New Year's Eve

We wanted to eat at the Pie sometime during the holidays. PE's old work is right by it, and he went there often. So he wanted to enjoy it one last time.

The kids didn't love the pizza, and P3 wouldn't eat anything except the Parmesan cheese.

We also hit the Lego store. Another place PE won't be able to visit as often with his new job.

December Pictures

We had a couple work parties to go to this month. My mom watched the kids for us one night. They decorated a gingerbread house!

P3 is obsessed with Frozen right now. And he didn't even see Frozen 2! He loves Elsa, and wants to watch Elsa shows all day long. He likes to play with his sister's dolls. We also have Frozen 2 songs playing on Alexa, so I constantly have the songs running through my head.

P3 loves noodles. It's one of the few things he eats well:

P3 likes to play with our baby Jesus figurine. One night he put the figure in a toy box and cover it with his blanket. Then he brought it to bed to sleep with. It was a sweet moment this Christmas season.

My childhood friends and I got together for breakfast. We've been friends since elementary and junior high school. Natalie wasn't able to join us this year, but I am so grateful for the great friends I have been blessed with.

Christmas Day

Christmas morning! Always so magical! P2 was the first child awake and she poked her head out around 7:30 am. I went in their room, and the boys slowly woke up. P1 seemed to have a little cold and said his head hurt. But Christmas is a good reason to get out of bed!

P1's haul included a plush turtle, Pokemon cards and case, hot wheel tracks, and a Minecraft Lego set. P2 got exactly what she wanted from Santa: a snowman to paint, dolls with clothes to change, and a Princess Lego set. P3 got a Lucas the Spider plush (he loves Lucas), a Frozen characters set, Spider-man, the Hulk, and a pet dinosaur Munchin' Rex.

I think my favorite part is when they give each other gifts. P2 gave P3 a Baby Shark toy, and P1 gave him a Darth Vader action figure.

P3 gave his sibling Frozen books because that was the only thing in the store he wouldn't let go of.

P1 gave his sister a color changing sequin plush unicorn. She loved it! P2 gave her brother a Sobble collection of Pokemon cards. He also loved it!

We gave the kids Disney and Star Wars t-shirts for our upcoming Disney World trip. We also gave them Pokemon Shield, and Book of Mormon Stories for Kids - Volume 1.

Dad got X-men socks from P2, and a Switch controller grip from P1. He also got a Boba fett backpack, Boba Fett t-shirt, a Mandalorian Lego set, a Switch controller charger, and some books.

I got Link's Awakening, Ocarina of Time for the DS, a nice warm Car-hartt jacket, and Adobe Photoshop Elements.

The family also got Minecraft for the Switch.

Both sides of the family came over at some point during the day. My family gave us season passes to Lagoon, which will be fun to have! P1 also got a Yoshi plush, a rubik's cube, a How to Draw Pokemon book, and an Elephant and Piggie book. P2 got a crazy flying doll (her words not mine), a sequin unicorn sweater, a Frozen Lego set, and 3 Little Golden books. P3 got a Star Wars action figures, Avengers action figures, clothes, and the Grumpy Monkey book.

Our nephew gave us 1000 Dot-to-Dot Avengers coloring book. Each page has 1000 dots to connect and it makes a pretty sweet picture. He gave P1 more Pokemon cards, P2 a pixie Hatchicmal, and P3 a plush horse and Frozen snow globe.  PE's family gave the kids money for Disney World, and we also got a 28 days of Clean Eating cookbook.

It was nice to stay home all day and enjoy playing with the kids. We were glad nobody was too sick to enjoy Christmas considering P2 was throwing up just a couple days ago.

Merry Christmas!

Getting Ready for Christmas

We made 2 batches of gingerbread cookies for family and friends. P3 loved helping and especially loved eating them.

P3 wanted a chocolate chip on his nose.

On Saturday, Dad took P1 to get presents for his siblings. Then he came back to take P2. She hadn't been feeling well in the morning, but she seemed to be doing better. So I let her go. Big mistake! They went to Target and found the things she wanted to get. While standing in the self checkout line, she puked over everything! Dad said it was a disaster and even the store manager seemed at a lost for what to do. Poor little girl! We got her home and gave her a bath. For dinner we had chicken noodle soup. She took one bite and threw up again. We put her to bed, and I went out to the store to get gatorade, saltine crackers, etc. I also had to go find the same toys she wanted to get her siblings.

The next day was Christmas Sunday. We decided to quarantine ourselves as not to get anyone else sick for Christmas. We were supposed to go to my family's for dinner, but we moved it to Monday. P2 did better on Sunday. She was able to keep some drink and food down. She said her tummy hurt, but never threw up.

Monday afternoon we went over to my family. P2 seemed to be feeling better. My brother and his wife were leaving on a cruise, so we exchanged presents with them. They gave us the illustrated Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. P3 wanted to help open all the presents, and he claimed them all as his own.

Initially, we had plans for the kids to sleep over because PE and I were going to see the new Star Wars movie. We decided to not let them sleep over, and I was planning on not even going to the movie. But the kids seemed to being doing okay, so we went to the movie. Another big mistake. We came to pick up the kids a little after 9 pm, and poor P2 wasn't feeling well. I picked her up to carry her to the car, and she threw up. Then we rushed her to the bathroom because she said she needed to going potty. Basically she exploded out of both ends in the bathroom. Poor girl. She was crying and said that she was too sick to live. Which is super sad coming from a little 5 year old. Dad ran the other kids home and picked up new clothes and medicine. My sister stayed with the other two and put them to bed. My mom and I gave P2 a bath and cleaned and sanitized EVERYTHING. I felt really bad and didn't want anyone else to get sick because of us. P2 was feeling better after we got her all cleaned up. We brought her home and put her to bed. And promised her we wouldn't go anywhere tomorrow.

We stayed home on Christmas Eve. P2 was feeling better, but we were still cautious and didn't let her eat anything too heavy. We pulled out our Blu-track and hot-wheel cars. The kids had fun racing them all day.
