So happy for our summer days. Here the kids are having fun in the pool. They would never get bored of this, but this time it was different as they got a little cold after about an hour, as the sun started to go and come again. So they didn't mind coming out.

The kids had a lot of fun with these foam letters in the bath tub, they played forever, more than one hour. The letters are a part of Emily's present for being a big girl and going on the potty. She has been potty trained about a week ago and she is doing great, just an accident every once in a while. She learned it in one day, with a couple of accidents in the following 3 days, and even now an accident every once in a while when she is too busy playing and forgets about it. But it worked so much better than we expected, we are happy for our big girl. She is so funny how she asks for her candies and knows it's her right. She always gets them after she goes potty, because she deserves them. The way she asks is "I want a red candie" or "I want a yellow candie" or "I want 3 candies". :-)))

We had some very special days with Joyce before she left to AK. It was nice she had some good time with the kids, who enjoyed her very much. They played together, went for walks, read together etc. These first 2 pictures are good bye pictures, and Emily was so funny that she didn't want to say Good bye, she just said "No good bye" several times, her cute way to say she didn't want Joyce to leave. But... auntie Joyce couldn't listen to her plea unfortunately. We'll miss you auntie Joyce, and we'll talk with you in the meantime. We all love you!

Misc

We just got some 'new' outside toys from our neighbours' garage sale, and we are all very happy. Playing there for ours a day makes the kids happy and mama too :-)
Here they are getting lunch ready.

This is how men are, they don't spend much time in the kitchen.

Mama, isn't this tub for my dolly?....

Jonathan emptied the whole drawer, there was nothing in it at the end. Emily just assisted :-). She used to do this too, even more often than Jonathan, but we are glad that she is growing to be a big girl and she knows better and better what is really helpful.

This is how mama found Emily when she went in her room to check if she was awake.

Measuring their scratches. They both got them in the same day (not at the same time though)
And something else they did together was falling asleep in bible study meeting on Wednesday. It is very rare when one falls asleep in meeting, but this was really unusual. So both mama and daddy had a sleeping child in thier arms.

These pictures are owed to Emily, who got excited that she saw the moon, otherwise we wouldn't have noticed what a beautiful sky we saw from our back yard

Karen's Party

We were invited to a vey nice surprise party for Karen's 50th birthday. All was organised by her loving husband Dan, who wanted to have some of her old friends on her birthday and did it all secret. Anyway, it was very exciting for us all to get at their house while they weren't at home and then wait for her (them) to come back and as she came into the house to shout SURPRISE! She had a much nicer birthday party than what she thought, as the story was that they would go to a simphony. We all enjoyed it together. Thanks to Dan who organised all this and gave us all a very nice time together.

Chelan Convention

We had 4 wonderful days at convention last week. A little taste of Heaven. I always like to think that if here on Earth is so special and undescribeable to feel God's presence so close at convention time, how will it be in Heaven, when it'll be no Earth any more, Heaven 100%. I like what Gordon told our kids when we arrived there, and I totaly agree with: We are at convention now, no better place to be. Those most wonderful days passed so fast and I always remember what somebody said one time: Why do we have for convention the shortest days of the year? I think this is what we all feel.

Here is a picture of our canadian friends Doug and Loretta and their girls, who came for the weekend.

Here is a picture we took on Saturday, of the kids under 10, we can't say ALL the kids, as it is very hard to gather all of them together. Here is about a half of them.

It is interesting to see what is happening on the opposite side of the kids too :-)

ImageMama's little helper

ImageBoys play with rocks, and girls pick flowers, just a la carte ;-) Really, this is what they were doing, I just took them and put them next to each other for a picture.

ImageDaddy was speaking on the phone and Emily just took her cell phone and went next to him, "speaking" with tanti Alina (auntie Linnet), even if she didn't know who daddy was speaking with. But with somebody else anyway.

ImageMama wasn't quite there with them and all at once Emily started to call mama desperately, to let her know that Jonathan got all messy from putting his hand in his cup. She was shouting "Sterge!" (wipe him!), holding his hand so that he won't get messy even more :-)... Good big sister!

Jonathan and great uncle Lael got good friends from the first minute he arrived.

It was nice to be with the family for a few days, which doesn't happen very often... Here it's a couple of pictures of the kids with cousin Addison. They had fun together and it was good they got to know each other better. To see all the pictures, click HERE
