! I am so blessed that God entrusted me with these three precious kids and this absolutely AMAZING husband!

Landon is ONE!!!!

Landon Pierce...if words could only express how much we love you, how much joy you bring to all four of us, how many times I think--wow! God knew what He was doing by giving you to me. You are an amazing little boy, full of love, full of laughter, and so full of life. We all adore you and none of us can wait to get you up in the morning or get back to you when we are away from you. You love peek-a-boo and will play yourself if none of us are paying enough attention to play with you. Your favorite thing in the whole world is balls and you play for hours by yourself with them saying "ball, ball, ball" the whole time. You love to play with all of your sister's kitchen dishes because they sound fabulous when banged together. If your brother and sister are awake and playing, you bull your way down the hall as fast as you can and bang on the door and yell for them. If Elly is asleep and you somehow get down the hall, you go to her room banging and yelling for her to get up and play. You still love to have other people in the room and if you are alone, you'll make your way through the house to find someone to just be in a room with--you don't necessarily want their full attention, you just don't want to be alone. As a third child, I relate so well to this and it brings a smile to my heart.

You have two teeth, but more on the way (you were the first of any of my kids to get teeth at 11 months--way to go!) You are still tiny, I'm guessing 26 inches long and maybe 17 lbs. We'll find out later this week. You wear 6-9 month tops and 3-6 month pants. You wear 9 month pjs and a size 3 diaper. You love any and all food and you love, love, love milk (a boy after my own heart!) It took absolutely nothing to wean you or to take away the bottle at night. I love how easy going you have become!!!

At your party, you didn't love your cake until it was broken apart for you. You were stuffed, so I'm not sure there was much room for it. Poor Logan was sick (we found out later with Strep Throat) and had to watch the party out his bedroom window--we moved the party outside when he woke up sick on Saturday. He was so sad--he loves you so much and wanted to help so badly. I think he was looking forward to your party as much as I was...unfortunately I think it will go down as one of the worst parties he's been around.

Its Baseball Time in Texas!!!

Well, our baseball season is in full swing. I love watching this boy play some ball and love watching my Rangers as often as possible.

This is our first year playing coach pitch and its great. Logan was one of 12 kids his age to be picked to play coach pitch, so we were excited for that. It is definitely different from t-ball, but still so much fun! He obviously has one little admirer keeping her eye on him! It absolutely melts my heart to watch her cheer him on at whatever sport he's playing and to see how much she just absolutely adores her big brother!!!

Everyone was decked out for Opening Day on Friday for the Rangers, but I only got pictures of these two cuties! Jarrod and I were blessed to be able to go to opening day by ourselves while Annie held down the fort--not an easy task for one grandmother with these three busy kiddos. We are so grateful to her. Then on Saturday we had an awesome evening with some of our best friends at the second game of the season. Again, we had some pretty special people keeping our kiddos and staying at our house until after midnight. We can't say thank you enough!! I can't remember the last time Jarrod and I had two date nights in a row, but it was FANTASTIC!!! Considering how much we both love baseball, it was perfect--great company, great food, great games, and great weather!!!! I couldn't have asked for more!!!

Unfortunately, the end of the day looked like this:

Landon started throwing up as soon as the last buckle was buckled in his carseat. Elly followed about an hour later and they proceeded about 5 minutes apart for the rest of the night and most of the next morning. EEEEEWWWWWWW!!!! Yes, Elly fell asleep on a pallet on my bathroom floor. Poor babies couldn't even wear clothes because they were just getting them dirty as fast as we could get them on. After about an hour I had to move E to our bedroom floor--I couldn't stand the thought of her on that cold, hard floor. Thankfully by that time, she was asleep enough not to mind being moved.

Landon Holiday pictures

Since this was Landon's first holiday season, I thought that he deserved his own post. The pictures are in backwards order and I can't figure out how to get the underlining turned off....so here you go anyway!
