Who said boys aren't dramatic....

Do not let these sweet little faces fool you....

Boys can be just as dramatic as girls, especially a 19 month and almost 3 1/2 year old.

What causes said drama....oh you know the usual....

Sorry it is too late to watch a movie......wahhhhhhh

I can't eat a cookie for dinner.....wahhhhhh

I can't take a nap in your bed.....wahhhhhh

We have to come inside ......wahhhhhh

It's raining, we'll have to eat outside another night.....wahhhhh

You can't push the chair all around the kitchen right now......wahhhhhh

Y'all.....I have some pretty great acting going on around here. They just don't know how very stubborn their momma is. :)

But really.....they are loveable, snuggly, caring, helpful boys and I am so blessed to be their momma.

Here are some things I love about my boys.....

Their manners
Their snuggles
Their cheese faces
The way they are attached to their little lovies
They way P will ask Hudson questions and Hudson will answer in so much excitement (or not sometimes too but they love to talk)
The pure joy they get playing outside (in the kiddie pool, water table, sand, doing chalk, or just running)
They know how to clean up and do a pretty great job at it
How Parker can get himself dressed and loves showing me how he can button snap, etc
Their love for music and books

Love them!

My excuse....

Well, seems like I am even a bigger blog slacker than before. So, it is time....update!

Currently I am doing this....

Image

School is out, the boys are napping, and we are waiting on two of our favorite people to visit for a few days.

I am not going to lie, sounds like a dream, and it kind of is.

But I would be lying if I said I am a perfect mom, cause heck I sent out a distress call to my hubby this morning, the packed the boys up to head to Target, bought some milk, fruit snacks, and glow in the dark bugs (boy momma or what?). We got a bag of popcorn (which the nicest girl split into two bags without even asking) and I got a Pepsi and we just walked around the store, looked at books, toys, hate, shoes, and made it home in one piece.

But, even the craziest moments, there is no place I would rather be.

We'll be back again soon.....really....I think :)

Slacker!!!!

Longest blog break ever, sorry! No excuses, besides life is busy with a full time job and two little boys!

Okay, so a long overdue update is in order....with no exciting pictures sorry! I have taken some but not a whole lot lately, and loading the is another adventure :)

Spring break!!!!

Starting today, I am off until we go back on Monday, April 8th. We aren't doing anything big, other than getting over sickness (mostly Hudson and thus far just yucky cold/cough hopefully not turning into anything else), spring cleaning the basement, enjoying a little more spring like weather, and possibly a visit to Rainforest Cafe too.

Work!!!!

I am getting into the craziest time of year, with lots of extra reports meetings and with those even more paperwork! I have a busy caseload, busier preschoolers but love it!!!!

The boys!!!

Parker - we signed Parker up for preschool in the fall. He will be going to a local preschool at a church nearby that we are very (and even more so he is) excited about. He will be going two days a week, which will be a good intro to school. We had so much fun visiting it a few weeks ago and he is so excited about his school. Parker is getting so well at coloring and staying in the lines. He loves making up new words lately, and has such a great memory. He is very curious about everything, asks at least 300 questions a day and remembers what you told him. He loves books still, a current favorite is one from the library called, Germs, curious little mind! He is anxious to play outside again, mostly in the sandbox.

Hudson- is in everything! He loves to move chairs and stools around and climb to whatever he would like to reach. He is saying lots of words all time, starting to put a few words together, and is so very smart. He loves music and loves to dance to it, even if he is signing one of his favorite songs by himself, I love the little parts he remembers and does motions to, precious. He loves to eat still, and loves to open the fridge, which is a great game ;). His favorite toys are Buzz and Woody, pretending to cook, and of course play with cars, trucks, and buses.

There you are.....a little update. I will try to post pictures sometime soon!

Birthday number Three

Parker Lee, you are three years old today. I remember that day you were born like it happened yesterday. I remember my water breaking at school the day before what would become your birthday. I remember counting those ten perfect fingers and toes, touching the furrowed brow you came out wearing and just kissing that soft little baby head at least 2 million times. I remember your first birthday, your second birthday and now here we are! Here are some things I want to remember about you right now:

- you are about 34 pounds and about 38 1/2-39 inches.
- you have been a big potty trained boy since this summer, you love getting to pick out your underwear each day.
- you finally are a big big boy about going to bed, you sometimes come out a few times before you settle in, but you are getting to be a good sleeper.
- you do the funniest thing at night before you fall asleep, many nights, you strip out of your Jammies and wrap up in your fuzzy blanket and fall asleep practically nude, such a boy already ;)
- you love your treasures and collections, squishy, glowy and tiny things are your favorite things in the world. You carry them around in the pumpkin Auntie Gayl made for you, or push them around in the shopping cart. You just love those things.
- you love love love books still, we have to read at least 3 before bed each night, if you can't get us to read more, some favorites are anything Eric Carle, Mercer Mayer's Little Critter books, and anything with lots of little details in the pictures.
- you are at the tattling stage when I ask how your day was at Ms. Vicky's, so I have to ask "no, how was your day today?" A few times before I find out, and usually you are a good boy ;) if you have a time out it is for very boy reasons, like wrestling or pushing etc.
- my favorite part of the day when I pick you up is your big hugs and how when we are talking on the way home you'll say, "I missed you, Momma". I missed you too buddy!
- I love how for a brief time you called Hershey kisses "smooches" and how you insist a hammer is called a "bammer". You are so articulate and clever when you share information with us, I am constantly amazed.
- you are a wonderful big brother, and you share pretty well....better all the time in fact. You let Hudson climb in your bed, and play with your toys and always make sure to smooch him before he goes to sleep. I love watching you boys be loving brothers.
- when you are scared, I just remind you ...." Who is bigger than your scary things?" And you know "God is, and He'll make me brave.......like Merida"

We love you so much buddy! Happy birthday!!!!
Love,
Mommy

Three

Seriously......three? Wasn't he just a wee babe? My sweet biggest boy will be 3 in two days.

Party theme this year.....well was going to be Ninja Turtles, but we got away from that idea, and are going with Disney's Brave. He got it for Christmas and is hooked.

My mom found some free printables on Pinterest, like signs, a banner, and water bottle labels. I made sour cream cookies and am making them look like the little cakes/cookies the triplets always snatch. We are having chocolate cupcakes (via Hershey's cocoa box recipe, a fav in our house) and frosting (also off the box), fruit, veggies, and P's favorite Pizza. Nothing too crazy, but you better believe there will be balloons, favors and lots of fun!

So thankful for my spunky little buddy. He makes me laugh every single day, and he is such a love bug. He may be stubborn at times, and sassy too......but goodness I love him!

I'll do a full birthday post soon......unless I can turn back time;)

So grateful...

I am thankful for a big boy who has the funniest new words to use every single day.

I am thankful for little boys who sit themselves in timeout when they are told , "No, no. Stop or you can sit in time out."

I am thankful for a hubby who can pick up our boys when I have a little extra work to get done, and who knows when I need a Pepsi!

I'm thankful for more clothes, and food then I will ever need, the ability to have a warm house and reliable transportation.

I am thankful for our jobs, sick days, and for double insurance.

I am thankful for loving, supportive families and friends.

I am thankful for the ability to notice the sparkling snow, the beautiful frost outside each day as I listen to kids laughing, screaming and playing.

I am thankful God gives me energy and patience when I need it most.

I am thankful for parents who showed me how important it was to work hard, and how important school is....because it got be where I am today.

I am thankful for snuggly puppies.

I am thankful for all 3 of my boys, and my snuggly animals.

And I am currently thankful for a few quiet minutes to myself, even if it was because of a dentist appointment ;)

Milestones....

Hudson has figured out how to open the fridge, and recently learned how to take DVDs out of cases (finally giving his daddy a good excuse to put a new TotLock on another door, and he can open the door to the garage. He already can unlock the sliding door to the deck, because he likes to help us let Sparty out, but thankfully that door is harder to pull open, for now.......

Lord, give me extra eyes and arms, and the ability to move at the speed of light :)
