Christmas....

We had a great Christmas. And Bella wasn't sick!! Yay! Poor little girl was sick the past two Christmas's so this year was so much fun to have her well and see her so excited!! She woke up at 6 a.m yelling from her room "it's Christmas time!" So we got up did our presents and had yummy french toast made out of kneaders chunky cinnamon bread....so good! Then we played and played. Lyla had a rough day though. She wouldn't sleep all day and was just cranky. For dinner we had a honey baked ham, twice baked potatoes, salad and homemade rolls. Yes, I know, I put on a nice spread!! After lunch/dinner the Grandparents and Great Grandparents came over to give us our gifts and to see what Santa brought to our house.

THREE...

My precious Bella bug turned three years old yesterday! I can't believe how fast time has gone. I can remember holding her for the first time like it was yesterday. We love her so much! She is such a fun little girl. She has brought so much love and joy into our lives. She keeps us laughing that's for sure. And some days she drives me so crazy I want to cry! But we couldn't love her any more!

Bella loves to pretend. I'll hear her talking and I'll answer her or join in her conversation and she says "mom, I'm just tending". She loves to play with her baby dolls. She loves to play dress up and loves looking/talking to herself in the mirror. She also loves to color and draw and she loves to sit and watch her "shows". Right now she loves Dora, Bernstein Bears, Cailu, Mickey Mouse Club House, Olivia and Max and Ruby. She got Despicable Me last week from her Grandparents and loves it. She wants to watch it everyday, kinda funny. I swear she thinks she's older than she is. She asks to play with a friend everyday. I think it's funny that a 2 year old wants to have play dates and call her friends on the phone. She's growing up way to fast!

She has been such a good big sister. She loves Lyla baby so much. Sometimes too much! She has been a little more emotional since Lyla has come along. And that's not real fun but for the most part she is a nice, sweet and happy little girl. She loves people. She's always been a social butterfly. And I think most people love her. It's hard not too!

Here are some pictures I love of her over the years:

Holiday Festivities....

Image
Bella watching her message from Santa. She loved this and had to watch it about 15 times in a row and still asks to watch it on occasion.
Image
We decorated ginger bread houses. It was a mini village actually!
Image
She loved decorating these little houses and eating all that candy!
Image
The finished product! I know, they are good looking, but we let Bella do it and that's how they turned out!
Image
We got our tree and all the Christmas decor up. My house was actually decorated just before Thanksgiving. Love it!
Image
We've even been to see Santa! She was so brave this year. She was so excited to see him and sit on his lap and tell him everything she wanted.

While my family was here a couple weeks ago we tried to go see the lights at Temple Square but my parents car was broken into so there was a slight change of plans. But we did drive by and they looked pretty great. We could only imagine! But we did drive through the lights at Thanksgiving Point. That was fun and really cute!

We've had a great December so far and we look forward to Christmas and the rest of the Holiday festivities!

Lyla baby....

My sweet Lyla baby is 2 months old today. The time has just flown by. I remember the first 2 or 3 weeks of her life thinking what in the world have I gotten myself into. Ha ha. She was a fussy little newborn and still is a little bit but is much better. We are starting to get into some sort of a routine so that makes things easier. She has known from day one what she likes. And she likes her mama! She loves her big sister and tolerates her pretty well. She loves her Daddy and will give him the biggest smiles ever. It is so sweet! She won't smile for me like that. She is growing like crazy and wears a lot of her 3-6 months clothes already but still a lot of 0-3 to. She is becoming a pretty good little sleeper. She still takes several naps a day. Usually a couple in the morning and a really long one in the afternoon and another one early evening. And she's usually ready to go down for the night by 7 or 8.  She will sleep sometimes 7 hours at a time at night which is awesome! She is staying awake for longer periods of time and is starting to play a lot. It's the cutest thing to watch her move and kick and look all around. She is just taking everything in. We love her so much! It really is the best thing in the world to have a sweet little baby and their precious spirit in our home.

This is her looking at her daddy....so cute!

Bella and I were playing with her new doll bed so we decided to put Lyla in it. She wasn't a fan.
Image
We also made her try out Bella's new doll stroller. This she didn't mind. Love my girls!

And after all that playing and a nice warm bath she was ready for a nap.

 Lyla's 2 month Stats:
weight- 9 lbs 14oz= 25th to 50th percentile
 length-  23 inches= 90th percentile

*Bella was 9lbs 15oz and 22 1/2 inches at 2 months. So pretty much the same. It's so fun to see the differences and the similarities between both girls. *
