These are a few of my favorite things!

I can't believe how fast time flies! Hagan is now 5 1/2 months old and it seems like yesterday we were going 90 mph from Statesboro to Athens to have him! He is getting so big and it is so much fun to watch as he goes through these different stages of learning. Right now he is trying to sit up on his own. He can sit with the boppy behind him but then he starts leaning forward and next thing you know he has fallen over. It is fun to watch him really try to sit. He concentrates so hard! He is the cutest thing!

Emma is same ol Emma....getting into everything and testing our patience. Who ever named this stage the terrible 2's was spot on but this to shall pass! She is so much fun though! I never know what is going to come out of her mouth. The other day she formed her own word "Oh my gommit!" I think it was a mixture of oh my goodness and dadgommit (if that's how you spell it?) I don't know where she gets these words from...lol! She has such a passion for life and is the most curious person I have ever met. She wants to know why everything does what. She talks non stop!

Happy hump day! Only 2 more days till the weekend!! Whoohoo! That means only 1 more week till Jamaica!! Well here are a few pictures of Hagan doing some of his favorite things!

The Tulsa Zoo

Image Image

Sorry it has been a while since my last post! It seems we stay busy these days! Emma had her last day of school on thursday but they offered a summer program and since Emma loves school I signed her up for a few days a week. She can't wait to go back June 2nd especially since Miss Ashley will be teaching this summer too! On saturday we went with our friends, The Rahn's, to the Tulsa Zoo. The kids had a blast but we were all exhausted when we got back home! We all crashed last night! I have attached a slide show of our trip! We are just going to take it easy today. Emma woke up this morning with a stomach bug so we are trying to get her better right now. We have plans to go to a fish fry tomorrow if the kids are all feeling ok. Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend!!

A Great Visit!

Mom, Dad, Alex, Poppy and Mema Sybil came to visit us this weekend. Thursday was my birthday and they rolled in about 3 that morning. We had a jam packed weekend but it was lots of fun. We went out to Bella Italia for my birthday on thursday. On friday, we had a big BBQ out at the house. It was nice because my family got to meet a lot of our friends out here. Saturday we went to the Fort Smith Air Show. We had a great time but boy was it hot! Emma and Hagan were such troopers. Emma LOVED the planes and helicopters or as she likes to call the "helitopters". Hagan was dedicated at church this morning. It was so nice to have family here for the event. The crew pulled out around 2 this afternoon so they have a long trip ahead. We decided since we had so much fun at the air show yesterday that we would go back today so after everyone left, we headed back to the airshow to tour some planes and helicopters. Emma was also dying to go down the slide. All in all it was a great weekend! It is always nice to see family! Here are some pictures from our fun weekend:

A Wonderful Mother's Day!

Sunday was so wonderful! Well...actually let me start at the beginning on Saturday. We went to bed Saturday night and around 2 am Emma came and got in the bed with us. I cannot sleep with her in the bed. It amazes me how someone so small can take up that much room! Anyways...I decided to go crash in the guest bedroom so I could get a little sleep. Around 7:00 am Emma busts through the guest bedroom door and says "Mommy, Happy Thursday!!" It was so precious! She was trying to tell me Happy Mother's Day. In that moment, my whole day was made! Being a mom has to be the greatest blessing in the world! It made me think back to when I had both of them. I had no idea when Emma came into the world that my whole life would change and she would become this vivacious, prissy, incredibly smart, curious, and full of wonder little girl! She amazes me every day! Hagan is this little creature that is just establishing his personality and his smile melts my heart every day! He is definitely a mommy's boy already! Well I thought I would go back down memory lane to when they were first born.

The days my world changed:

A Mother's Love

Image
Today I went to do some shopping in Rogers. It is about an hour and fifteen minute trip there so of course lots of things ran through my mind. Mother's Day is coming up on sunday. I am so excited. It is like Christmas for me! This year I have two beautiful babies and a wonderful husband to celebrate such a wonderful day. I love this day because becoming a mother is truly the greatest blessing in the world. It makes me appreciate my mother more than ever now that I have kids of my own. I am truely thankful for my mother and thank God every day for her for she is truely my best friend. I hope that one day my kids will feel the same appreciation and love for me as I feel for my mother. For all you mother's...I hope you have a wonderful mother's day and here are my Happy Mother's Day words for you!

Mothers are special people
God knew that from the start
That's why he created them in His own image and to them gave the biggest heart.
She's able to heal our hurts with only a kiss and hug
She's able to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is never slow as a slug.
Mothers are special people
God knew they'd always be
He created them to do so much that involves you and me.
She has to be a teacher to teach us what we need to know
She has to be a taxi driver to get us where we need to go.
Mothers are special people
God knew His work was complete
When He created someone that could do SOOO much on her own two feet.
She is a Christian on Him she depends
She displays the fruit of the Spirit and a helping hand she is willing to lend.
Mothers are special people
God tells me so each day
For if it weren't for Him I wouldn't be one today.

Tired!

Sorry guys! I have been really slack this week with keeping up with the blog. I feel like I can't catch up on my sleep. Ever since we were all sick last week my body just feel worn down. Hagan isn't feeling that great either this week. Anyways, I thought I would post a few pictures of Hagan since he is growing so fast. Hope you are all doing well and I will try and post some more pics soon!

You've got to fight for your right to party!

Note: The title is a tribute to my wonderful friend Kathryn! Happy Birthday to us!

Well, we had an adult night out last night for mine and Kathryn's Birthdays. We had lots of fun and it was nice to get out without the kids! I thought I would attach some pics of our fun night out! It is sunny out today so I think I am fixing to go get some sun while the kiddos are napping!

Wild Thing!

Well, it has been a while since my last post. We have all been sick this week! Jason, Emma and I have all had strep throat...fun, fun! We are all better now thank goodness! The kids and I and the Rahn's decided to go to Wild Things Farm today. Forgetting I'm not in GA anymore and it isn't 80 degrees out I put Emma in capri's and a tank top. It was freezing out and right after us being sick too! Well, I wrapped Emma and Hagan up in blankets and we went and fed the goats and that was about the extent of our trip. It was just too cold out! Well, I am attaching a picture of Emma feeding the goats. She thought they were so funny! I am also attaching a pic of Emma and Hagan in his bed after their bath...too funny!
