Exploring the lands of Selangor :)
Do u call this in Selangor? Muahahaa I r Sarawakian with failed sense of Geography :)
Once upon a time, my primary school teacher asked whether anyone in the class has been to Menara before and I heard Twin Towers so I put up my hand and said yes. She asked a few questions and I just nodded my way thru. N its still haunting me today as I still have no idea what Menara is like :P
I dun even know if both are close to one another but a taxi uncle drove us for a spin there and it looks like a place worth visiting. Summore, got frens who got their wedding photos taken there so yeah :)
This definitely is not in Selangor but hey Aaways wanted to go to the nice Msian islands, never seen any of them except Langkawi and Labuan, the two L's. Nyahaha Saw soo many pics of them. Lets see, is there a Pulau Redang somewher?
It's a pretty old mall but havent been there yet so why not? :)
I know either will put a smile on my face! Tahaaha

Whose favour?
Thing is, as passengers, you might not even see or know that unless you are placed in the drivers shoes. What difference can a few minutes make rite?
The unseen side of things - many a times we forget that drivers have taken the initiative to come to your doorstep and pick ya up. It's not like they have to, but they chose to. On their own expense with their petrol meter decreasing along the way, they are the ones doing you a favour even if it doesn't feel like it. Knowing how much they've done, it wouldn't be at all too much for you to put in the lil effort to be ready on time rite?
Now why in the world did I write this here?
Cos it reflects our Christian life.
Whoaa?!?
Yes it does.
Many a times. We do things in a perspective that "God, I'm doing this, this, this and this for you." So much so that it almost seems like we are doing God a favour by doing so.
It is however, the complete opposite. Just like the driver, God has done us a favour by dying for our sins whether or not that we as passengers acknowledge it or not. It's not like He had to, He chose to.
Therefore, being a follower of Christ, we need to begin at this place of humilty, where we realize that we are not the ones doing God a favour. He has done us a favour and it is in turn our joy and privilege to serve Him.
do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through him."

Drenched in the rain...
But was reminded again how contented I should be. So what if i was in the rain for a couple of minutes on the way home? Some people have a whole lot of unsolveable things waiting for them at home. So what if it cost me a few extra cents to catch a bus? Some people can't even use all the money they have in exchange of what was there yesterday.

Temperature
Looking on the bright side, to the docs we all went and got our antibiotics.
After some rest and a dose of medication, I can feel the coldness of the winter chill again :) which meant my temperature dropped! Cos for the past two days I felt like a drunkard, face all red with my whole body feeling HOT! Housemate said I felt like a heater. Pounding headaches din help either.
Wells, much better now and hopefully it shall all be gone soon! Really thank my housemates for all your love and care! *hugs* First time ever fell so sick without Daddy and Mummy by my side. Being a sick baby, it took distance to realize how much effort and care they put just to make sure I'm well. Hope I'm not worrying you two too much. Love u heaps daddy and mummy!

Really?
Here's a thought to ponder...
Number of product: 6,776,723,991 as to 10 Aug 2009
Specification: Each must be unique and different in their own special ways
Different viewpoints, different personalities, unique characteristics, varied thoughts, and the list just goes on and on. No two of us are 100% alike.
Can this really be possible?
It warms me to know that we have a creator that designs us unique and special, that out of 6,776,723,991 of them, you and I are one of a kind.

Putting something here for the sake of it :)
I wonder...
2. Degree degree degree. What would it be like after? Working? Teaching ABCs? Or maybe continue reading a few more books in Uni?
3. A heart for missions. I wonder what has Papa God has installed and planned? Will I just nod and go?
4. Friends. Those of my batch are basically all around the world chasing different goals and different dreams. Transitions are everywhere, something different and new you'd hear each day. What would it be like if ten years down the road? Who would that special someone be?
Everything seems a blur and I guess...

Malaysia vs Manchester United
It was interesting alright, something different from the norm I had in KL. Had a chance to be in the shoes of a MU fan, how cool was that, what more to say surrounded by tons and tons of them. The stadium wasn't fully packed (cos it was the prac session) but there was a pretty large crowd and I enjoyed snapping away wif my cam. A time that would really help if you had an DSLR. The reporters had mega huge ones with lenses that will topple off anytime!
People cheered for our home team when they practiced, but when Manchester United came out, you should have seen the stadium ROAR in excitement. Everyone was practically standing for most of their warming up session just to have a better look.
Our side of the stadium was like a sauna. We couldnt make up our mind which direction was the sun going, so you can say we hit jackpot - it headed our direction. Was dripping in sweat most of the time and ending up like kiam hu was well worth it :)
Midway through the training, a part of the stadium started a mexican wave. The second wave was well caught by the audience. It practically went around the stadium like 3 full rounds. That was some pretty amazing stuff.
The day started off quite interestingly itself. Timothy was gonna come pick me up, we go for Bak Kut Teh and it was footie time (The English way). Never have I followed his car before. Without asking what car he drove, came down stairs to when he called to say he arrived.
I went out of the lift and almost had a shock of my life. How often do you see this parked in your condo basement?
Tinted black windows and in slick red, it was a pretty big Ferrari (Always thought racing cars were small). Behind it was a Myvi which I couldn't really see who was driving as well. For a moment, I was walking to and fro unknowingly between the two cars contemplating which car to open the door and hop in. Haha must have looked like some retard.
Well, I kinda thank God it wasn't the Ferrari cos I'm pretty sure I would get a heart attack from the ride or maybe sink and melt into the seats :) *tsk tsk* But the fact of seeing a real life-sized bigger than I thought Ferrari in front of me was pretty cool.
Bak Kut Teh was yums btw :P Klang's Bak Kut Teh, one of the famous spots for it I believe. Anyways, was all hyped up all day till I couldn't sleep till the wee hours. I think it was partly cos of the Neslo I drank near midnightish as well.
My camera memory stick still doesn't wanna be read. Pics shall come when they do :)
Toodles for now :)

Randomness on a Sunday Mornin :)
2. Very much amazed at how much passion there is if you dig way to the beginnings of a church. May be generalizing but assuming many started off by missionaries and it is amazing to see when churches grow and multiply. The importance of being God's messengers dawned on me.
3. There seems to be many things that Sarawak has and Semenanjung dun have. Told my mum i wanted to go get some Daddy mee to bring over to Perth and she went "Here don't have lar." No wonder my semenanjung friends keep giving me a queer look when I mentioned it.
Updated: I finally found daddy mee in one of the Giant supermarkets! Wheee

Fly fly *buzzz*
Rush was all I knew for the few days before I flew. Guess it doesnt help when ur hooked on Bejeweled and farming on facebook :) Anyways, think I'm getting used to all the packing. For once, I packed in about 3 hrs and all I had was 1/4 of a big suitcase. Not at all common when overweight has always been a problem when I fly.
Said some goodbyes during dinner as momo is leaving Perth for good and headed off with my coffee buddies Sam and Kenin at South Perth. Another nice place to pakto. Hahaaaa Overlooking the whole cty of Perth, the coffee shop was technically 'floating' on the river. Coffee was good and sticky date pudding was ex but YUMMMYYY alright! :) To kill time, we strolled the river and just admired those big houses and chatted along the way. When ur with two engineers, design and structures seem more interesting than they are. :P
Next destination, Sam's house. She was making marmalade and I can testify its the bestest around! Yummz. Fresh from the pot on handmade bread, never tasted marmalade so nice. Never even think I have ever liked marmalade to start with. Hiaks, if you havent realized, there seemed to be lots of food involved and to tell u da truth, Kenin and I never stopped eating. Must be the wintery weather *angelic look*
Hearts, chats, facebook, strolling around and it was time for us to fly dy. Sometimes I wonder why is there so much drama going on, even when I'm half awake. Haha. The officer who scan and checked our bags were strict and pretty unfriendly, not the norm of what u usually see in Perth. But I guess if u were asked to work at 4 in the morning, I'd guess its understandable.
The drama continued on the plane when I realized they allocated me a middle seat when I paid for a window seat. Dissapointed cos it was my chance to see sunrise on the plane and with the middle seat I couldnt even see the sky lah. Told the air hostess and she said no worries, you guys can move to two seater seat behind. Happily moved over and settled in till a northen China chinese lady started accusing us for taking her seat in a mega loud voice.
By then the plane started moving, and she just wouldnt sit down. The air hostess couldn't understand chinese and even with the lil mandarin I know of all the airplane terms, I tried to ask her to sit down first for safety reasons and we would move later. The air asia plane took off and to my surprise when I glanced at my watch it was 7 o'clock sharp! The plane was on time, if not even slightly earlier and being air asia, that was quite amazing.
For a while, we had some peace. Enjoyed the sunrise sky outseide for a while. It was B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!
The plane was still ascending and the seat belt sign was still on. The aunty started pestering why we are still not moving. Didn't know what to do, we just waited for the air hostess. Apparently, a group of her friends were in front, and they wanted each a row of seats, refusing us to ove back as well. Thing is, those weren't their allocated seats either. The hostess made a deal with them that if she wanted her seat back, all the rest of them wud have to return to their own places as well. So they agreed adn we've got our seats evryone lived happily ever after after that :) haha
Despite the drama, it was one of the nicest trip I took. Not only did we see the sunrise sky, we saw the waves coming in onto the shores, a rainbow and even a plane flying pass the other direction. Not very often do you see all that in a day, so yeah I was happy :)
Rest of the time was just spent hibernating with my seat mate *drumrolls*

Roaming the streets of Perth :)
Yesterday was like a 'guys' day out with Kenin and Luke and today seemed to be a girls day out. Nothing pre-planned but it just so happen to be. Wanna guess wat I'm gonna have tomolo? A guy n gals day out with our Adelaide guests :) Heheee
Eventful was all I can say for all these time spent. Quite fun tho - Ikea, airport, northbridge, Royal Perth... You name it :)
Ok.. a bit of catching up on my life. How was exams u might ask? No papers for me so thats a big thumbs up and yes, I've been free all these while :)
Today started off EARLY for me, with a phone call around 9 ish. Sleeping at 3 yesterday, managed to drag myself off bed to start the day.
Itinery for the day :
- Help Sylvia move
- Meet up Jess and gang for Dim Sum
- Go Royal Perth with WH
- Koorong to shop
- Dinner with Winter Camp com
- Send friend off to airport
After all those were ticked off, I was surprised I still had some energy left in me so Min and I headed for midnight tea - scrumptious coffee and cake at Fast Eddys, prob the only place opened at that time. All energetic after all the sugar, that's when the adventure started.
We drove down to City Beach to drool and admire at the big huge mansion-like houses there beside the sea. Since its beside the sea, we ended up at one of the parking lots overseeing City Beach. With the soft glows of the lamp which lit up the jetty, we could watch the waves flow onto the sandy beach right from where we were. There was a car already parked beside us, and to our surprise there were human beings in it, couple paktoing I assume. Well, it was 1 in the morning and hope we din spoil to much of their alone moments :)
Moving on, we dropped by Cottesloe beach, a famous spot for shooting scenery shots. Google search it and u'll understand why :) Thing was, I have never seen all these places at night before. We bumped into another overseeing-the-beach parking lots and the view was 100 times better than the previous one that we decided to step out of the car to have a look for ourselves. It was after all soo late in the night and no cars were in sight as far as our eyes take us. Paranoid as I am, I parked the car in such a way that we can zoom off anytime. JUST IN CASE. Well, thing is, the JUST IN CASE happened.
As Min was searching for my camera to capture the view, a white ute (hilux, truck like car) went pass the main street. Well, cars + main streets are usual but when it signaled to enter the car park, thats when I started to worry. Shouted at Min, and we hopped into the car and locked the doors. Dat car stopped right behind my car, and if they were there to enjoy the scenery, the could park anywhere else on the big parking lot.
Maybe it was a kind soul that thought we needed help, who knows.
What I know was we zoomed off, and unsatisfied with the glimpse of amazing scenery I saw, I had a brilliant plan off turning off into some random streets so if by any chance if the ute was following us, we'll loose them and we can get back to having some peace when we watched the ocean waves come in. Brilliant plan it was, till I realized the road I turned into was a no through road. N it was a super squeezy road cos of all the cars parked along it. That road was shaped like an upside down U with only one way in out. While driving back doing a round, Min pointed out at something at the end of the road. " Is that a person or is that something there?"
Couldn't see it at first but finally the figure became clearer as we got closer. The guy seemed like he was drunk and 'bobbing' around. Being truly Msian and even more paranoid, "Not good" was all thats stuck in my head. All he had to do was stand in the middle of the road and I woudn't be able to get out or swerve anywhere.
Good thing was, it turned out to be a guy hugging a girl and probably just having an intimate time together I guess. More than relieved to leave them alone, we drove back to where we were. Stepped out, breathed in some sea breeze and lo and behold a WHITE ute had to pass by the main road again (pretty sure its the same one).
Paranoid for the third time, we decided maybe its time to head home. No more fooling around. Driving out the car park, something wheezed by and thinking it was a neighbourhood cat, I stopped only to see a rabbit hop its way across the junction. Super cute lah :) There the couple was in sight again. Girl was on the floor and guy was standing around. Dunno whether they were drunk and God knows what happened next but we had enough adventure for the night.
Chatted our way throughout and now I knw nice pakto places to go in Perth and that maybe, JUST maybe, we shud head for such adventures in a grp with guys next time so we dun need to run and rush off :)

I'm happily burnt! :)
The day started off with... Timothy our visitor from KL,
On the ferry, we were briefed on how to use the life jacket but notice how every one of them watching were wearing sunnies? :)
6km was a bit of a dread to walk but it was no regret at all. The site really left me in complete awe of how great God's creations can be!
We met new friends there as well! Meet Betsie the curious...
and Dorothy the hungry Quokka. Aren't they cute? :) Dorothy actually had Siew Mai for tea! Hehee, everytime she munched her way through when we gave her tiny pieces, it was as though she was the happiest thing alive and it seemed like she was smilling her way through, asking for more! This picture of her she looks kinda shy though :)
Below are two pictures I quite like. First one was taken off the bus window on a couple enjoying their swim. It was quite a random shot from the tinted bus window but I liked the colour and I just thought it was kinda sweet.
Next up, I have a job! This is super exciting. Wanna guess what job it is?
I'm going to be a chinese teacher!! Surprised yet? Lols, never in my life did I imagine I would teach chinese, especially with my level of chinese, but I believe it'll be a time where I learn as well as teach! Hehee A parent from church wanted to have someone tutor two 4-5 yr old child :) and their paying me $20 an hour! :P
I've left the best for last. Guess what guess what????

My lecturer?!?!?!
"Huh? Whyyy?"
"I heard today's class was canceled. Cos the lecturer who was suppose to take us just passed away."
"WHATTTTTTT?!?!?!?!"
Yesh, my lecturer passed away during the weekend, even before I've got a chance to even meet her. We had another lecturer take our class last week and all we knew was that she was not back yet. Suppose to come in this week but guess not anymore.
Have no idea why she passed away but it really comes to show how fragile our life here on earth is. Time to cherish life even more while you and I can!! Am kinda grateful I've never met her yet actually. Would be super scary if I did. This week she's there and the next week she's not anymore.
Anyways, prayers goes out to her loved ones.

My new baby~
Pros:
Looks cool
Has virtual surround sound
HD quality videocam for chatting *super clear*
Touch panel for ur play, stop, forward..buttons
Cover looks like it has blue pixie dust on a sleek black background
LCD colour nice and sharp
Has finger print verifier and u can even assign a finger to start certain programs
Cons:
1 GB RAM *I want more!!
Bit bulky
Dat's all I can say for now. No doubt MAC book still wins when it comes to looks. Simply love the white! But I guess function wise, I can't really compare since I've never used a MAC b4. Being a windows user all my life, risk of not getting used to how MAC functions is still ther. Anyhows, despite it being not "virus free??" like that of MAC, Acer came at a cheaper deal with a better price. Guess if I'd ever be a MAC user, it wud be when I'm working *when ther's cash comin in* and hopefully by then better ones wud have emerged.
Did I mention my baby was da last one in the shop and hence they sold it off cheaper than the usual along with a whole lot of goodies from an 8 GB pen drive to optical mouse and tiny vacuum thingy and so on? Tsk tsk Not bad kan?
Kla, I'd better sleeeep! Heading for an IDP talk somewher in KL tomolo. Looks like I will need a double dose of coffee tomolo!
