Bring it back now y'all

Oh hey blogging world...how you been the last 2 and 1/2 years?
Good?
Good.
Me too.
You missed me?
I missed you too.
Here we go again then?
Sweet.

So I've decided to blog again...but it's not what you think!
Not because I'm getting married (can't wait!) or because I have to for school (then I DEFinitely wouldn't do it) or because the best friend wants me to (love you Linds (did y'all hear we're gonna be sister-in-laws soon?) & thanks for the encouragement) or because it's the super cool thing to do (I feel obligated to put something in parenthesis here) and it's definitely not because I'm looking for one more source of social media in my life (bleh.) . . .
No my friends I'm back to the blog just because I want to.

One time a wise and always put together stylish woman (my opposite...I know, it's cool) taught me how she doesn't get dressed and adorable looking for the people at the grocery store or work or the neighbors or whoever...she get's dressed for HER. Because she likes to feel beautiful and treat herself great.  - - - That's how I'm feeling about blogging. No offense but I'm not really doing it for you...although I admit I like to think that once in a while I'll get you laughing or feeling inspired...but I'm blogging because I like to!

I've got thoughts. And I want to write them down, get them out there... (remember that they happened ;) and enjoy the feeling that comes from the way your thoughts and ideas transform and grow as you actually put them into words.

Reason #2 is that I am TERRIBLE (and I mean terrible like that middle section of the third spiderman movie...Tobey McGuire shouldn't ever dance....that's real bad) at any form of journaling. I never want to do it, well I meant I WANT to, but it just ain't happening. On the flip side for quite a while now I WANT to blog. The smart player will play to their strengths right? So here's my effort to get future generations laughing at what their crazy grandma used to do, and helping me not feel guilty every time i read those scriptures in the Book of Mormon about how keeping a record is important. Cause it is. So here I go.
Bringing my blogging back.
Brace yourselves, read at your own risk, consider yourself warned....I'm selfishly mostly in this for me...oops   #sorrynotsorry #don'tcarethatthishashtagdoesnothingIstilllikeit

And in case you were wondering what those future generations might look like (and because I think blogs should have pictures...) Just imagine more of these running around:

Aren't we cute? (I mean look at those blue eyes...reason #110982347128 why he's the best)

.....
Or if you also want a glimpse into some of the more realistic darker days....

I heart Septiembre

Listen to my dreamy Saturday in September (otherwise known as today)

I slept til I woke up, no need for an alarm. First time I've done that since July.
The weather is beautiful, as September often is.
Rode my bike over to the Logan Farmer's Market - an automatic make you feel good place. Yes I was thoroughly loving some new music on the ride, and no I feel no shame in singing along as I'm going down the street.

Picked up some local raw honey (yum!) and beautiful fresh veggies (seriously they even smell fresh).

The rest of the morning includes a nice little jog - yup same story with singing and the ipod.

This afternoon we have a game, GO AGGIES!!
I love soccer SO much p.s.
And spending pretty much 24/7 with these people:

After the game it's home to Murray to play with these gems

Wonderful Saturday? Yes.
Would I mind repeating days like today? Not a bit.
Today = dreamy :)

FYI

Just in case you were wondering . . .

THIS is one of my ALL-TIME favorite pieces of music

...EVER.

"First Impressions" - yoyo ma/appalachia waltz.
Ya it's literally been up towards the top of my list since the third grade, 10+ years and still goin strong.

Just in case you were wondering

Beach or Mountain top? . . . . Yes.

Do you ever wish you could be in two places at once?
(Ya all the time I wish I could be dozing off on the couch and enjoying a fresh cup of snow from Island Flavors - duh. ... if you've had Island Flavors you know what I'm talking about)

Seriously though. For instance I wish that I could always live in the calm contentment of glorious summer time full of fun adventures, lazy afternoons, late nights and the best people imaginable. But at the same time I can't help but be itching for something new, a different excitement, progression, and even some hustle and bustle.
Why can't I have both?
And what is with that phrase "you can't have your cake and eat it too"?
The way I see it I have my cake in front of me, so naturally i'm going to eat it too (preferably yellow cake with chocolate frosting fyi...that even beats funfetti for me...mmhmm just said that) Whoever made that phrase was not dreamin big I tell you what.

Lots of thoughts in this little head of mine...they haven't quite decided how to come out yet.
So til then...

My dad = cute grandpa
