went to watch IHCC for a short while because I was so worried bout this girl who sprained her ankle the day before but I'm so super duper proud of you my favourite cheerleader!!

12 Feb
nights out with my favouritest girl! headed to town wanting to eat sushi but the queue was such a burden T.T went to the HK cafe in cineleisure instead, just chilled over food and had a good talk :) didn't really have a v deep htht but I think it was kinda good enough? decided that we probably aren't bffs, what makes a bff anyway? but I'm thankful enough that she's been a constant for 11 years <3

finally had a 6.9 dinner! after so freaking long altho we do meet up and I've visited Mrs Gan a few times, but that dinner was really good! :) and finally saw some people I haven't seen in ages. my fiercest, most sarcastic teacher of all time, but still one of the teachers that I appreciate so freaking much <3 and she treated too! heh ;)

I: balled with D in the morning, explored a new court in the neighbourhood! obviously not used to the ring there but it's pretty fun to play on an elevated ground that's equivalent to the 5th floor? was kinda weird when I could see people looking out of their windows tho? LOL. went for drinks after balling then headed home! :)

II: went to meet my homos at Nex and shopped for BBQ stuff before heading over to Shimin's! it's so hilarious supermarket shopping in a freaking crowded NTUC with guys who don't know a shit in the supermarket. Shimin's house really so pretty after renovating omgg. had a nice albeit short htht with Alina, another girl that I really need to catch up with. we text rather often but they're rather substance-less conversations cause we're just so so so busy T.T stayed for a really short while only though I'm really sorry guys will join y'all soon, miss having fun w you guys too!

with the respective plus ones cause it's Valentines, hopefully more plus ones the next time we meet :P

III: rushed off to Chinwei's for gang's reunion steamboat. somehow dinner that day made me miss our angel so much. but it's always wonderful to busk in the company of my favourites! love you guys so much <3 who needs a Valentine when I have the best guys in my life hehe ;)

woke up late, went down town with the fam for reunion lunch! haven't sat down properly for a meal for a long time, but I'm really glad we did! no matter how much fun you have outside with friends, it's always essential to remember to come back and appreciate the people related to you by blood <3 headed back and balled with the guys in the evening as well :)

CNY EVE YAY. was so happy to get out of NTU on a Wednesday noon for the weekends heh super love it when I've long weekends! trained home with D with that dude complaining the whole way about how long it takes on the train opps? but it's really nice to have company home fr the west! journey's sooooooo freaaaaaking longggggg. went home for lunch then over to Sibin's to surprise her w the card we made, heh surprise success! :) it was rather funny that we spent the 1 hour over at her place trying to solve a p5 math question?! but really freaking impossible okay 10 minds put together can't solve that shit lol._.

正月初一。didn't do any visiting at all this year, but mummy was still like CNY JUST GO AND WEAR NEW CLOTHES LAH. so I picked the most expensive dress (except prom dress) I've ever owned hahaha it's new, never worn before. 

I apparently look v mature in this???

supper with them because it was Sibin's last night in SG before flying off for 10 months~

looking horribly unglam cause it was a snapchat photo, don't care just take only. after supper we spent some time at the fitness corner playing with a stray cat, bought it some bread but it only ate like 5 puny mouthfuls mehhh. but it was still fun fun fun with my loves <3

正月初二。airport in the evening cause my dear 1/3 girl in the gang was leaving for her dreams in Aussie! dinner at Astons with the rest before going to find her at the departure floor! 

after much debate about who's the most girly and who's the least, I think what matters the most is that we're ultimately all girls and that's what the guys are gonna treat us as :) (okay at least I think they will LOL)

SO FREAKING PROUD OF THE GUYS FOR THE ABOVE TWO PHOTOS?!?! 

came out of the toilet with the bff then saw the guys at the kids area with these papers and crayons? walked over ready to shoot them w some sarcasm but I literally jaw-dropped when I saw what they were doing. TOO UP THERE MAN. And we kinda made Sibin cry even harder HAHA opps. but mission accomplished! 

had supper at the usual place after this, and Eileen joined us! so happy to see that girl was really worried ever since she enlisted since we didn't really talk much because she's too tired to talk most of the times. but the night before her first book out she told me "I left 12%, I call my parents tell them about book out then I call you with the remaining battery.", really felt so happy to talk to her and hear how she's coping! Overly attached much HAHA. 

went to chill at the fitness corner after supper as usual (after sending Eileen to the bus stop) until 12+ then Junyi walked me home! had a reaaaally short htht but it made me think quite a little, sigh.

正月初三。拜年 with the gang! Darrel's > Weiquan's. HAHA and that's about it! was supposed to ball but we ended up being too darn lazy :P played Dance Central at Weiquan's till I was super tired, says much about my stamina sighsighsigh. oh and after that, Darrel Junyi and Zijie came over for mahjong heh altho never play money lah, but still happy :) played really big stakes with the fam after the guys left, idek we're playing such huge stakes until we ended. but okay ignorance is bliss, won $90 HAHAHA. daebak ;)

正月初四。balled with the guys in the evening then headed to send Weiting off at the airport! I'm seriously quite OA like I kinda really wanted her to myself at the airport, opps? but 怎么说 still got #roomielove so can't be blamed. thank goodness you didn't cry my dear, if not I cannot assure my calmness. oh and super grateful for Joohou for driving us to Lavender for the uber cab to pick us up. AND UBER IS SUPER COOL MAN GUYS I RECOMMEND. we had a free ride heh cause of some CNY promotion, but yeah it was a good experience!! :) cabbed back to hall with Huiyi Liqing and Wailum! and had a short htht with Alvin before sleeping, nice to catch up with people I haven't been seeing or talking to!

HELL WEEK SEVEN.

basically yup, came back fr the CNY break to mid-terms week T.T all core modules, consecutive days somemore. I was so freaking busy and stressed to the extent that 1. I clean forgot about OMC meeting wtf -.- (which reminds me that I haven't told Alvin about it? bound to get killed.) thank goodness Shereen was really nice about it, phew :) 2. I didn't even manage to watch Running Man until Friday night. basically it was Wed calculus Thu physical chem Fri biochem, so on Tue-Thu night I slept at 330am, 4am and 3am respectively. WHERE GOT ENOUGH SLEEP. #sleepdebtgaogao 

was on the car home ystd after papa picked me when Eileen called. initial plan was to go home, shower, have dinner and either crash/watch RM. but I decided to put aside those plans and meet her for coffee! after going home for dinner and shower ofc :) had a great catch up with her since she was having her long long weekend and I'm having recess week. updated her bout the bulk of what's going on in my life ever since she enlisted, and listened to her army stories and concerns and stuff. really can't help but feel super proud of that girl? :)

正月初十。went to the Thor's family to visit them since we haven't ever visited them since they shifted house? was kinda apprehensive about it initially? but it felt really nice to see them being so welcoming, and I hope our visit meant something more than just CNY visiting to them. missing you so much now angel, wasn't v close to you ever since I got attached and that's really one of my biggest regrets up till now. I hope you're doing well up there! <3 (I wonder how you are feeling though.)

Jiawei drove us home at bout 6pm? so thankful omg the travelling from Punggol was gonna be rather painful at peak hour. went to ball with D at 8pm! Weiquan and Terence came to join us for a bit before going for their run > to D's house to watch him eat his dinner at 945pm > supper with the guys at 10pm > chionged home to skype Sibin at 1115pm yup that sums it up :) 

oh and #throwback to Nat's 21st on 7 Feb!

“I cannot feel my legs” sounds like something I say so often after a long distance run too. Except that her willpower is probably loads stronger than mine. Feeling so uncomfy because I haven't worked out for more than a week already. Should probably go for a run soon. 

This video was shown to me bout two months ago and I suddenly remembered about it. Really sick and tired of school, feeling it so much more this sem because I'm spending every single weekend so far w such happiness :') but I know I have so much to be thankful for, so much to appreciate instead of lamenting my days away. Sometimes it makes me thankful that I have forms of reminder like these. Chin up Mel, and move forward strong. 

Some things happened in school this week. I've been trying to keep my faith strong. Even if the negative things don't directly happen to me, just seeing things being screwed up already dampens my faith. Told Weiquan yesterday that I always find myself missing them so damn much by latest Wednesday T.T maybe I need to reduce my dependence on them to make me happy? I mean yes, my frontrow clique makes my days so much more bearable but I guess I'm really just so weary and I honestly wish I'm not forever tired. Humanity, please stay strong.

Surprised the best friend on her birthday on Friday w the gang. Thanks guys for responding to my call and helping me surprise her. She totally expected my appearance but she didn't expect you guys there so I'm thankful that I got you guys along :)) thanks to Darrel (gonna just refer to him as D fr now on too burdensome to keep typing his name since I spend so much time w him) for coming w me to get her cake and print the photos for her card after your late bookout on Friday too! And also for swapping your guard duty w your bunk mate for the weekends' activities :)

Quite glad that I went over to her place, but still it's like I've been spoiling this girl so much and it's not even her 21st yet LOL do you realize how fortunate you are?!?!

Went for Nat's 21st birthday party at Hang Out Cafe in AMK on Saturday afternoon! The food was greaaaat and although I was the only girl in my clique there it didn't really feel so?? Talked alot more than I usually would on weekdays and it felt like I connected more? Idek manz maybe just my weekday vs weekend mood LOL. Started thinking bout my 21st though. Like if I should celebrate or not, where and how. And the cost ugh honestly if only money grew on trees or dropped fr the sky, sighs. The idea of a cafe concept is really attracting me though. Can't even remember how my bro celebrated his, if I'm not wrong I think he booked a chalet? 

Rushed home after Nat's cake cutting (sorry I didn't stay to eat it!!) cause I had to change out of my made up and dressed up self for Weiquan's party at Aranda. Changed into comfy wear and packed for the night then headed out to meet D who waited for me to be back before walking to Aranda! Speedwalking success LOL we reached in less than 20minutes?? Never knew it was so near cause it's been so long since I ran to the end of the Pasir Ris side of the park connector. Wanted to go find the rest who were watching sunset and chilling by the beach but they just told us to go striaght to the chalet lol tskkkk. 

Spent the evening chilling away with the gang, talking bout so much nonsense which cracked me up constantly. Played cards and just nua-ed around on the bed listening to music. Always my most comfy self w them :) 

I cant explain why I feel so happy every single time I'm with yall, but I just do (:

Only started interacting w his other friends after midnight because there werent many people left in the chalet. Played card games and stuff w his poly friends too even tho it's honestly weird to play Resistance w people we don't know well enough to argue with. 

Wanted to crash arnd 4+/5am but then the double bed in our room was occupied and his poly friends were taking the single beds so ended up having a HTHT w Sibin Quanhao Junyi and Zijie. So nice to rant bout stuff to them cause zero judgement and zero hard feelings. Ended up talking in the living room, then moved to the room cause we wanted to nua. Went to sleep at about 730am or so, and wokeup about 830am? Lay in bed at talked a little bit before washing up and leaving with D! Went to get Macs breakfast and walked back. Went home to crash more HAHA. Too much sleep debt. 

Considering giving up teaching tuition as well cause it's seriously zapping up half of my weekend? No idea, need to see how it goes for now. Already not earning much so I really need to save up, sigh it's always money. 

SO TIRED FR A FULL DAY OF LESSONS (830am-7pm) AND WATCHING IHCC TILL 11PM OMG. Time to knock out, NMR report can wait till tomorrow. Since I work best when I work last minute *inserts black moon emoji* next week's CNY so it's a relatively shorter week, and I finally am going to catch up for reaaaaaalll with Chingz because IHCC is over for her. SO PROUD OF THAT GIRL although I honestly thought I was gonna die watching her fly I hope you read this Chingz hahaha. 

I think one of my 2015 resolutions should be to update this space weekly, or fortnightly.
and uhm. to stop dreading every school day/week.

week 3 was alright I'd guess? I didnt really do much, considering my IG was not updated the whole week hahaha. went out on Thursday to meet Eileen because this girl's enlisting in 2 days. brought her to Eatplaylove cafe. food was just so-so but it was really just catching up, and doing the stuff they had there! I had the whole shrink plastic to myself cause that girl wasnt touching that, and I made stuff for her, and for the gang as well. since I'm gonna be seeing them on Valentine's hahaha.

cant believe shes enlisting in 2 days, altho she keeps telling me it's not that much of a big deal and I shouldnt make a big deal outta it, I cannot help but feeling like I'm sending off my lil' sister to the army. I mean I've never really seen Eileen as a lil' sister, but more of a good friend. somehow it just feels different now. will probably feel it stronger on Friday morning hmm.

Friday night was spent at netball, raging at final pool like we did again at basketball but I guess the pain doesnt prick as hard? just hoping our bad rep wouldnt pile up in joint hall and stuff because honestly it's true that we dont suck but we just keep losing out when fairplay is being concerned. headed home really late, reached home past midnight but had soup that mama made, and it totally made me feel so much better :)

Saturday was spent mugging away was super happy when Darrel jioed balling session if not I might go crazy LOL. Qianyun and Terence came to join us for abit but the bulk of it was just 1v1 training with him. crazy stamina training but still thankful as usual :) balled for 2 hours or so then went opposite for drinks w the guys. spent an hour listening to their army talk, laughing at their stupidity and their army friends' stupidity. I like how they make everything so dramatized and funny, it's like their way of chilling after a grueling week in camp, and it makes me laugh so much I become v happy too! 好温暖的感觉啊 :) left at 11+pm and Darrel walked me home, really feeling blessed by these simple gestures. say it week in week out but I just feel so happy with their company all the time :))

Sunday was Teoheng w the gang, had so much fun singing our lungs out esp when le bestie and I warmed up 12947395372874x faster than the guys did, so we just had the mic most of the first hour :P sorry guys, step up your game next time HAHA. had a mini surprise for Chinwei since it was his birthday, matcha cake which he gobbled up in 20s tsk these guys. same kinda songs, zero judgement, maximum fun :) 朋友一生一起走, I'm sure this will be us ^^ to quote le bestie: every meet up with them just feels so right :')

cant believe it's 15 days till Sibin leaves. half a month left my dear girl, hoping I wouldnt be a wreck at the airport :/

didnt stay with them when they went to Parkway to eat and to ECP to chill cause I had to be back in hall on Sunday night. slight tinge of sadness that I wasnt there but still, gotta learn to be content with whatever I have! cabbed back to Tampines with Darrel and Terence because that two were in a rush to book in, thought I earned a free cab ride but I ended up paying cause the cabbie had no change and the guys only had $50 notes mehh. but it's okay lah money flows here and there in the gang ;) 

week 4 didnt start very well, seeing how I had uhm, 2 nights of insomnia. and crazily long days? thank goodness I had a midweek breather when I headed to Lot One because Darrel had nights out! (Am I spending too much time w him opps) Bought Weiquan's present which he super thick-skinnedly requested for. contemplated for pretty long on which to get him, and ended up just sending him pictures and asking him to choose because that bro of mine is seriously picky LOL. had Ajisen for dinner, not something I would be eating with the gang guys hahaha but well. HOW OFTEN DO WE GET NIGHTS OUT LOL. had a really good talk and laugh! thankful that he was very patiently listening to me rant rant rant about the burdens of school and the stuff that I've been upset about #blessed :) oh and we talked about primary school nonsense too haha good old days. 

on another note, was just thinking how actually even though the gang's been here for so so so so long, I've only gotten close to Darrel the past two months. and discovered that we actually get along really well, share the same passion for bball, and we have the same Capricorn fighting spirit hahaha and throw in the stubborn-ness too. thanks for taking the initiative to give me so much support both skills-wise and emotionally during my IHG period. and even now, for your patience during our training sessions despite being very critical about my shortfalls. for your constant encouragement, be it simple things from "control your breathing, dont show your opponent you're tired" to telling me how much PT you've done in camp to make me guilty. for being a good listener although I dont rant very often, teasing me about my bad temper to remind me control my annoyance better. and most importantly, for being genuine and true to what you say, you remind me to stay rooted, prioritize and work hard for what I want. and for that I'm really thankful that you're a constant in my life :) 고마워, 친구 :)

really hoping to spend my Thursday well, studying and catching up on whatever that I've missed in the week as well as work ahead because I can already see my weekends going up in flames HAHA.
