The other blog

Hey everybody! I know it has been hard to visit my blog these days because I only post like once a month and I totally apologize for that. It has been hard to keep up with this blog and my business blog at the same time so I thought I would just mainly focus on the other one. I will try really hard to post some here once and a while, but the bulk of our everyday happenings will be spotlighted at www.blog.littlewunders.com
So feel free to browse my new blog for our family updates! Thank you so much for visiting!
Excuse the drooling and the weird color cast from the tv on his right side. Kenji says come visit often!

I haven't forgotten this one!
From the way I have been blogging many of you may think I have neglected my second child. He is growing so fast and it would be a sin for me not to document his everyday happenings, but I just find myself busy with so many other things that he just gets neglected somehow. I remember with Emi I would take tons of pictures of her and I guess Kenji is falling into the second child syndrome. I will try my best to do better!
Halloween 2008
This year was Emi's first time going trick-or-treating! She went with dad and some other neighborhood kids around the block. When it started raining we asked if she wanted to go home and she said she wanted to keep going! So I guess getting loads of candy is a real motivator for her these days. Many of you may recognize this costume from last year's Halloween. I say there are so many more Halloweens to come why not squeeze in an extra year out of this one.

Potty training

Well, I thought I should start Emi back on potty training after a month of having the baby. We tried bribing her with all kinds of things from candy, popsicles, princess dresses, princess shoes and so forth. Nothing really worked and I was ready to give up. Then I talked to someone who said that they potty trained their boys by giving them "potty toys" where the only time they could actually play with their toys was on the potty seat. My thought was we tried everything we could think why not give this idea a shot. We knew that she was in her princess stage so we could use princess figurines to accomplish the job. We started maybe two weeks ago and the toys are a big hit with her. For each time she goes potty on the toilet she can choose to have a princess to play with for the day. The start of last week she started with maybe one a day. Today she made it to three times and at the end of the day she actually went a fourth time so she has four all together now! I never thought I would see the day where I could get her to do it on her own, but with a little patience and a few plastic toys Emi is on her way to accomplishing an amazing feat!
(You can tell that this is a big deal for me because I don't think I have ever written this much in a blog entry before.)
