I am happy to say that Ryan graduated with his master's degree on Friday May 4th 2012 from Washington State University in Speech and Hearing Sciences. What an accomplishment this has been!
We left Thursday night right after work and drove the three hour drive to Liberty Lake to spend the night with Ryan's cousin Erica and her husband Jared. We had a nice visit with them the morning of then got ourselves ready and headed to downtown Spokane for the graduation ceremony. The ceremony was very good and the talks that were given were extremely appropriate.
Alison was a good little baby throughout the first hour. She tried to sleep but everyone kept clapping during the talks and when awards were given. It was actually hilarious, when she did wake up she would get startled every single time everyone would clap (I took a video of it and will post it later). When it was time for Ryan to walk across the stage she started getting fussy. She was tired, hungry, and unbeknownst to me overflowing her diaper. As soon as Ryan sat down I left to go tend to her and was out for the rest of the time. Needless to say I listened and saw the most important part and I will say I am
so proud of everything Ryan has had to do and accomplish in order to obtain this degree!

We went to HuHot Mongolian Grill to celebrate.
On the way home we reminisced about our experience and talked about how our lives have changed since first meeting one another. We have hurdled over some pretty big jumps and are extremely happy with where we have landed thus far. We are fortunate and blessed to be living where we are today and to have the job that we do. We are excited for the next hurdles that will inevitably come our way but for the moment we are just basking in the joy that comes when you have completed something so big, so hard, so time consuming, and so important. Again, I am incredibly grateful for everything Ryan has done to receive this degree so that he can better serve and help our little family.
Thank you my love for everything you have done and continue to do. I couldn't be more proud of you!
