FALL BLESSINGS!

Next to Spring, Fall is my favorite time of year. Although in California a blurry line is drawn between the seasons, I still love seeing the pumpkins on the porches and the leaves slowing starting to fall from the trees.

This is my busiest time of year. Not only with the shop, but with the kids, school, family...you name it. I won't get the opportunity to blog as much as I would like. We are slowly getting ready for Halloween in this house, my all time favorite holiday. I need to remind myself on a daily basis to stop, look around and appreciate everything I see. I know we are blessed in many ways. Wishing all my friends, family and those who stumble accross my blog, MANY FALL BESSINGS!

Sunny Days!

It's been raining here for the past three days. No complaints here, we need it. The sun is peaking through today...hooray!

The newest dolls in my Candy Colored Cutie's Collection were inspired by sunshine and spring...my favorite time of year. I'll be adding them to my shop tomorrow.

Can it really be fall?

It seems like just yesterday I was watching my garden come to life. Now all the leaves are starting to fall from the trees. The holidays will soon be upon us. I better get back to my sewing machine :)

Back in time....

Sometimes I feel I was born in the wrong era... but none the less, here I am. I think that's why most of my creations just can't escape the days of yesteryear.

I've been working so hard lately. It's been a whirlwind month. With the kids going back to school, baseball, soccer, my own school schedule...YIKES! It's these times that really make me appreciate the simplicity of life long before I ever entered this world.

Even on those 'crazier than crazy' days I know that I am blessed. I hope you feel the same :)

Awwwwww..... little LILY! What a beautiful name. Absolutely perfect for this gorgeous mix of vintage reproduction 1930's floral prints and current checks and polka dots. I love Pottery Barn Kids, that's no secret. When given the opportunity to create a custom pillow and owl based on their HAYLEY BEDDING I was in heaven.

Little bits of me but still keeping the same feel. Pure vintage inspired sweetness :-)

Shabby Sweet

These little cuties are just a few of the finishing touches going into little Charlotte's nursery. Isn't this bedding GORGEOUS? I love sage and lilac.

Her mommy (Sarrah) had a very specific vision for the pillow. I think it turned out perfect.

Wee Little Woodland Friends

I'm knee deep in orders right now but FINALLY put the finishing touches on these sweet little girl owls. Owls hold a special place in my heart. When I was a little girl my mom would collect all sorts of owls. Funny that all these years later they would become so popular again. So much fun to make too!

When I saw the most recent pictures of my cousin Charlie and her sweet little Lola Rose, my heart just melted. It is amazing how it seems like yesterday I was traveling to England with my own mother to visit family, the same year Charlie was born. Now she and I are both moms, grown women raising our own children. I made this sweet little doll for her little doll. A little piece of love from the states. xxxxooooo
