Although it meant days of burning midnight oil, especially the day before assignment due dates and being a zombie the day after, and, despite the fact that I need to have some sorta time management plan, I kinda like it. :)
Three week block prac is the most tiring thing ever! Well, it did give me a taste of working life tho :P Waking up early, work work, reaching home cook and that's about all the brain cells and energy I have to spare for the day. Being there at 7:15am on a early shift sure doesnt sound too appealing does it but I guess the highlight of it is the experience that comes with it. Carers who cared not only for the kids but also took the effort out of their busy schedule to care for you. Loved them to bits.
Day after day, the children just melts ur heart. Here's just one of many instances within my three weeks. A lil one holds your hand and tugs you along in the backyard calling, "Come, Esther, come!"
"Where are we going?" I asked. "To your office!!!"
"Where is my office?"
"I don't know, we need to find it!"
He pulls me along and we walked around the outdoor play area looking for my office. Along the way, there layed a tiny dried up brown leaf among the lush green grass.
He pointed at the leaf and go, "Here it is! You sit here." "Stay here," he looked back making a stop signal with his hand, smiling as he ran off. "I'll come back and pick you up."
How cute can cute get?
