Big

I'm measuring big with this baby. In our big ultrasound, the girl was measuring six days large. Yesterday at my appointment my tummy is measuring two weeks big. I popped A LOT earlier (like you do) with this pregnancy, but the good new is today I did comparison photos... and I'm not really big at all. Or I was HUGE with Jules.

100 things I haven’t mentioned….

Yes, I’ve kind of given up on this blog. I don’t know that I get a ton of “don’t see me on a regular basis” readers, so I feel like posting what’s been going on is well, frankly a repeat since you already know… But just in case and to make those two people wondering when I’m going to blog again here you go.

In no particular order:

1.       Juliet turned 2

2.       Juliet had a carnival birthday party, complete with popcorn machine, bounce house and treats

3.       Bryant finished his first semester of law school

4.       Bryant started his second semester of law school

5.       Bryant scored a 3.22 GPA for his first semester, I think it’s something to be proud of

6.       We found out on Sept 21 that we were pregnant

7.       We told Facebook we were pregnant on Thanksgiving

8.       We found out Dec 19 that we’d be having another girl

9.       Juliet was a bumblebee for Halloween

10.   I turned 32

11.   We went to St. George in a fancy rental car

12.   Bryant ran a marathon

13.   I puked a lot

14.   We had Canadian Thanksgiving, I did the potatoes, I will never accept that assignment again.

15.   I baked more cinnamon rolls (I need to bake them again)

16.   I dyed my hair back to one solid color

17.   We went to Las Vegas

18.   We saw La Reve

19.   Bryant’s car is not cut out for long road trips

20.   Aunt Janis came into town!

21.   I finally finished painting the bathroom (the trim brightens it up so much!)

22.   I won fantasy baseball

23.   I won Fantasy Football

24.   TWICE

25.   Juliet had some poop problems

26.   We aren’t close to potty training anymore

27.   We bought a new mattress set

28.   We celebrated Christmas

29.   We celebrated our 4^th wedding anniversary

30.   We had an overnight cabin trip with a law school friend and family

34.   Got called to be a nursery worker

35.   Had to speak in sacrament

36.   Sang during my talk… twice

37.   Got released from the Nursery

39.   Bryant got called to be a Primary teacher

42.   Saw in the Heights, it was brilliant

47.   Had a double root canal, cried a lot

53.   Bryant saw Elf

55.   A few times, and I love it every time

66.   I made window seat cushions for Dorri to sit in the dormers. It warms my heart when I find her asleep on them.

67.   Have had four ultrasounds of baby girl. All is fine

68.   Celebrated lots of family birthdays

69.   Parker got baptized

70.   Got a raise at work

71.   Bought new maternity pants

72.   Having a harder time putting on my own socks and boots

73.   Only gained 5 pounds in the first half of my pregnancy

74.   Already had one stranger tell me I’m huge

75.   Pregnancy is harder in my 30’s than it was in my 20’s

76.   Completed all the candy crush levels on my phone

77.   And currently on the computer (at least the regular boards…still working on dream land)

78.   Had an ok Super Bowl party

79.   Am retiring from planning the Super Bowl party

80.   Got a massage, twice

81.   Watched some Olympics

82.   Organized and deep cleaned the kitchen (it was beautiful for multiple days in a row)

83.   Have been way more emotional and moody (and maybe mean) this pregnancy

84.   Am measuring a week big

85.   Hope to be induced again

86.   Had my first Braxton Hicks contraction (I think)

87.   Juliet says funny things like I can’t hear myself (when something’s loud)

88.   And not funny things like Don’t talk to me

89.   When she’s angry she says things like I’m never never never going to your party

90.   Bryant shaved his beard, on accident

91.   Bryant re-grew his beard

92.   Spent New Year’s Eve at home

93.   Was asleep before midnight

94.   Juliet doesn’t like fireworks on New Year’s Eve

95.   Juliet thinks we should name baby Sister, Brother

96.   Naming a second child is harder than the first

97.   The smell of roast and most red meat still makes me want to puke

98.   My skin is grossly dry between winter and pregnant…seriously not pretty…

99.   I should consider using lotion

100.  We are a very blessed family

Stay tuned, plans (some secret and some not) are in the works over the next few months, although maybe it’ll take six months to hear about them. We’ll see.

Maybe tomorrow I’ll gather some pictures for your entertainment, but don’t hold your breath in case it doesn’t happen…

It's really been 4 months...

Yep, I'm behind by a long shot... I don't even know what there is to catch up on. So we'll go the bullet point method and then just post a billion pictures for your enjoyment.
-Bryant started law school! First day of classes was today.
-Jules got some pictures taken (multiple times because she had a MELTDOWN)
-Jules is a crazy pants talker. She speaks in sentences.
-We are working toward big girl undies. She is about 99% consistant with her #2 business on the potty she just isn't all the way there with her #1 business. We are probably going to work on that this weekend.
-We all survived the tossing of the binky (I guess the hiding of the binky, since I actually still have them) Like with so many other things, it went MUCH better than I anticipated. Cute side stories about that. The day before, I said ok Jules tomorrow we throw away your binky and she said no it's mine, and I said no I'm letting you borrow it and she replied hugging it, but I love it. On day 2 without it she asked my father in law for it and he replied you don't have a binky anymore and to that she whimpered I'm a big girl.
-We are done working at Hale. What the what I only work one job? Crazy pants I know!
-We have now lived with Bryant's parents for three months (really three months?) Time flies when you are having fun. I will one day have to re-sleep train my child, but it's worked out rather smoothly.
-We went on vacation to California. Saw San Francisco, saw a baseball game, and saw some family.
-I'm mastering making cinnamon rolls.
-We had a yard sale.
-Bryant is scuba certified.
-We painted the bathroom (although it's still not quite done)
-Jules watched fireworks and loved them.
-We ran a 5k
-Bryant got in on the lottery for St. George Marathon
-I'm KILLING it in fantasy baseball
-Jules can count to 12
-She knows a lot of colors
-and a couple shapes
-Life moves on and on and on...

Aunt Whitney got her looking all spiffy cute for grandma's Easter egg hunt. Thanks to Aunt Sara for helping her find her 22 items (sometimes my mom doesn't know how to stop when it comes to the grandkids) while Bryant and I were at the Jazz game working.

 Slurpee races with Jentry. My kid is focused, she doesn't worry about the competition!
