I have never seen something so amazing
as sunshine! Seriously. In Spokane it isn't that common, so when summer finally does come, when the sun finally stays out for longer, it is just the greatest thing. It feels like heaven. I don't even have to go outside in it; when it streams through the window early in the morning it is like a tender touch from heaven. I wish summer could last forever!

Now what?
I took the LSAT today. It was an extremely stressful evening before, and not because of the test. I didn't sleep. My stress level was through the roof and I'm afraid it will show in my score...then again maybe it helped me focus. I just know when I got to the logic problems there was nothing left. Nada. And there were two sections after that.
And then there was the proctor, walking up and down in front of the desks, deliberate, threatening steps every few minutes, just to make sure our focus wasn't too great; it might intimidate the Harvard Law School wannabes...NOT. She just wanted to make sure we left our zip lock bags, the one with the designated snack item, the two pieces of tissue, the government ID, and the not greater than 19.6 ml plastic drink container...she just wanted to make sure we left them on the floor. Oh, and that we didn't try to wink at the test taker in the next desk, or worse, be able to see which of the minuscule circles they colored in on question #19 of the logical reasoning section...
So, God is in charge, and this is not news. And I am fried. But happy to have been here. It has been an incredibly intense five weeks, and I had a purpose, not like the rest of my life. I mean it felt meaningful, purposeful. I have never studied harder, not even close. It was sort of fun, being so intense.

for a friend
I can see the light at the end of LSAT studying. I hereby promise to take a break after the LSAT, no matter how I do.

I have been informed by this friend that it is Sunday, "journal" time. So here goes.
I drove to the testing center today, one hour and 40 minutes away. A gorgeous day, listened to conference on CD all the way; I'm just fried though. Not much went in. When I got there, it wasn't...so I drove this way, then that way. Did you know half the streets in Moscow don't have names? And that you can't drive anywhere on campus due to "no vehicular access" signs?
So, my studying continues. On one of my timed tests, I actually got a decent score! If not for my GPA and the pesky time limit, it might have gotten me into law school, had it been the official test.
The drive was a good thing. It gave me alone time without a day trip and I was able to avoid a stressful test day looking for the test center. Sorry nothing profound this week, so call me Fried Friend.
