Reading Time

This is what it looks like in the evenings when the boyz read at night!!!  Nik reads his Harry Potter books to the guinea pigs and Jaxson reads his Magic Tree House books on the couch!!

I love that my boyz enjoy reading!!!

Makenzy is a Rock Star

Makenzy's little friend Madelyn had a Rock Star Party on March 31st and Kenzy got totally made up!!!  She was not too sure about getting makeup on, but she did it and was loving every minute of getting her hair done!  She left with a super rocked out hair do, fun makeup, a microphone, and a tutu!  Jax was quick to use the tutu and be crazy with it!

Campland On The Bay

At the end of Spring Break, we went camping at Campland On The Bay in Mission Bay, near San Diego!  We had heard sooo much about this campground, so we were super excited to go and try it out!

Here we are enjoying our first evening there.  We didn't realize how close the sites were to one another, so we were very happy to have friendly neighbors!!  The boyz brought their scooters, so they used them immediately to go and check out the campground! 

The first night, Coco was exhausted!!!  She was asleep before anybody!  Kenzy was nice enough to cover her up with her special blankie!!!

They had a play area for the kids called "Huff and Puff" park!  The kids had a blast here, while I took Coco over to "Dogwood" park so that she could chase her ball and play with other dogs!!

There was a little convenient store and arcade, so the kids picked out HUUUUUGE gum balls at the arcade, and later in the evening, we went and got some ice cream!

This tree was not only amazing to climb, but the branches were all over the place!  I had to get a photo of the kids on it!!!

The pool was heated and the kids had a ball!!  They liked the two jacuzzi's best, I think!

The last day that we were there, they had an Easter Egg Hunt!  The kids had so much fun finding eggs!  The little girl by Makenzy was one of our neighbors, her name was Sophia!

Coco was totally OUT the whole drive home!!!  We were able to see the San Diego Temple beautifully on the way home!!!  We had so much fun camping here, we even did a scavenger hunt one evening!  We needed more time to enjoy all of the activities that they have, so we look forward to going back longer next time!!!

La Brea Tar Pits

On April 3rd, during Spring Break, we went to the La Brea Tar Pits!  Jax and I both thought that there would be dinosaur fossils there, we were surprised to find out that this museum was NOT about dinosaurs!!!  They had whooly mammoths, siber tooth tigers, bison and other animal fossils!  The kids had fun walking around and seeing all of the things that were discovered here at the tar pits!

Here is Nana with Kenzy, Jax, Nik and I!  The tar hole by Makenzy's head would bubble up every now and then...we watched this for a long time!!!

The tar pits weren't exactly what I had envisioned, but it was a beautiful day out and we enjoyed visiting this museum!!!

My 35th Birthday!

My 35th Birthday was on March 30th!  It was an awesome day!  I had a wonderful lunch with my friend Kim Peterson, and then Eric had planned a super fun evening with friends and family!  He ordered my favorite sandwich place for dinner--Quizno's!!!!!  And he even planned some "Minute To Win It" games for all of our guests to compete in!  I didn't win a single game!!!!  But it was so much fun!  Pictures to come soon!!!

St Patrick's Day 2012

I totally spaced out and forgot to post St Patricks day at our house! The kids woke up to chocolate gold coins, a green toilet and golden coins all over the floor....those sneaky little leprachauns!

This year the kids wanted to make candy....so instead of making shaped candy, we just dipped pretzels in green chocolate!!! It was goooooood! They also decorated their green cookies!

Monster Jam Finals 2012

This year the Monster Jam Finals were on March 24th! We decided to invite our friends the Edgar's to join us for this fun filled weekend to Vegas! (well Henderson actually!!) We arrived Friday evening, so the next morning we all got up and ready to go down to the M&M factory!

We are making our way down to the Las Vegas Strip! Here are all of the kids! Makenzy, Matthew, Jax, Nik, Bella, EV, and Sophia!

Here are our cute little families!!! (Kenzy and Sophia go to preschool together!)

I love watching the dancing waters! It's cooler at night because of all of the lights, but daytime is still awesome to watch! The kids love watching too!

We went to the garden at the Bellagio Hotel......AMAZING! Beautiful flowers...and Tulips were all over, they are my favorite flower! After walking around a bit, we went to the Rainforest Cafe in the MGM Grand Hotel for lunch! That was an experience! Kenzy doesn't like the rain storms they have, but she was able to get thru lunch ok!!

Madusa is Kenzy's favorite! There is a girl driving this truck and it's hot pink!!!!!

Kenzy is waving her hands to catch a shirt from the cars that shoot 'em out into the crowd! Litte Bella Blue fell fast asleep even with all of the noise around her! Here is a picture of Mohawk Warrior.....he totally did a flip and landed on his top!!! AWESOME!

Sophia and Makenzy couldn't stay awake any longer! They both fell asleep in the middle of the "free style"!

This was a super fun trip.....we look forward to going again next year!!!
