So, I got all crazy today and decided I didn't like the name of that other blog so I went back to anothermotherrunner. I like that name way better.
And since I don't want to log on using the same info I used to use on THIS blog, I switched over to a whole new blog name yet still using the anothermotherrunner theme. in fact, all my anothermotherrunner blogs have been nicely exported to this new blog.
i'm trying to REALLY start fresh and don't want to use the other login anymore. big changes here peeps. big changes.
So now I am http://yetanothermotherrunner.blogspot.com/
comment and let me know you found me for real this time. (sorry Jules. I know I'm going to get a text about this in 3, 2, 1......)

The latest on Charlie
Last week we took Charlie to the orthopedist to check the status of his broken wrist. They cut the cast off and did another xray. His bones were healed! The doctor showed us and with my non-expert eye I could see where the bone healed very nicely. We also looked at his xrays from November to see that he did not have any bone density diseases, which is what two broken bones in 2 months made us worry about. I had no clue how nervous I was about that until I got the word that we were in the clear.
This week, we have his appointment with the eye doctor to be sure that he's not having any depth-perception problems. My gut tells me it's not his eyes. I really think he's either just super clumsy or he needs to see an ENT sooner rather than later. I want to avoid more broken bones.

Last week before church, Charlie looked so cute. I slicked his hair back after I washed my hands and he looked like such a big boy! This boy....wow. He has me wrapped right around that finger of his.
Kenny and I are having a debate about his hair. I don't want to cut it, but he does. I don't want my baby to stop looking like my baby!
He's talking so much these days. He essentially just repeats everything I say. Like, "Charlie, say bye to your friends." "Friends!" he says, as he is waving. Ah. Love him.

Day 21- A fave photo of you
What does it say about me if I can't come up with just one?
I love this one because I was doing what I love. Snuggling my first born after he nursed himself to sleep. At the beach. This place, this act, this picture of me makes me so happy.
And another one at the beach with both my babes. In a favorite spot, at the dunes. Wearing my baby boy, holding my big boy and sporting tie-dye. I love this one too.
And I love this one because I feel tough when I look at it. I'm tough, right?

Day 20 - handwriting
My notes I took while asking what I could eat on the cleanse I'm starting today. If I'm grumpy, blame the lack of sugar I'm ingesting.
I haven't forgotten...
about my photo of the day project. It's just gonna be a little behind. I've taken the pics..just haven't posted them. Broken arms make for a crazy week.

Day 19 - Something you hate to do
I hate unpacking. But most of all, I hate that my dad has "personal items" that need to be taken care of by someone. I miss him.

Another day, another broken limb.
Oh, my Charlie. My sweet baby boy. As if his cast on his leg at Christmas wasn't enough, he now has a cast on his arm. On Wednesday, I was out for a run when KT showed up at the park with the boys (KT NEVER does this. He knows mama needs her time.) so I knew something was wrong.
Charlie was screaming holding his hand and his face was all scratched up on his face. KT says that he fell off the (same) slide at school and he has been upset ever since.
We all go home, load up with bananas, apples. and sippy cups and head to the Orthopedic Urgent Care. Luckily, I think this place is a secret because we went straight back and were x-rayed within 15 minutes of arriving.
The doctor came in and cut to the chase as I was babbling on about how this happened. "Yep, it's broken."
Sigh.
His left wrist has a buckle fracture. She showed us the x-ray which was very clearly showing the break.
After Will did a few things out of character for him, we let him choose the cast color since it was clear to us he is having some issues with not getting all the attention. He's such a good big brother but of course he was a tad jealous of his little brother.
We were in and out of the Urgent Care in an hour.
Charlie seems good. He was super happy last night after school but today he was incredibly grumpy. He didn't sleep well so that probably had something to do with it. He's very clingy to me which I don't hate. Heh.
I've called the pediatrician and we have a follow-up with the orthopedist to do some bone density testing. We also have an eye doc appointment because our concern now is that our little man might have some vision issues. This is the second time he's fallen off this slide and broken something. He also doesn't catch himself when he falls and has walked completely off the platform at school. We're worried about his depth perception and will hopefully get answers soon.
Until then, we'll just wrap my guy in a bubble.
