i'm not excited to leave, i like the way things are for me right now (cept for one bit whcih i still have to clear up), but i'm not sad to leave either cause i know there are interesting things waiting for me in aussieland.
rahh.. this is so surreal. i don't know why i'm not feeling anything.
ok well i'm really thankful for this long break i had. learnt so much, saw things from different perspectives, met so many people.. it's been a good three months for me :)
whether or not i see the people i hope to see tmr, i'll be back anyway, in july, for a week or two. (but there are a couple of people i really want to see who cannot make it. but gahh)

my last day of school was really different from what i'd expected..
elliot milk abra(ham) russel and quite a few other people prayed for me after school.. it was rather touching. TESSA CHIN also called all the way from canada to wish me all the best and stuff.. i love that girl!
i stayed back after school in attempt to write a few notes to people, but i ended up talking to BFFAE, daniel david andrew, darli, errol and victor chang. then i went for theatre arts and helped with the painting of the set a little. i got to watch a bit of love/retreat too.. i quite enjoyed it! you guys should get tickets and GOOOOO!!! hadi came over after rugby and watched for a while. after sitting in for a bit of debrief, we left for dinner.
wednesday started with me waking up one hour later than i was supposed to and i had to call daniel david andew to tell him that i was gonna be late in meeting them at harbour front.
it turned out that i wasnt the only one who was late. hahaha.. it was super hot at sentosa! touch rugby, ice cream, frisbee, taking the little tram around, swimming across to the other 'island' and getting sounded at by the lifeguard! hahaha.. wednesday ended with reunion dinner at mama's place. simple weekend dinner in her humble little kitchen beside the toilet. hmmm.. sounds gross. haha.
thursday started with a visit to the hospital to see yeye. his legs are too weak to carry his weight, but other than that, he was pretty energetic. i couldnt talk to him though.. i don't know teochew. then again, to be completely honest, i probably wouldn't have had much to say even if i knew the dialect. i've just never really seen mama and yeye as my grandparents. so weird. and it's not something to be proud of. sigh. we had lunch at (aunty) carrie's place. (uncle) clement and (aunty) cheryl were advising me against the horny hunks and beach bums in aussie. "and JUST IN CASE you tio pian, use condoms.. know how to use or not??" haha...
and now i'm in malaysia in the home of the greatest grandparents ever!! haha.. i guess i don't mind the fact that most of my angbao money is in ringgit.. the feeling here's not something i can really describe, but it's not a bad feeling :) so while i'm here, i'll be taking a couple of days off to prepare myself for aussie and what's ahead. YEAHH!!

I went for ny first lesson with kranjit today.. Her face was seriously black and I was so scared that she'd catch me sleeping. Yes I was ultra tired, then a point came where I decided to wake myself up a bit so as she was about to read a stanza of 'Disabled', I went "mam, can I read it"
I think she was slightly surprised and she went "SURE!"
Then I asked her for the translation of "esprit de corp" which she apparently went thru with the class when I ponned. THEN only did she realise that she'd not taught me before. Haha so she asked if I was new. I said yes. Then she asked for my name. But unsure of whether or not I'd get into trouble if I told her my real name, I said" eeeeeee..lisa" yeah my eeeeee lasted as long as I took to decide. So she went "oh, emphasize on the eeeee is it?"
I looked blankly at her.
"So should I call you elisa or ee ee ee lisa?"
"Oh.. Hmm.. The second one" I replied with a smile. Haha and guess what.. She really called me that way!
She went "ee ee ee lisa will you read the next stanza for us?"
She really had me taken aback there so I went " oh oh oh kae."
Haha.. The WEIRDEST english lesson I've ever had in a long time!
Oh we celebrated sam's bday today.. It was quite a success, though our ice cream melted. Haha.. Happy early birthday sam! Hope you're enjoying yourself on the flight to italy!!
Frisbee was good, although I was emoing a bit. I was emoing quite a lot today luh.

monday: russ, abraham and i had an interesting chat with mr physics teacher :)
cough was pretty bad so i sat aside for frisbee then left sch with hada and headed to mama's place. there were about 4 people staring at his foot which said "step here." :)
tuesday: dinner with mummy at nyny, bumped into alex chua and andrew :)
wednesday: drama! trained home with yvonne and johannes. went to HOB and touched base with aunty rudee and calvin. talked to kaogong on the way back.. then bumped into mdm ho and talked to her for a bit too. went to aunty choo geok's place to get something and ended up having yet another chat. haha..twas good :)
thu: got a harry potter-like cut on my brow when rachel and i ran straight into each other during PE and i nearly blacked-out. haha silly rachel was so paranoid after that, and treated me like a child! haha she can be so amusing. this was the first time i saw jia rong at frisbee. frisbee's fun..hehe.. went for dinner with johannes.
friday: went to taka to shop for a bit with hada then headed to school after lunch. then from sch we went to haji lane but it was dark and wet and late when we got there so we just checked out a few shops.. but it was really cool that place! we had dinner at this arabian food place.
oh and i watched 27 dresses lastfriday! sam dj chin yisheng anton and i were at vivo and they made me shop for a dress. (ok, a little outta point here) then at night hada and i went to catch 27 dresses after dinner. it was funny but sad but happy! not a bad show. :))

i skipped english today and went to 5.2 for free period!
here's the story:
background: for english lessons we alternate between 2 teachers, brian ng (super nice) and kranjit (fat indian lady with 24/7 PMS or so i heard) today was kranjit's class but i've never once attended her lesson because i've been following this other really much cooler indian teacher.
today, i couldn't find the other class so i had to go back to my rightful class of 5.8 where kranjit was teaching.by the time i decided to go for her lesson (believe me it was my last resort when i couldn't find anyone with a suitable "crash-able" lesson), it was about 10 min past start of lesson. so i entered and greeted her with a slight bow (which is so what we do at AHS) and went to my seat.
kranjit: excuse me young lady you walkinto class late without greeting th teacher??
me:oh sorry mam, sorry...
here's what my heart said: sian! walk into class and get scolded.. i'm so not sitting thru this lesson!
kranjit:ok class yada yada yada you do NOT come into my class unprepared.
so i raised my hand "excuse me madam.. is this english class?"
kranjit: yes
me: oh sorry.. i think i'm in the wrong class
and i walked out while supressing my laughter.
and i found myself in 5.2!! :)
i ended up chasing neil the hyper KID up and down the corridor for my wallet while a few of the year sixes watched and cheered us on. goodness. NOT funny. i had to go all the way back to the other end of the corridor alone to get my wallet back then walk all the way back to class. then i foundmy handphone missing. so i went after neil again. and if that wasn't enough, he took my bottle for round 3. NOT FUN. junxiong took a video of me tugging at niel's tie though. :) neil almost lost the battle till he found his ultra powerful weapons which forced me to surrender -- his retainers FRESH FROM HIS MOUTH! YUCKKKKKK!!!!
another highlight of the day would be the little conference russel abraham and i had with terence chiew:) wont elaborate on that though.

i woke up two hours later than i wanted to but i'm glad i got the sleep.
did a bit of packing.. then dj called cause he wanted to bring me to try some weird-named food at dover market. (but it was too much of a rush so it was postponed)
so anyway, i went to school for drama and bumped into junxiong at the front gate.
since i was early, the two of us went to check out the charity sale the secondary school boys were putting up. it was really really cool. the feeling of coming to school and see it buzzing with activity that's waiting to pull you in -- it's great. i really love school.
drama was pretty fun.. i love putu.. round and funny.. indeed a bundle of joy! hahaha.. he can be such a bimbo though :D after drama, yvonne headed hoome to wash up cause she had squash in the morning so that left me and sam. we went for lunch at holland village.. well not exactly lunch.. more like fries and jasmine rice balls. haha.. then dj called to tell us that he'd finished mugging so he came to join us and we hung out for awhile before heading to chris's place for the bbq..
i had no idea it was a farewell bbq.. i thought it was just a gathering.. all of em were so sweet.. they made this scrapbook with all our photos in it and uh.. sang me a birthday song. HAHA. so here's a big thank you to

studying and sitting for the o levels was enjoyable (surprisingly) albeit tiring. and NO, i wouldn't wanna sit for it again. oh wait, correction -- studying and sitting for PRELIMS was enjoyable. no so for the o levels.. by the time prelims came i was burnt out.. hardly any motivation left. perhaps it was due to the fact that i had secured a place in trinity. but of course, right now, i can still say i did my best (though the best is yet to be!! hahahaha).
before the results were released an abrupt thought just raced across my mind --" wouldn't it be cool if i got an affirmation from God?" and when i mean raced, i really mean raced cause i wanted to get a single digit score! by an affirmation, i meant affirmation of my decision to go overseas.
true enough, my score probably wouldn't get me back into acsi considering the fact that IB results were so good this year and there'd be great competition to enter the school. therefore it was so clear that i have to go overseas. all these didn't occur to me as i stared at my result slip. whatever thought that went through my little head earlier was completely forgotten. i called mummy to tell her my results but she was pretty fine with it - she was just a little worried that I wasn't. a while after we hung up she smsed me saying "Hey, this reaffirms the move to trinity! Praise God!" then i remembered thinking the thought that i quickly brushed off earlier.
and so for what i scored, i'm thankful :)

thanks to all who didn't press me for my score but still just making sure i'm fine. i just feel so frustrated when people try to cheer me up as if i'm not satisfied.
