Ohio Day 2

Today we got a late start so the Guys (Jared, Kevin, and Jared's Friends) went shooting while us Girls (Andie, Val, and Jared's mom Lynn) went shopping and went to see the Santa Maria Exhibit.  

We had lunch at North Market. 

North Market is this cross between a shopping mall and a supermarket. Its retail space that is leased out to independent merchants. There is a mixture of delis, bakeries,pastry shops, ethnic food restaurants, specialty goods stores, and produce stands.

We went to Jeni's for Gelato! 

Wild-berry Lavender was the best!

After Lunch we went to the Santa Maria Exhibit. It was way fun. I took lots of pictures. Here are just a few.

After the tour we went back to the house and by that point the guys had made it home from camping and shooting so we hung out for a bit.  Even managed to get a dog pile on top of Jared. 

Later that Night Kevin wanted to take us around Columbus. 

First Stop, Elevator Bar for Rootbeer. 

This Rootbeer tasted like you just ate a huge Wintergreen Candy mixed with a little Anise. (Not my Favorite but was fun to try) I had Jared finish mine.

Pedicab rides in the Rain.

(Pedicabs are bikes hooked up to a cart and someone pedals you to your destination)

After that we did a little shopping at Wal-mart for Movies and Breakfast stuff for Sunday.

 

Kevin was a little Tired! 

The Whole weekend we were making short jokes, and Wal-Mart was no exception. I found a Chair just her size!

So After a Busy and Fun Filled day, it was sad to go to bed because you knew tomorrow you were going back home.

Ohio Day 1

Left Thursday Night and drove to Columbus Ohio for some camping and spending time with some really great friends. We had such a blast.  

We got to Jared's parents house about 7:30am and had breakfast. Now, NAP time.

Then it was off to Camping...  

We had Hot dogs over the fire, and Jared's dad Dale made an awesome Cherry cheesecake cobbler in the dutch oven for desert. 

(I wish I would have gotten a picture of it! It was AMAZING!!!)  

It was rainy, my allergies were really bad, and Andie wasn't feeling the best, so us girls decided we wouldn't spend the night in the Brook's barn. 

Now that schools is out...

Since I have finished my first sememster of college and have a break, I thought it would be fun to get this blog up and going... We'll see how that goes.
