Brenden's new Bedroom art

So I got this idea on pinterest, which I think is where I get all my ideas pretty much. The first letter is out of wood that I cut and paint blue/ brown striped with the help of some duck tape. Then the rest of his name is cut out in brown vinyl (via my friends siloutte machine because my cricut will not cut cursive that big). I think it measures 8 inches tall by 24 inches long. I love it!

Maddies new bullitin board

I got this old cork board at a local thirft store for 50 cents. (yes I know expensive right?) hah. I painted the frame purple and the cork board pink. Then I cut out a M and stenciled with purple paint. I got some thumb tacks and glued on pink and purple buttons on them with some e-600 glue. (that stuff is AMAZING). I love this. I think it will be a fun spot for Maddie to put pictures and stuff she wants to keep up in her room.

I don't know what I think about this. I just love wood, anything out of wood that I can paint. But anyways look at the first picture and you will see my old ceiling roofing tin I scored at a yard sale. I got two sheets for 2 bucks. YAHOOO. I just don't know if I want to make a picture frame, shelf or bulletin board with it. All I can say was I was so excited.
