Exploring the lands of Selangor :)

Status: I'm currently a part time KL-ian :)

When you put a kampung girl in the bustling city with countless choices of everything, it can only mean one word : LOST!!

Haha but its all good and that doesn't stop the exploring side of me going. Came to realize I like going out today. May not be the outdoor sporty type of gal, but wandering around and seeing new things I likey :P

Anyways, decided to put up a list of places to visit for my quest to explore Selangor, a somewat foreign land to me.

+ Connaught Markets
KL's biggest pasar malam, to be goin in half an hour whee

+ Cameron Highlands
Do u call this in Selangor? Muahahaa I r Sarawakian with failed sense of Geography :)

+ Menara Kuala Lumpur
Once upon a time, my primary school teacher asked whether anyone in the class has been to Menara before and I heard Twin Towers so I put up my hand and said yes. She asked a few questions and I just nodded my way thru. N its still haunting me today as I still have no idea what Menara is like :P

+ Cyberjaya and Putrajaya
I dun even know if both are close to one another but a taxi uncle drove us for a spin there and it looks like a place worth visiting. Summore, got frens who got their wedding photos taken there so yeah :)

+ Nice pulau-pulaus (islands) around
This definitely is not in Selangor but hey Aaways wanted to go to the nice Msian islands, never seen any of them except Langkawi and Labuan, the two L's. Nyahaha Saw soo many pics of them. Lets see, is there a Pulau Redang somewher?

+ The Mall
It's a pretty old mall but havent been there yet so why not? :)

+ Butterfly park /Zoo Negara
I know either will put a smile on my face! Tahaaha

So far that's all I can think of for now :) Maybe my KL fwens can help add to the list haha. Heading to Connaught now!! Pasar malam's are the bestest, especially after a whole afternoon of piggie time snoozing :)

Picture time :)

It's been a long while since a picture was last seen in bloggie so here goes :)

50th OCF Convention 2009!! Wheee~

It all started with AGM in Klang, bak kut teh land :P and we created David and Goliath out of the 'resources' we were given.

Image
Then Jeannie decided to spread her love with a toilet paper flower, so touched *hugs*
ImageAnd it was Convy time @ Hotel Equatorial Melaka!
Introducing the couples:

The Davids :)

The Esthers
Image
The Miss Chan's :)
Image
and yes, we are all from a different Nation in the pic below. Wanna give it a guess where?
Image
Papua New Guinea, India, South Africa, M'sia and S'pore hehe

Image
and of course, the Word was a big part of Convy. Learnt heaps and heaps. If I were to sum it up, the two things I learnt:
1. Humility - God first then self
2. Prayer - start everything in prayer at the feet of God

Then, there was the bro's n sis from other states:
James, Sumi, and Jean

and my Bible Study group :) Thx Arthur n Kristi for leading!

Okie, that's all from me for now. Going out to makan with the Siongs :P We're a family of four again, actually five :P Even better. Nyaha it's a growing family lalala~

My very first bus trip in the land of Msia :)

Just thought I'd jot this down :) After getting a baby with four wheels in Perth, it has been a while since I hopped on to public transports and meet random people on the way. Kinda missed doing so.

Lols needed to go to 1 Utama yesterday and decided to be adventurous in taking the bus after the many hours of tryin to call a cab company. Waited at the KTM station near my place and there was this aunty waiting for a train as well. Being in quite a kampung area (as my KL fwens wud agree), there wasn't many people around waiting. Wanted to talk to the aunty but the Malaysian-ness in me was asking me why should I trust anyone out here in Malaysia? After there's so many cases of this and that. The other side of me told me why judge someone just cos I was in Malaysia and not in Aussie.

So, decided to ask the aunty whether this was the right side of the train station to wait since I wasn't so sure myself and guess what? We just continued talking and sharing stories for ages. :) She was such a sweet lady to talk to and she even told me the many different ways I could get to 1 Utama. :P

Wouldn't it be nice if everyone out there was as trustable? A world where we can just start chatting with strangers and be ok? In fact, she made my day and was glad I met her :P

Love

Funny how I keep bumping into this topic of L.O.V.E. How lovely~ :)

"Love is the most powerful feeling on earth."

"Relationships built on love will last whereas relationships built on desires will not."says NatGeo's Naked Science I watched this afternoon.

The two statements are somewat true. I believe love is something that we as humans can all relate to, whether its the love of a beautiful scenery or a love for a person. It is pretty powerful, or else phrases such as 'world makes the world go round' wont be around.

And with the relationship bit, NatGeo was trying to see whether human relationships as couples are meant to last and they concluded that yes it is made to last but only when it is built on love.

Love can be so wow yet at the same time such a complicated thing to fully grasp and understand.

I guess the question is this: Ever wondered where love comes from?

"God is love" 1John 4:16

Well if there really is a source of love, what shall our love for each other be like? Does it reflect the source of where love came from?

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."

For me, my prayer is this:
For as long as I shall live
I will testify to love
I'll be a witness in the silences
Where words are not enough
And with every breath I take
I will give thanks to God above
For as long as I shall live
I will testify to love

Wohoo~

I think it has finally sunked in that I'm done with the the first year of Uni! Wheee~

Although it meant days of burning midnight oil, especially the day before assignment due dates and being a zombie the day after, and, despite the fact that I need to have some sorta time management plan, I kinda like it. :)

Three week block prac is the most tiring thing ever! Well, it did give me a taste of working life tho :P Waking up early, work work, reaching home cook and that's about all the brain cells and energy I have to spare for the day. Being there at 7:15am on a early shift sure doesnt sound too appealing does it but I guess the highlight of it is the experience that comes with it. Carers who cared not only for the kids but also took the effort out of their busy schedule to care for you. Loved them to bits.

Day after day, the children just melts ur heart. Here's just one of many instances within my three weeks. A lil one holds your hand and tugs you along in the backyard calling, "Come, Esther, come!"

"Where are we going?" I asked. "To your office!!!"
"Where is my office?"
"I don't know, we need to find it!"

He pulls me along and we walked around the outdoor play area looking for my office. Along the way, there layed a tiny dried up brown leaf among the lush green grass.

He pointed at the leaf and go, "Here it is! You sit here." "Stay here," he looked back making a stop signal with his hand, smiling as he ran off. "I'll come back and pick you up."

How cute can cute get?

Boo boo day

Been super accident prone today, dunno why. It all started at the photocopier in the library when I was trying to get some papers out of my file to copy. *Scrattch* When I tried pulling the ring open and i saw a big line on my thumb. Whatever, I thought, its just a tiny scratch. Only realize its seriousness when blood just kept dripping. Tissueless, I had to run to the loo to grab some and while doin so, had a few big drops on the cover of my teaching file. Time to do some beautifying by sticking stuff over it :P

Returned to the room I go to only to realize a child had tripped in the toilet and had a bad cut across her chin and mummy n daddy were on their way.

Cooked dinner, and keep touching the kettle accidentally and going ouchhh!

Baked banana cake, and guess wat? Came out black crusted but inside was still quite okie.

So, tell me, a boo boo day indeed? Or issit just today?

Working life?

I'm on my 3 week block prac now and I feel like I'm working really. Wakie early, head to childcare, come home bout 6, cook, then that's about all the energy available for the day. Wats interesting is SWEET stuff seems to find its way to the top of the most appetizing chart and a few more pounds dim in significance :)

Lols, lots of cute stories to share and yet a learning process for me. What other course allows you to sit in the sandpit and play with the kids all afternoon :)

The weather today reminded me of home.

Makes me miss home but seems like I'll miss Perth when I go too.

Little things. Big things. I realize the lil ones tend to make my day more :)
  • Having stickers stuck on my marking sheet for my assignment
  • Receiving a hairband from a buddy
  • Having a kid come by, point at ya and say "ur my friend"
Sometimes its the smallest things that seem to capture my heart most.

Whose favour?

Ever been a driver behind the wheels picking up your passengers along the way? Imagine you have four passengers and you pull up at the first one and waited for five minutes. You continued driving and picked up the second one, taking five minutes as well. The third one took a while more to get ready with 10 minutes and the fourth one took up another 5 minutes. Before you know it, you end up spending a good 25 minutes waiting.

Thing is, as passengers, you might not even see or know that unless you are placed in the drivers shoes. What difference can a few minutes make rite?

The unseen side of things - many a times we forget that drivers have taken the initiative to come to your doorstep and pick ya up. It's not like they have to, but they chose to. On their own expense with their petrol meter decreasing along the way, they are the ones doing you a favour even if it doesn't feel like it. Knowing how much they've done, it wouldn't be at all too much for you to put in the lil effort to be ready on time rite?

Now why in the world did I write this here?

Cos it reflects our Christian life.

Whoaa?!?

Yes it does.

Many a times. We do things in a perspective that "God, I'm doing this, this, this and this for you." So much so that it almost seems like we are doing God a favour by doing so.

It is however, the complete opposite. Just like the driver, God has done us a favour by dying for our sins whether or not that we as passengers acknowledge it or not. It's not like He had to, He chose to.

Therefore, being a follower of Christ, we need to begin at this place of humilty, where we realize that we are not the ones doing God a favour. He has done us a favour and it is in turn our joy and privilege to serve Him.

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed,
do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through him."
Colossians 3:17

Drenched in the rain...

in the coldness of Perth's wintery days while walking home from the bus stand today. Complacent is what you become when you're so used to being sheltered by your car and can't be bothered to chuck the umbrella in your bag. :)

But was reminded again how contented I should be. So what if i was in the rain for a couple of minutes on the way home? Some people have a whole lot of unsolveable things waiting for them at home. So what if it cost me a few extra cents to catch a bus? Some people can't even use all the money they have in exchange of what was there yesterday.

Looking on the bright side, to the docs we all went and got our antibiotics.

After some rest and a dose of medication, I can feel the coldness of the winter chill again :) which meant my temperature dropped! Cos for the past two days I felt like a drunkard, face all red with my whole body feeling HOT! Housemate said I felt like a heater. Pounding headaches din help either.

Really?

Imagine if you were to design a product and afterwards mass produce it over and over again. The twist is that although it is same product, each has to be unique and special. Can you imagine how much brain juice one would need to put into that? The reality is that it's just simply impossible.

Here's a thought to ponder...

Product: Human beings
Number of product: 6,776,723,991 as to 10 Aug 2009
Specification: Each must be unique and different in their own special ways

Different viewpoints, different personalities, unique characteristics, varied thoughts, and the list just goes on and on. No two of us are 100% alike.

Can this really be possible?

It warms me to know that we have a creator that designs us unique and special, that out of 6,776,723,991 of them, you and I are one of a kind.

Porridge and soup

If you were to hear a Malay song while driving on the streets of Malaysia, you probably wouldn't even raise an eyebrow. But whenyou hear one on an Australian radio, in Perth, I had to gorek my telinga and see whether I was hearing things or really listening to a Malay song, esp when it went...

*Geleng Geleng, angguk angguk, tunduk tunduk...* in an rap song.

Hahahaa

Probably would remember that for a long long time. :)

Anyways, went to the strangest service today yet probably one of the bestest evangelism workshop.

Putting something here for the sake of it :)

Packing time. Another flying day tomolo. Dun WANNNNN *sniff*

I wonder...

1. What it would be like looking back at all these posts and seeing how much change has occurred in life, even to the tiny differences in things like how I write in this bloggie.

2. Degree degree degree. What would it be like after? Working? Teaching ABCs? Or maybe continue reading a few more books in Uni?

3. A heart for missions. I wonder what has Papa God has installed and planned? Will I just nod and go?

4. Friends. Those of my batch are basically all around the world chasing different goals and different dreams. Transitions are everywhere, something different and new you'd hear each day. What would it be like if ten years down the road? Who would that special someone be?

Everything seems a blur and I guess...

Malaysia vs Manchester United

Guess what? I watched Manchester United play, well practice in person yesterday! Since when was I an Man U fan ?? I aint know either. I atas pagar stadium bukit jalil Haha.

It was interesting alright, something different from the norm I had in KL. Had a chance to be in the shoes of a MU fan, how cool was that, what more to say surrounded by tons and tons of them. The stadium wasn't fully packed (cos it was the prac session) but there was a pretty large crowd and I enjoyed snapping away wif my cam. A time that would really help if you had an DSLR. The reporters had mega huge ones with lenses that will topple off anytime!

People cheered for our home team when they practiced, but when Manchester United came out, you should have seen the stadium ROAR in excitement. Everyone was practically standing for most of their warming up session just to have a better look.

Our side of the stadium was like a sauna. We couldnt make up our mind which direction was the sun going, so you can say we hit jackpot - it headed our direction. Was dripping in sweat most of the time and ending up like kiam hu was well worth it :)

Midway through the training, a part of the stadium started a mexican wave. The second wave was well caught by the audience. It practically went around the stadium like 3 full rounds. That was some pretty amazing stuff.

The day started off quite interestingly itself. Timothy was gonna come pick me up, we go for Bak Kut Teh and it was footie time (The English way). Never have I followed his car before. Without asking what car he drove, came down stairs to when he called to say he arrived.

I went out of the lift and almost had a shock of my life. How often do you see this parked in your condo basement?

Image
Tinted black windows and in slick red, it was a pretty big Ferrari (Always thought racing cars were small). Behind it was a Myvi which I couldn't really see who was driving as well. For a moment, I was walking to and fro unknowingly between the two cars contemplating which car to open the door and hop in. Haha must have looked like some retard.

Well, I kinda thank God it wasn't the Ferrari cos I'm pretty sure I would get a heart attack from the ride or maybe sink and melt into the seats :) *tsk tsk* But the fact of seeing a real life-sized bigger than I thought Ferrari in front of me was pretty cool.

Bak Kut Teh was yums btw :P Klang's Bak Kut Teh, one of the famous spots for it I believe. Anyways, was all hyped up all day till I couldn't sleep till the wee hours. I think it was partly cos of the Neslo I drank near midnightish as well.

My camera memory stick still doesn't wanna be read. Pics shall come when they do :)

Toodles for now :)

Nothing feels better than to be home

The clear starry skies and the familiarity of the place i grew up in, nothing beats the feeling of being home again. Mee Kolok was top priority and we had some once we touched down in Miri. Basically Malaysians = food so to no surprise daddy and I headed for some panggang chicken butt aka bishop nose at Seberkas after. Hehee

Then it was off to meet the one person ive been waiting long long to meet. Nananananana :) Coffee and catching up is the way to go man. Coffee rawks! And so we talk and talk till we saw sunrise :P

Thus was my first day back home.

Wanted pics to do the talking but my card readers dying. Wait and see people:P

Randomness on a Sunday Mornin :)

1. A bird/duck @ something fat and yellowish flew into my car windscreen and whacked it hard :) The first time I hit something on the road..make that something decided to hit me for that matter.

2. Very much amazed at how much passion there is if you dig way to the beginnings of a church. May be generalizing but assuming many started off by missionaries and it is amazing to see when churches grow and multiply. The importance of being God's messengers dawned on me.

3. There seems to be many things that Sarawak has and Semenanjung dun have. Told my mum i wanted to go get some Daddy mee to bring over to Perth and she went "Here don't have lar." No wonder my semenanjung friends keep giving me a queer look when I mentioned it.

Updated: I finally found daddy mee in one of the Giant supermarkets! Wheee

Fly fly *buzzz*

I'm back in KL and to my surprise did not fly alone this time! Quite a number of us took the same air asia plane and each of us looked like zombies when we saw each other at the airport. Some of us just finished our last paper while others, like me just didn't sleep. Can't really blame us when our flight was 7 in the morning and check in was at 4am rite? :)

Image
Rush was all I knew for the few days before I flew. Guess it doesnt help when ur hooked on Bejeweled and farming on facebook :) Anyways, think I'm getting used to all the packing. For once, I packed in about 3 hrs and all I had was 1/4 of a big suitcase. Not at all common when overweight has always been a problem when I fly.

Said some goodbyes during dinner as momo is leaving Perth for good and headed off with my coffee buddies Sam and Kenin at South Perth. Another nice place to pakto. Hahaaaa Overlooking the whole cty of Perth, the coffee shop was technically 'floating' on the river. Coffee was good and sticky date pudding was ex but YUMMMYYY alright! :) To kill time, we strolled the river and just admired those big houses and chatted along the way. When ur with two engineers, design and structures seem more interesting than they are. :P

Next destination, Sam's house. She was making marmalade and I can testify its the bestest around! Yummz. Fresh from the pot on handmade bread, never tasted marmalade so nice. Never even think I have ever liked marmalade to start with. Hiaks, if you havent realized, there seemed to be lots of food involved and to tell u da truth, Kenin and I never stopped eating. Must be the wintery weather *angelic look*

Hearts, chats, facebook, strolling around and it was time for us to fly dy. Sometimes I wonder why is there so much drama going on, even when I'm half awake. Haha. The officer who scan and checked our bags were strict and pretty unfriendly, not the norm of what u usually see in Perth. But I guess if u were asked to work at 4 in the morning, I'd guess its understandable.

The drama continued on the plane when I realized they allocated me a middle seat when I paid for a window seat. Dissapointed cos it was my chance to see sunrise on the plane and with the middle seat I couldnt even see the sky lah. Told the air hostess and she said no worries, you guys can move to two seater seat behind. Happily moved over and settled in till a northen China chinese lady started accusing us for taking her seat in a mega loud voice.

By then the plane started moving, and she just wouldnt sit down. The air hostess couldn't understand chinese and even with the lil mandarin I know of all the airplane terms, I tried to ask her to sit down first for safety reasons and we would move later. The air asia plane took off and to my surprise when I glanced at my watch it was 7 o'clock sharp! The plane was on time, if not even slightly earlier and being air asia, that was quite amazing.

For a while, we had some peace. Enjoyed the sunrise sky outseide for a while. It was B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!

Image

The plane was still ascending and the seat belt sign was still on. The aunty started pestering why we are still not moving. Didn't know what to do, we just waited for the air hostess. Apparently, a group of her friends were in front, and they wanted each a row of seats, refusing us to ove back as well. Thing is, those weren't their allocated seats either. The hostess made a deal with them that if she wanted her seat back, all the rest of them wud have to return to their own places as well. So they agreed adn we've got our seats evryone lived happily ever after after that :) haha

Despite the drama, it was one of the nicest trip I took. Not only did we see the sunrise sky, we saw the waves coming in onto the shores, a rainbow and even a plane flying pass the other direction. Not very often do you see all that in a day, so yeah I was happy :)

Rest of the time was just spent hibernating with my seat mate *drumrolls*

Roaming the streets of Perth :)

I know bloggie has been dead for quite a while now but f you've been wondering what I've been up to lately, I've been catching up with different people and am loving it :)

Yesterday was like a 'guys' day out with Kenin and Luke and today seemed to be a girls day out. Nothing pre-planned but it just so happen to be. Wanna guess wat I'm gonna have tomolo? A guy n gals day out with our Adelaide guests :) Heheee

Eventful was all I can say for all these time spent. Quite fun tho - Ikea, airport, northbridge, Royal Perth... You name it :)

Ok.. a bit of catching up on my life. How was exams u might ask? No papers for me so thats a big thumbs up and yes, I've been free all these while :)

Today started off EARLY for me, with a phone call around 9 ish. Sleeping at 3 yesterday, managed to drag myself off bed to start the day.

Itinery for the day :
  1. Help Sylvia move
  2. Meet up Jess and gang for Dim Sum
  3. Go Royal Perth with WH
  4. Koorong to shop
  5. Dinner with Winter Camp com
  6. Send friend off to airport

After all those were ticked off, I was surprised I still had some energy left in me so Min and I headed for midnight tea - scrumptious coffee and cake at Fast Eddys, prob the only place opened at that time. All energetic after all the sugar, that's when the adventure started.

We drove down to City Beach to drool and admire at the big huge mansion-like houses there beside the sea. Since its beside the sea, we ended up at one of the parking lots overseeing City Beach. With the soft glows of the lamp which lit up the jetty, we could watch the waves flow onto the sandy beach right from where we were. There was a car already parked beside us, and to our surprise there were human beings in it, couple paktoing I assume. Well, it was 1 in the morning and hope we din spoil to much of their alone moments :)

Moving on, we dropped by Cottesloe beach, a famous spot for shooting scenery shots. Google search it and u'll understand why :) Thing was, I have never seen all these places at night before. We bumped into another overseeing-the-beach parking lots and the view was 100 times better than the previous one that we decided to step out of the car to have a look for ourselves. It was after all soo late in the night and no cars were in sight as far as our eyes take us. Paranoid as I am, I parked the car in such a way that we can zoom off anytime. JUST IN CASE. Well, thing is, the JUST IN CASE happened.

As Min was searching for my camera to capture the view, a white ute (hilux, truck like car) went pass the main street. Well, cars + main streets are usual but when it signaled to enter the car park, thats when I started to worry. Shouted at Min, and we hopped into the car and locked the doors. Dat car stopped right behind my car, and if they were there to enjoy the scenery, the could park anywhere else on the big parking lot.

Maybe it was a kind soul that thought we needed help, who knows.

What I know was we zoomed off, and unsatisfied with the glimpse of amazing scenery I saw, I had a brilliant plan off turning off into some random streets so if by any chance if the ute was following us, we'll loose them and we can get back to having some peace when we watched the ocean waves come in. Brilliant plan it was, till I realized the road I turned into was a no through road. N it was a super squeezy road cos of all the cars parked along it. That road was shaped like an upside down U with only one way in out. While driving back doing a round, Min pointed out at something at the end of the road. " Is that a person or is that something there?"

Couldn't see it at first but finally the figure became clearer as we got closer. The guy seemed like he was drunk and 'bobbing' around. Being truly Msian and even more paranoid, "Not good" was all thats stuck in my head. All he had to do was stand in the middle of the road and I woudn't be able to get out or swerve anywhere.

Good thing was, it turned out to be a guy hugging a girl and probably just having an intimate time together I guess. More than relieved to leave them alone, we drove back to where we were. Stepped out, breathed in some sea breeze and lo and behold a WHITE ute had to pass by the main road again (pretty sure its the same one).

Paranoid for the third time, we decided maybe its time to head home. No more fooling around. Driving out the car park, something wheezed by and thinking it was a neighbourhood cat, I stopped only to see a rabbit hop its way across the junction. Super cute lah :) There the couple was in sight again. Girl was on the floor and guy was standing around. Dunno whether they were drunk and God knows what happened next but we had enough adventure for the night.

Chatted our way throughout and now I knw nice pakto places to go in Perth and that maybe, JUST maybe, we shud head for such adventures in a grp with guys next time so we dun need to run and rush off :)

Somebody help!

Monday, April 27, 2009

A lil prayer of mine.

Dear Daddee God, are you trying to lead me somewhere? Or trying to tell me something? Help me have an open heart and open ears to listen and recognize Your voice. Help me surrender my all to You.

Amen.

ImageOur Lahling. Zhu Jiao. Hei mao zhu. Baby. Apek. Rocky.
left us today :(

This post shall be in remembrance of Him,our faithful companion for 10 years.

It feels odd, now that knowing when we go home, there won't be anyone coming up to greet you with an ever happy face, regardless of what we feel or go through.

Rocky has always been there, always ready for a hug whenever I'm down.

Miss ya lots baby

I'm happily burnt! :)

I can now proudly say that I finally stepped foot on Rottnest Island!! It took 3 yrs in Perth for me to finally go, but it was just awesome!!! AWESOME!!

ImageRealize how its Puan x3 on our tickets? Haha btw, Rottnest Island is an island off the shores of Perth (not sure which sea) that's around 1/2 hr boat ride from Fremantle if you werent sure.

The day started off with... Timothy our visitor from KL,
ImagePuan my dear housemate, and dim sum!

ImageFilled our stomachs soo much that we tapaued quite a bit for our journey. Headed to Freo to catch our ferry and off we went - each followed by another and all our timing were literally on the dot, meaning if we were to be late for a minute or so we woudn't be able to make it in time :P Running after the train with the feeling that our Dim Sum was crawling its way up from our stomachs was exciting :) lols

On the ferry, we were briefed on how to use the life jacket but notice how every one of them watching were wearing sunnies? :)

ImageThe place was just splendid. We actually decided to go for a 3km walk to the Western most tip of Rottnest Island not knowing what to expect. It took us 6km in total return and it was the motivation of whats ahead and the words of a passerby that kept us going. Never had I seen such beautiful waves hitting the rocks by the seaside! The waves were light sky blue colour, with wave after waves sweeping across the waters as though they were clouds flowing smoothly across the sky, glietering under the hot afternoon sun.

6km was a bit of a dread to walk but it was no regret at all. The site really left me in complete awe of how great God's creations can be!

ImageLove Rottnest yet? I know I have :)

We met new friends there as well! Meet Betsie the curious...

Image
and Dorothy the hungry Quokka. Aren't they cute? :) Dorothy actually had Siew Mai for tea! Hehee, everytime she munched her way through when we gave her tiny pieces, it was as though she was the happiest thing alive and it seemed like she was smilling her way through, asking for more! This picture of her she looks kinda shy though :)

Image
Below are two pictures I quite like. First one was taken off the bus window on a couple enjoying their swim. It was quite a random shot from the tinted bus window but I liked the colour and I just thought it was kinda sweet.

ImageThe next picture had a kid enjoying herself playing on the sand with an ever so "Pirate of the Carribean" sailboat behind. Loved the boat!

ImageBasically, we took the last ferry home, all exhausted and well satisfied! Really hope there's a second time to Rottnest! Thank God for the safe journet to and fro and the super lovely, absolutely perfect weather! Cloud+wind+sun spells perrfect for Rottnest!

Next up, I have a job! This is super exciting. Wanna guess what job it is?

I'm going to be a chinese teacher!! Surprised yet? Lols, never in my life did I imagine I would teach chinese, especially with my level of chinese, but I believe it'll be a time where I learn as well as teach! Hehee A parent from church wanted to have someone tutor two 4-5 yr old child :) and their paying me $20 an hour! :P

I've left the best for last. Guess what guess what????

ImageI'm going to see Phantom of the Opera!!!! I really can't believe this is happening and I'm head over toes excited about it! First, the fact that phantom is actually in Perth (although being Aussie crew)! It's just so rare for such big musicals to even be in Perth. Summore summore, mummy said yes!! Man, I can be the happiest person in the world :) Can't wait can't wait can't wait! Wheeeeee~

My lecturer?!?!?!

"I wonder if tomorrow's class is canceled" says one of my classmates.

"Huh? Whyyy?"

"I heard today's class was canceled. Cos the lecturer who was suppose to take us just passed away."

"WHATTTTTTT?!?!?!?!"

Yesh, my lecturer passed away during the weekend, even before I've got a chance to even meet her. We had another lecturer take our class last week and all we knew was that she was not back yet. Suppose to come in this week but guess not anymore.

Have no idea why she passed away but it really comes to show how fragile our life here on earth is. Time to cherish life even more while you and I can!! Am kinda grateful I've never met her yet actually. Would be super scary if I did. This week she's there and the next week she's not anymore.

Anyways, prayers goes out to her loved ones.

My new baby~

Image Had a good deal for this so guess I settled for Acer once again. :) Another worry off my head wheeee

Pros:

Looks cool
Has virtual surround sound
HD quality videocam for chatting *super clear*
Touch panel for ur play, stop, forward..buttons
Cover looks like it has blue pixie dust on a sleek black background
LCD colour nice and sharp
Has finger print verifier and u can even assign a finger to start certain programs

Cons:

1 GB RAM *I want more!!
Bit bulky

Dat's all I can say for now. No doubt MAC book still wins when it comes to looks. Simply love the white! But I guess function wise, I can't really compare since I've never used a MAC b4. Being a windows user all my life, risk of not getting used to how MAC functions is still ther. Anyhows, despite it being not "virus free??" like that of MAC, Acer came at a cheaper deal with a better price. Guess if I'd ever be a MAC user, it wud be when I'm working *when ther's cash comin in* and hopefully by then better ones wud have emerged.

Did I mention my baby was da last one in the shop and hence they sold it off cheaper than the usual along with a whole lot of goodies from an 8 GB pen drive to optical mouse and tiny vacuum thingy and so on? Tsk tsk Not bad kan?

Kla, I'd better sleeeep! Heading for an IDP talk somewher in KL tomolo. Looks like I will need a double dose of coffee tomolo!

Nightios!

Updates I shall

Can't believe this is coming from me. I'm sick of food! From non-stop eating in Beijing to non-stop eating in Miri. N when Chinese New Year is here, it simply means more eating! I'm going global with food hahaa

Well, seriously sick of food when it made me sick to start with. First two days in KL was just bed for me. KL food's horrideble! Made me waste my time on the toilet bowl only. Some more it's not like we ate street food!!

Haha, ok ok. Better stop ranting on about that. Seems like my bloggie has been pictureless for quite a while now. It's just been words and more words. My windows apparently not genuine on my lappy and it kong's out whenever it wans. my only source to all my stuff and I can't do much about it.. :(

Looking at getting a Mac book insteaad! Comments anyone?

Kla, chiaos before it logs off by itself again.

Eating, driving and being lazy basically sums up my time daily. Laziness to the max till updating photos on bloggie was postponed cos my hard disk was right beside my laptop but it wasn't plugged in.Terrible rite? Oh wells, am loving being able to drive and meet up wif frens all around! Wheeeee

When the 8 turns 9

Believe it or not it's 2009 already! A new "Niu" 牛 year, a new phase of life, new resolutions people set to achieve.

Does reusing something I wrote before count? :P

Gonna stick to what I wrote quite a while ago and try to keep it...

"To do everything well, not to win or be first in everything, BUT to know that I've done the best I can and be contented, giving glory to God."

What I really wanna see happen this year:
  • Me wanna adopt a compassion child
Current status on Uni life ahead :
  • Looks like I'm heading for a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education in Curtin (Perth)
Man..Cant imagine myself in Curtin for 4 yrs..I wan a better library where I can rot in :P Havent accepted my offer letter but seems like its the closest to what I wanna do. Pray Esther pray!

Alrighties, dat's all for now folks.
