Happy Birthday Aunt Jessie!

Happy Birthday Jessica and welcome home! I'm so glad you got to be home on your birthday with your sweet little boys. What a great birthday present! Jackson is excited to make you some HAPPY CAKE!!! Get lots of rest and we will see you soon. We Love you and hope you have a great day.

Jess and I are the same age from July 23 to August 12th. I have always thought is was fun being the same age. When we were kids I thought is was fun because it would confuse people. They would ask our age, and we would say the same thing. Oh, your twins? Nope. Now I just think it's fun because we are so close and we have babies that are the same age too. How fun is that?!?!

Two Months Old.....Time for shots!

Well, I can't believe Jordan is already 2 months old. Thursday we went to get her first set of shots, and let me tell you, this girl has got a set of lungs. She screamed so loud I think she scared herself. It was so very sad. I didn't know such a little thing could make such a big noise. I'm pretty sure Jackson was never that loud. I guess that girls are just meant to be squealers. Maybe screaming helps though. In just a few minutes she was fine and slept all the way back to Aunt Jessie's house. She handled the shots really well and there were no knots or redness on her legs and she didn't run a fever. I was so happy. I think I had a harder time than she did. I was sick to my stomach all day waiting for her to get her shots. I even took Aunt Jessie with me for moral support because Josh couldn't go. Jordan weighed 10 lbs 12 oz. Here is a picture after her shots. Who would guess she just got stabbed 3 times with needles? Such a strong girl.

Time for Happy Cake!

Sunday evening we headed down to Fayetteville to a friends Birthday Party. For Jackson that means one thing...HAPPY CAKE!! It also happened to be a pool party and we had a blast. Of course Jordan and I didn't swim, but the boys did. Jackson got to swim for about an hour and loved every second of it. Jordan got to sport her new swimsuit. Although she didn't get to swim, she looked adorable. For dinner we had some yummy BBQ. There were ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken wings, and the best chocolate chip cookies ever! I need that recipe Carrie.

Here is Jackson asking if we can have happy cake now for about the 100th time. This kid loves him some happy cake.

ImageCheck out this awesome pool. I loved the waterfall! It was such a peaceful place to sit and watch for the whole 5 seconds Jordan and I could tolerate the heat. Whooo it was hot. Here is the little table in the pool that Jackson loved to jump off of. This is really all he wanted to do and he could have stayed all night in the pool. He has no fear of the water, which scares me to death. I can't wait until cousin Autumn can give him swim lessons. We've got to teach this boy to swim.

ImageThe little boy in front holding the water bottle is Jobey. Our friends Ben and Carrie adopted him from Africa and he is the cutest, plumpest little thing ever! I just want to pinch his cheeks. Next to him is Alias, also super duper adorable. Like Jobey, he was adopted from Africa by another couple at the party. They are the same age and have birthdays 1 day apart. How cute is that? It is so neat that they can be such good buds and have the same background. I almost snatched both of them to come home with me they were so cute! :o)

ImageA family picture. No swim suit this year for me, but that didn't stop me from getting wet. Jackson and his wet little self made sure of that.

ImageHere is Jordan and her pack-n-play buddy Noah. He's 1 month older than her. He seemed to be having a good time, while Jordan took the opportunity to sleep a little.

ImageHere is my friend Carrie (the yummy cookie maker) with her mom Stephanie and Jordan. Stephanie gave us a free ultrasound with both Jackson and Jordan. This is the first time she has seen Jordan since she was in my belly.

ImageAnd here is a picture of daddy and Jordan. I have one word...Awww! Is That really a word?

Play group

We finally made it to a play group today. This is only the second one since I found out I was pregnant. Pathetic I know, but I'm not a good pregnant person and I wanted Jordan to be around 6-8 weeks old before I get her out too much. Jackson got to have a picnic with his friends and play a the park. When we left he had so much dirt on him we came home and got straight in the bath. We want to say bye to the Kay's. We will miss you.

Jackson and the girls...There were no boys at playgroup today. Jackson didn't seem to mind.

ImageYummy picnic. Jackson is probably the only 3 year old that doesn't know what a hot dog is. He pulled the hot dog out of the bun and said "what is this stick thing mommy". Obviously I don't buy or eat hot dogs. Many of you may say poor kid...but do you know what are in those things? Uggg... It was somewhat of a proud moment.

ImageClimb climb. This seemed like it was too tall for Jackson to be climbing, but he did it with ease. It's one of those moments that you have to let go and trust that they can do something without your help. Not always an easy thing to do.

Sweet Moments

Here is a picture of Jackson and Jordan in our bed. Every morning Jackson comes into my room and crawls up in the bed. Sometimes he watches cartoons and sometimes he wants breakfast. On this day, I had sat Jordan down and Jackson crawled up and wanted to sleep by her. It was so sweet.

ImageHere is Jordan on her playmat. This is the first time she's been on it. She usually is asleep, in my arms, or has to be propped up because of reflux.

ImageHere is Jackson and Jordan holding hands. He always tries to hold her hand in the car. When she grabs on he's so excited. "look mama, she's hold'n my hand" he says. He loves to hold her hand and give her kisses. Such a good big brother.

ImageBig bow...so cute.

4th of July

Here are a few Pics of July 4th. We didn't go watch fire works in Bentonville. We stayed home and Josh's dad came to visit. Diana is still in Atlanta with Holly as she continues to recover. She is doing well by the way. Jackson was so excited to go pick out fireworks, even though he really didn't know what they were yet. Someone near our house put on a fireworks show that was pretty good. Jackson really like them. Jordan was scared so we stayed in the house for most of it.

My Favorite Things

Well, it's been a while (like a month) since I've posted anything so here goes. I have decided to post some of my favorite things. I saw this on another blog a while back and thought it was a cute idea. Although life is really good right now, it seems so busy and it is easy to get caught up in the stresses of the day. Jordan will just be eight weeks tomorrow and I'm still adjusting to getting us all three ready and out the door. It takes me a while and it's just easier to stay home. Not to mention I get a lot more done when I'm home. Although my house stays a wreck half the time. I thought this would be a good way to reflect on the things I really like. Anyway, on with the list...........

My Favorite Things
These are not in any particular order (except maybe the first one) and there are lots of them.

*Together time. (Each night we do a family devotional. It is our "together time" and we all pile on the couch and cuddle up. We read a devotional book with a bible story and then we talk about it with Jackson and then we have prayer time. He looks forward to it every night and it is really sweet. I love being able to have that time with the Lord as a family. I can't think of anything better.)
*Holding my new baby girl.- she's so darn sweet.
*Going on walks and playing outside with Jackson. - he's so darn cute.
*A long hug from Josh.
