So much food...

Haven't been out with her for quite some time...and today we spend the whole afternoon together do things we love the most...food and window shopping..Well i guess it's really a great way to spend the moody rainy day...

New Toy

My aging workhorse Nikon D80 are now at Nikon Service Center for some tunning.

Today i got my new light toy. A Lumix LX7 in which is not bad. Luv it!

Taiping revisited

Taiping 600 km up north of Johor Bahru (Rock & Roll capital of the nation)

An old town, home of the hundred years old rain tree,hundred years old prison and received the most rainfall than other place in the country ( trust me). Since the town were planned on grid system, it is also home to most traffic light in a single town. If you going to drive in the area please be patience. (people here would parked or stop their car as they please too)

It's actually a just a short trip, more of a layover. Taiping offers you one the most scenic view and historical place in the country besides the overrated historic Malacca.

Taiping Lake Garden and British Army Memorial. Two of the must visit place in Taiping. The picturesque lake garden are best to be visited very early in the morning as it came alive during that time as it is a popular spot for exercise among the locals.( mostly retired folks) and the views were breathtaking. Misty morning and hill as the back drop are so therapeutic. Morning strolls around the lake is must do activity when you where here. After the stroll, a visit to Taiping Zoo would be another good activity (if you like to watch bench long monitors lizard basking in the sun)

There's also old colonial building from the British era and plenty of museum to visit too.

Taiping were also the set for the famous blockbuster movie 'ROCK' by Mamat Khalid

Accomodation should not a problem here.There are plenty of option for accommodation for budget or non budget conscious traveller.

Famous for their char kway teow. But there's plenty of other choices for
food. Old skool style fried noodles, moist spring roll, laksa, you would be spoiled for choices. But for the weak stomach there's plenty of fast food outlet too.( taiping have to most outlet of KFC more that any other places i known) However my personal favorites is the char kway teow near taman koperasi guru.
