Family Fire Night

Last weekend Eddie had Family Night at the Fire Academy! They did many demonstrations to show us all the amazing things they have learned! They came from one side of the school to the other in their fire trucks after a call was made. They put out house fires, car fires and propane fires, cut out roofs to ventilate, cut cars apart and had so much fun while they were doing it! It has been a LONG semester, although we are glad it is over Ed will really miss it! He has learned so much and truly loves this career he is working so hard for. We look forward to when doing what he loves becomes his full time job!
Great job Ed, I love you so much!

SaNtA!

I LoVe this time of year.
I love all the hustle of trying to get everthing done, the exitment and anticipation of each holiday and most of all getting to spend time together as a family! Eddie has been gone 95% of the time this past semester and it's been so fun having him home for a few days over Thanksgiving weekend! We had a relaxing Thanksgiving day at my moms. Yummy food and great company! After dinner the boys went shooting in the desert and the girls mostly sat around talking about Twilight wishing we could go see it again! (LoVeD iT!) Then on Friday we we took the kids to see Madagascar 2 and then headed to Chandler mall to see Santa and Build a Bear! Santa luckily didn't have many visitors! and who knew a bear could entertain a kid for days!!!
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!

Happy Halloween!

Blaine the RhInO, apparently this is how he thinks a Rhinoceros stands because I could not get a picture of him without the goofy pose!

Karsten the SkUnK, what a good big sister she is!

ImageWe went to the ward Trunk or Treat with Christy , Tayler as Tinkerbell and Paityn as Mini Mouse on Tuesday. I did not take pictures on Halloween but they looked the same! I took the easy way out this year and let them dress in costumes that we already had.... Eddie says I am not allowed to do that again! Spike and Becky came trick or treating with us and he said he was a little disappointed in the costumes this year too SO I guess it is back to sewing next Halloween! Hope everyone had a fun holiday!

10 Years.....

Image...more than we could have imagined.

This phrase kind of sums up our life together. Ten years ago today Eddie and I were married, we both agree that we have so much more joy, friendship, respect and LOVE in our lives now than we could have ever imagined on that day. Don't let me fool you...our story is not without struggle and contention BUT we have truly grown up together and are stronger for all we have gone through! I feel so blessed to be married to Ed, he knows me better than anyone else in this world and loves me all the more! He is a great friend and continually helps me to be a better mother, wife and person. He is the hardest worker I know and gives so much selflessly to our family. He is honest (sometimes brutally), determined, loyal, strong, HANDSOM and a great dad! I am looking forward to the next 10 years being married to this wonderful man!

Here are 10 pictures to celebrate our 10 years! (including the one at the top of the post.) Some are from before we got married...obviously! As I was looking for pictures I realized we need to take more pics of just the two of us.
Hope you get a good laugh!

Surprise Visit!

We got a call late Friday afternoon that Sonjia was coming to town.
Yeah!!!
Unfortunately it was because her Mom was having Emergency surgery. Thankfully her mom is doing well now. We were lucky to get to spend the afternoon with them, we did a little shopping, ate lunch at Olive Garden, did Sonjia's hair and let the kids play.

Karsten and Darianne

The Zoo times 2

Karsten has been on fall break for the past couple of weeks and since Eddie has not had any time off school we have been entertaining ourselves around here. We got a Zoo pass a while back and have put it to good use this break! I love that they never get tired of seeing the animals, they are already asking to go back. I thought Blaine was so tough the first day we went he did not want to sit in the stroller so he walked the whole Zoo.... he did the same thing the second day and never complained!
He IS ToUgH!
He wanted to keep right up with Karsten, I am so glad they like each other!(well most of the time!)

The first week we went with my friend Krista and her CuTe KiDs!

Five Monkeys!

Tayler, Karsten, Blaine, Paityn, Camryn
Image Since it's not much help to bring 3 kids with you when someone is moving... I helped Mallory watch Christy's kids while she moved on Saturday! It worked out great because I needed to be out of my hot house and these MoNkEy'S sure love to play!

No AiR cOnDiTiOnInG!

Well it has been 8 days now without air conditioning at our house!
They came again today to fix it and found one more part that needs to be replaced.....so no cold air until Thursday.....AHHHHH! It hasn't been to bad we debated staying with someone or at a hotel but neither of us sleep well when we are not in our own beds...SO...we bought a room air conditioner and moved Blaine's queen mattress and set up the port-a-crib in our bedroom!
GeTtO, I KnOw!
But it has kept us all cool to sleep and we just stay out of the house during the hot part of the day.

Labor Day Swim Party

Although I like to go swimming... I like cool weather even more!!
I am glad that FALL is right around the corner.
We had a pool party with my family on Labor Day. Christy and Todd are having a house built so we went and took a peek at their house and went for a swim at the community pool. My grandparents are awesome... I wish I had video of them playing keep away with the water ball...
I hope I have that much fun when I am that age.

Millyard Family Reunion

We had such a fun and memorable time at Eddie's family reunion. This is our third reunion up at Grandpa Millyard's land in Snowflake, it just gets funner every year! We all met at Mcdonalds in Payson on Saturday.... always a highlight of the trip for the kids. From there we headed to the Taylor Corn Festival. Grandpa gave all the kids tickets to play games, they loved the Velcro wall...well Karsten did anyway! We got some fresh picked corn and homemade salsa and made the last 20 minute drive to the "Ranch". The kids love being up there, playing with cousins, getting dirty, doing crafts, hiking and did I mention GeTTinG DiRtY!

Crafts and Games

ImageKarsten won the Sweet Tarts in Uncle Daenon's, guess how many candies are in the Jar, game. She guessed 80 and there were 76!
Image Aunt Jenn helped them make Ty Died shirts. They also made little medicine bags, necklaces and coin purses with Grandma and Grandpa.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for all your hard work and for such a fun time!
