MCPP1
Monday, March 05, 2007 9:29 PM

i went for missions candidate preparatory programme (MCPP1) for the weekend in a nice, cozy recreational place in kluang... it was totally an unknown and unheard place to me before this... but it's only about 30 min drive from pj. we saw monkeys, kingfisher and camelions along the way of our journey. haha, urban kids do get excited with these sights at those instances...

Irena and i followed a friend, Franky from young adults cell and got to know many others. really had lots of fun with this group of people... still young and playful at heart!! we had kai-fan (chicken rice) for lunch at the mini little town of kluang. food tasted quite good though there were lingering smell of cow dunks or watever i dunno!!

L-R : me, sharon, audrey, abigail, franky

we were divided into groups for sharing and activities. that's my team pic above... we did a silent skit together(because missions is across culture), drew our impression of a missionary and the stuff he needed, figured out the 10/40 window, answer quizes and guess the foreign languages spoken.

The sessions really opened my eyes to missions in the 10/40 window and help me understand and sense the urgency to reach out to the UPG (unreached ppl group) which was what Jesus meant in the great commission. There were teachings from Ps ling, sharings from bro wan kuan on his mission trip to nepal, cambodia, thailand and from sis siew may who went onboard duolos, also, ruth and her sisters' experience on prayer walk.. etc

We had practical sessions on water baptism in the swimming pool (where we baptise each other, haha inofficially of course), holy communion, sharing the gospel and went for prayer walk at another town. The bible in Matthews ask us to Go and make disciples of all nations(which refers to every ethnic group) baptising them in the name of the Father, Son and of the Holy spirit. All authority on heaven and earth have been given to us and we are to be his witnesses in jerusalam, judea , samaria and to the ends of the earth. so we need not fear and He will be with us when we do His work.

I've been challenged to sign up and prepare for mission trip, either for orang asli or the youth mission team to cambodia... to really do something to bless the nations, not just caught up in my own comfort zone, being a consumer as it were without any contributions back to the people who needs them. it's indeed a privilledge to give as we have a mission field wherever we are, but God calls us to do it simultaneously, including those people of differrent culture, geographic location and background whenever we can. i've learnt a lot and gained my "passport" to join a short term mission trips and so will see when is God's timing.

THE MADEMOISELLE

EIMA J.LEE

LOVES reading calvin and hobbes comic strips as it is simply entertaining and reflective of the naughty child i perhaps would be... JESUS made a difference in how i live my life...Travelling to take in sights and sound on this earth, Food to feed on and enjoy the fellowship... Music to sing my heart out and praise God, Dance for exercise, coordination and balance, Sports to destress and sweat to get rid of toxic in our body, Fury friends to hug and cuddle...Friends to hang out with, encourage and support

DISLIKE lizards and the reptile family... sorry no offence
